The drinks are cheap, the crowd is a good blend of folks but the service leaves something to be desired. Not very friendly OR efficient. This is a place to come when you’re already buzzed and want to hear some karaōke. Decent local dive bar. Eat before you go too because the food isn’t great.

If you’re not constantly begging for attention from the bartenders(with the exception of aiuyen and her sister), I would suggest you stay away. How do two people who order after you get their drinks before you when all you ordered was a draft beer? Once is fine, but all night? And when you forget something at the bar, proceed to ask those same bartenders over the phone that you forgot such items, just to not receive a response after 3 calls(and once they do answer, they respond that it is a «privilege» that they are looking for your item and not their responsibility) while cursing at you? Especially when the purpose of your 2nd call was just to complain as to how unhelpful they were after hanging up on you the first time. This place has the WORST customer service I have recieve at any bar or restaurant. Even through it all, still tipped 20%(which they afterwards stated, and I quote, «I doubt you tipped at all, what did you order?» Only to tell them exactly what you ordered and how you paid for your friends tab [for which there was no direct response regarding their comment once they looked at the receipt and saw that I was not, in fact, lying]). What. A. Joke.

I’ll come this bar after work a few times a month. They have some pretty good drink specials that start after 11pm. The crowd is always friendly and wide-ranging, from the service industry crowd getting off work to locals coming in for a drink. They have a healthy amount of TV’s(and bartenders that will put on your game) and two pool tables in the back. A wide-array of draft beer including craft, domestic and imported are offered including some rotating taps. I have only eaten here a couple of times and have had a chicken quesadilla, which was good, and a cheeseburger and fries which were very good. This place gets points for keeping it simple, having a solid, friendly staff. and being fairly inexpensive.

This is literally the worst business I have ever been to. The service is horrid, the bartender’s lie to their customers because they are lazy, it took 30 min to get 1 drink. I have actually been to this place 7 times and the services have been the same every single time. The only waitress they had on a saturday night for the entire bar was so rude and rolled her eyes and ignored you if you tried to get her attention, I’m my book that is unacceptable. I will definitely try to deter anyone I know from ever going there.

An old style corner type bar. Good prices and maybe the best fries in Dallas. Chill pretty darn good too. Eclectic patrons watching sports and playing amature holdem league poker.

TL;DR — Weak drinks, mediocre(probably frozen) food, and incompetent staff. Probably won’t be coming back here.

We’ve stopped in here a couple of times. I really wish Stan’s still here because I really liked the food and the atmosphere of THAT place. This replacement doesn’t really offer anything if you’re not a regular. Last night was the pinnacle of bad service we’ve received anywhere. So… congrats to them for that. The service was horrible and we didn’t have the opportunity to order food. The draft beer sample out of the tap wasn’t cold. Our waitress forgot about my drink… so we left after 20 very frustrating minutes. I’m sure there are people in the area who enjoy this place, but we won’t be one of them.

I have eaten here a few times and it was usually very good. But yesterday I ordered some wings and they were the worst That I have ever eaten. It makes no sense how they can do so well on most dishes but screw up on such a simple dish. I noticed a new employee in the kitchen, that may be the problem.

Good food. Good bartender. Don’t get why other people bring their infants to the bar though. It gets extremely busy after 12pm but I still got my drink right away.

I came here on a Sunday night around 7 – 8. I have heard they do karaōke but they weren’t this past Sunday. We decided to stay for a drink and I didn’t catch the bartenders name but she was short with long dark hair. She seemed busy as if she was the only one on staff but. Did great. I was with a group of 5 and we got drinks rather quickly! She even came out and dropped off things from behind the bar while we played pool. We did play music and didn’t have anyone skip our songs… I know Taylor swift isn’t a fav of everyone. I’ll be back for sure! I didn’t look at a menu but my overall first time experience was positive!

Extremely inattentive bar staff. One bartender chose to skip the songs on the digital juke box that other guests had paid for because«she thought the music was crap» — Victoria the bartender. This is not the first time she has done this. This has happened to others, other Unilocalers, and people that are just looking to listen to some of their favorite music. No knowledge of beers available. Bar staff was inattentive to the point of frustration. I repeat this to reiterate the point. Parkway tavern has lost my business(as well as my friends and coworkers).

Local watering hole. Nothing about my visit was special. It was great to have a drink on the patio while the weather was nice.

Jessica the backup bartender might as well be the the lead. She was fantastic! As for the main bartender, she had little to no customer service. Sometimes woman will not serve woman. In this case she needs to be nice to everyone.

This place is tucked away in a shopping center(behind Abuelo’s). The owners also own The End Zone in Plano. Good food that won’t break the bank. We have fairly large happy hours here(30 + people) and they always take good care of us. The wait staff is attentive and friendly. The have a patio that is dog friendly and 2 pool tables inside. They also have karaōke.

My team and I ended up here after going to another restaurant and the wait was too long for us. It’s kind of hidden in the back side of the parking lot, but that ended up in our favor as there wasn’t a wait. When we walked in the bartender asked if we were here for Poker Night, so on some nights they have a Poker Night. We just wanted to eat. We seated ourselves and were approached by the waitress who handed us 2 menus for 4 people. The menu was a very nice try with arrows that pointed to unmissable items. The waitress came back a few times to ask us if we were ready, despite only having 3 of the 4 at our table(one had to step out for a phone call). Eventually she said«are you gonna order some food»? We ended up ordering an empanada appetizer while we waited. After our 4th got back I ordered the grilled chicken with veggies. The veggies I think were zucchini and squash, but it was dark. The food was better than I expected. I was pleasantly surprised. Being from out of town we got a good laugh between the menu, the waitress, and the locals.

I had a great time the first time I was here. I came here on a Thursday night and play music on touchtunes but one of the person working there(who was hanging out) would just straight up grab the remote and skip your song. What is the point of having a jukebox and just some lady who work there skip your song so she can hear her Rascal Flatts. Wth?! Straight up RUDE. I waited to hear my song which I paid for. We are the costumers and you work here to please us at 11-midnight. I win is great, btw.

This place is owned/managed by the same people that own/manage The End Zone in Plano. It was our first time here and we came on a Friday night around 8. There were a few people there sitting around the bar. Karaōke started at 10 and the place filled up. Jason, the KJ, did a great job hosting and the crowd sung a good mix of songs so everyone was satisfied. Our table was mainly there for drinks, but we did try the beef and chicken nachos and they were very good. The service was friendly and fast. A fun place with good prices and good food. We would go here again.

I have not reviewed this business yet, but felt it fair to Stan’s to start a new review as this is NOT Stan’s anymore. It is under new ownership, and therefore should be judged on it’s own merits. I do plan on trying them this week and will follow up with an update.
