Got a 4:30pm Pedicure with a gal pal & then popped over to Kenny’s Burger Joint which was a 1 minute walk across the parking lot. Slightly uncomfortable, we 2 girls walked up to the bar & were immediately greeted by 2 of the friendliest bartenders you can find. Derrick & his co-bartender took such great care of us. One shared drink specials, told jokes & helped us pick the wonderful menu choices while Derrick shared a good personal story & told us about the other places that Kenny owns. Together: the bartender team at Kenny’s Burger Joint in Plano is unbeatable. Add a Great Royal ½ lb Cheeseburger with ‘Incredible Sweet Potato Fries’ & we girls were in Heaven! You gotta go there! Burgers are fantastic — as you would expect from any of Kenny’s restaurants. I pretty much always get the Black and Blue burger which is out of this world. All of the waitstaff have been super but we always try to sit in Melissa’s section when she’s available. Not only is she attentive but she’s friendly and entertaining as well.

Not a huge burger fan, mostly due to health issues and the fact that nearly every restaurant cooks a burger to death, plops it on a dense bun, and serves it up with fries that go soggy a nanosecond after they hit the table. Not so here. You can get your burger at whatever temperature you want. Make no mistake, this is huge. Not many places do it, and most of that do tend to err on the more done side. My burger was medium, and it was great. It was on a light bun, soft on the top, crunchy toasted on the inside(the cut where the goodies go). The fries were top notch. They have an awesome beer selection and the service was great. Best burger I’ve had in Plano.

We absolutely LOVE Kenny’s Burger Joint. We have always enjoyed all the Kenny’s restaurants, but the Burger Joint is HOME!!! The bar is fabulous. Alyssa has become our favorite bartender… so attentive, entertaining and talented. The food is scrumptious! We have our favorites, but know whatever we order, we won’t be disappointed. Also, if you want one stuffed jalapeño, or one onion ring, you can order it… full order is not required!

We LOVE Kenny’s Burger Joint! We’ve been going to Kenny’s every week since they opened! They will make your burger any way you want it so we create new combos all the time and they are always cooked perfectly! You can order one fried jalapeño(they are SOGOOD) or just tell them how many fried pickle slices you want so you don’t have to get a full order. We even ordered 10 jalapeños to go and broiled them at home for a party. They were a huge hit! If you want to share a burger, they’ll split it for you and bring it out on 2 plates. We love that! Go see Alyssa at the bar. She is AWESOME! She has the best attitude and makes killer cocktails! We always have a great time!

Based on other reviews and the fact that this is a Kenny’s joint I had high expectations. We first ordered drinks. I got the margarita. I always check the ingredient list on the menu first because I can’t stand sweet and sour mix but this list had agave and citrus but no mix listed. When it came to the table in a full soda size glass with the color of a lime creamcicle I knew it had mix in it but I gave it a try anyway. Sure enough a ton of mix was in there. I asked the waitress about the mix and she said«most all margaritas have mix in them so it’s implied that mix is in there.» I couldn’t believe it. I’m at a Kenny’s joint. Why would anyone assume there would be cheap mix in a margarita here? It’s not necessary. Despite my disapproval she didn’t apologize and offer me something else, I had to tell her I wanted something else. I thought that was a little strange. She offered to get me a margarita without the mix so I agreed. It came back in the same huge glass with just a bunch of extra lime juice. It was soooo sour but I wasn’t going to send it back again. Then we ordered the burgers. We got the Brie and mushroom and the black and blue burger(Cajun spices and blue cheese). Although Brie is typically a strong cheese there was no Brie flavor in sight. I even scooped up some Brie that fell on my plate and had it by itself and could barely taste anything. I was a little worried the black and blue burger may be too spicy but there was absolutely no spice on this burger ATALL even though it was supposed to have«Cajun spices» on it. I will say the meat itself did have a good flavor but nothing else was really that impressive. We also ordered the truffle Parmesan fries and they were actually good. However they are a fairly small portion so you wouldn’t be able to share them with too many people.FYI. Overall, it wasn’t horrible(other than the marg) but it wasn’t good either. I wouldn’t go back. There are just too many other great burger places.

We have been to the Legacy location several times as it is closer to our house. When we got a gift card, we decided to check out this location. We are glad we did! Fun atmosphere, nice music that’s not too loud, and happy, courteous staff that were very knowledgable of the menu and specials. Derek took very good care of us, even when we ended up staying longer than we planned and turned into a «camper table». :) He was still all smiles. We will definitely be back!

Pretty average burgers. Nothing to rave about. Started off with the pulled pork nachos and the fried pickles. Pulled pork nachos are pretty decent and the portion is huge. Abundant amount of pulled pork as well, they definitely do not skimp. The fried pickles have a good breading and I really have no complaints about that. Our server brought us chipotle ranch along with ranch to dip the fried pickles in so shout out to him for that. The truffle parmesan fries were great. I like the fries here more than the fries at Hopdoddy’s. They are consistently crispy on the outside and the good kind of mushy on the inside. My bro got the bacon and egg burger on sourdough(instead of a regular bun) per the recommendation of our server. He said a mixture of the burger juices and grease seeped through the sourdough bread and basically made the bread almost too soggy to even hold. He had to wipe his hands and mouth after every bite. My sis got the mushroom brie and said it was pretty standard other than the fact that the bun was a little on the dry side and kind of cold. She ended up ditching the bun halfway through her meal. I have the same complaint for my chicken sandwich. The chicken was cooked pretty well but the bun really made the sandwich not enjoyable for me. All in all, this is a decent place. All the burgers were cooked perfectly to medium rare as specified but Kenny’s needs to up their bun game. I probably won’t come back. If I do, it’s for the fries.

What a great place! They have crowds but my wife & I did slide into a bar spot. The bar tenders were great and my bacon cheeseburger was delicious! I’ll go back for the Parmesan Truffle fries!

This place is a lot more casual than I expected, and that’s a good thing. We came during winter break for kids so it was packed on a Tuesday night in December. Our server, Melissa was very friendly and offered us drinks and said happy hour was still on, which was nice because we weren’t eating at the bar. We ordered the cheese fries with bacon and jalapeños to start. My brain was telling me this is the worst thing you can do for your body but my taste buds were screaming out, «ohhhh yeeeeaaa!» It was that good. Cheesy, salty, spicy goodness all in one artery hardening plate! I got the burger with bacon and guac and hubs got the messy one with queso. They were huge! All burgers are a half pound, hence the prices. I could only eat half of mine. Would definitely recommend this place if you have a burger craving. Great food, service and family atmosphere.

Kennys has redeemed themselves! I usually go to the Frisco location but decided to try the Plano location today. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with fries and it was cooked to perfection. My server was very attentive. The fries were too salty and I sent them back and asked for no seasoning and they were perfect. I’m so glad I had a great experience this time because my previous experience wasn’t good at all.

Here we go! Finally made it here LOL! My Unilocal Boo, Venus, has been talking about this spot forever. I had to compromise with her, because I really want to try the Kenny’s Italian Kitchen… but burgers first LOL. We met up here on Tuesday evening for dinter and convo! Luckily I had browsed the menu before coming, so I kinda knew what I wanted… Venus was ready and had told the guy what she wanted LOL. I’m not a beef eater, but am trying to bring it back into my routine eating… but I have to crawl before I walk. Thankfully, Kenny’s allowed me to choose one of their specialty burgers and make it a 1/3lb, rather than the normal ½lb. Y’all…I LOVEBLUECHEESECRUMBLES… LAWDHELPME! So of course, I went for the black & blue burger. A cajun spiced patty, blue cheese & dressing w/lettuce & tomatoes… not a big onion fan! I snatched some of Venus’ sweet tater fries LOL! So our waiter, went and placed our orders and brought back my $ 3 barcardi rum & coke(select premiums $ 3…SCORE). We sat and chatted a while and«drum roll» here comes the food. Now… real talk… I don’t know what type of bread they use… but that wasn’t Mrs. Baird’s LOL. That was greatness tho, lightly buttered, fluffy, fresh… MYGAWD! Then the mound of blue cheese crumbles on the patty… just took my heart & breath! I will admit… it’s been a while since I’ve had a beef burger, but I appreciated the fact it wasn’t a thick patty, it was the right consistency… seasoned to perfection and just Heaven on Earth! I had a corner of my burger left… which didn’t make it until morning time LOL. The sweet tater fries were cooked nicely and seasoned with greatness! Y’all I’ll be honest… we’ll be back! I may have to box Venus for her usual spot LOL

Went during lunch and really enjoyed it. I had the juicy Lucy with mayo and ketchup and it was great. Super messy but worth it. My mom had the bacon cheeseburger and her only complaint was it was a little heavy on the mustard so maybe ask for it on the side. Sweet potato and Parmesan fries were both really good.

Yet another 5 star restaurant by Kenny! The servers are all five star as well as is the food. I had the patty melt and fries and Kim Tossed in a pickle for me to try with the chipotle sauce. He got me hooked on the pickles! They are thick and they can hold up to double dipping! Kenny has another goldmine on his hands. By far these have got to be the best burgers and I’m going to modify mine when I return as suggested to me by my server! This place was packed at lunch time so I can only imagine how it is at dinner time.

Had the Jucy Lucy burger and the Pepperjack Guacamole burger, with a side of sweet potato and truffle Parmesan fries. The Jucy Lucy burger was pretty good, and the cheese inside was nice and warm; melted too. The only sad part was that my cheese«fell out» of my burger, so I didn’t get the whole reheated cheese experience, haha. The Pepperjack Guacamole burger was okay, but I honestly preferred my Jucy Lucy burger more. The standout for this place were the truffle parmesean fries, served with some sort of pesto dipping sauce! The combination of parmesean cheese and pesto sauce was frickin’ awesome! Would definitely come back for the fries!

We’re big fans of Kenny’s Woodfire Grill and Kenny’s Smokehouse. Both serve excellent food and offer excellent service. On our last visit to Smokehouse, our server mentioned that he also worked at the Burger Joint. That’s how we found ourselves at Kenny’s Burger Joint on an afternoon when we were craving a burger. By the way, I’m not sure what Kenny does to engender such loyalty from his staff, but it’s evident at every one of his restaurants. Staff speak highly of him and his leadership team, as well as of each other. That makes for an awesome positive dining experience every time we’ve been at a Kenny’s restaurant. The Burger Joint is definitely the most casual of his properties that we’ve been to — kind of upscale diner with chef-driven food. The menu offers plenty of choices yet is well edited to just two pages. I ordered the mushroom Brie burger, medium. The husband ordered a chili burger with chili, cheese and jalapeños, medium(skipping the offer of Fritos as part of a Happy Birthday Fritos! option). Both burgers were cooked perfectly. I was really impressed that the Brie was a light touch, not a heavy cheesy mess. For sides we ordered sweet potato fries(I would have liked these cooked for a slightly shorter amount of time — they were a little dark) and onion rings. We asked for the onion rings to come out first — no problem. The onion rings were easily the best I’d ever had. Crispy batter, thick sliced onion, more than enough with 5 to the plate. Our server suggested BBQ sauce for dipping… great idea. Yum. We ate everything, which is equally embarrassing, gluttonous and a high compliment. We also ordered a Makers Mark root beer float to split. That was a great decision! The ice cream was vanilla soft serve, allowing the float to melt into creamy boozy yumminess. A perfect ending to a great lunch. So why just 4 stars? Our server was maybe a little too quirky for our preference, even while doing a good job of serving us. It was just really different from all of our other Kenny’s experiences. But I wouldn’t be surprised if I give Kenny’s 5 stars the next time we go back. And we will be going back.

While visiting family in Texas, the DBF and I grabbed lunch alone on Memorial Day. His sister had suggested this place; it was within walking distance of their house and was a good place to grab a burger. Definitely the right food choice for the holiday! The place was packed when we got there, but we were able to be seated in a small area off to the side of the main room. Everything here is a la carte, but the coolest part is the appetizers. You can get any of them as half orders, and can even order the bacon wrapped jalapenos individually! That is awesome for someone like me who wants to try EVERYTHING! We started off with parmesan truffle fries and tater tots, and also two bacon wrapped jalapeño peppers stuffed with mozzarella. The fries were delicious, the tots were standard and the jalapenos were good. I have never had them wrapped in bacon before and it gave them a nice flavor, but they didn’t pack the punch of heat that I was hoping for. I kept going back to those fries though, they were so good. For our mains I ordered the Bacon and Egg burger and added tomato. It came with Béarnaise sauce and American cheese, and was cooked perfectly. It was very good but very rich. I would probably get a regular burger next time just so I could get a better appreciation of the flavor of the meat. The DBF got the turkey burger with a sunny side up egg, LTOP. He thought it was great. The turkey had a really good flavor to it too. We had a nice time here that afternoon. The place was crowded and noisy but not in a bad way. Everyone was happy and having a good time. The service and the patrons were all friendly, and we wound up chatting with a neighboring table at the end of our meal about the food challenge that Kenny’s has. Not a bad way to spend a rainy afternoon, and we left with full bellies.

I came in to do a to go order. Everyone was extremely friendly. When I walked in, the entire staff said«hi». I went to the bar to put my order in. The bartenders were very nice and informative. One told me about their process of cooking on a wood fired grill and said if I get medium rare, it’ll be really red in the middle. I like medium rare but decided to go for medium because of his warning. It was cooked in between medium and medium rare. It was perfect. I ordered the Mushroom Brie, Queso burger and Loaded Cheese Fries. I love how they kept the queso and Brie sauces separated. They also showed me all the dishes before putting them in the bag. That’s something that’s hardly ever done at other restaurants. I greatly appreciate it because it ensures that everything is accounted for before I leave the restaurant. It took about 15 – 20 mins to get home and everything held up well. The burger patties were seasoned and cooked perfectly. The Brie sauce was great. The mushrooms were cooked to perfection. The bun was great. The queso burger and fries were also great. The burgers had a great balance of ingredients. The burgers were great and their entire staff was outstanding. They were attentive, fun, welcoming and informative. I can’t wait to eat in.
