Café Bohemia is a hidden jewel on the east side of Plano. If you like to write Wednesday Night writing group is a great place to be.

Café Bohemia is a great find, with a unique menu, good prices, and an awesome vibe! I took a group of 8 adults on a Saturday night when they had live music, and we snagged the front corner booth area, which was perfect for an engaging conversation. I had the banana cream soda — a tall drink with lots of whipped cream — unique and totally delish! Everyone enjoyed their drinks, which also included the root beer cream soda, a couple types of tea, flavored coffee, and some bottled water. The owner was great, rearranging some things to make us more space, talking with us(but not too much), and handling our orders personally. It is the kind of place you would expect on main street in a small town; it is a convenient surprise that it is tucked into a sleepy neighborhood in Plano!

Vanilla Nut Latte w/Almond Milk — oh my goodness, this place is GOOD! Evie is the sweetest and has lots of homemade jewelry and bookmarks for sale. The earrings are a steal at $ 4/pair. Easily one of the best coffee shops in the area!

Evie, the owner was so sweet and made me feel more at home than home. She made me a chai latte(not from concentrate) that was dynamite. Her art and jewelry is nice too. Highly recommend over your chain coffee shops for a change of pace– the ambiance is very relaxing. There are tons of board games if you’re looking for a place to hang out.

A bit of a hidden gem, this place has an eclectic feel with a welcoming vibe. My wife and I were immediately greeted by the owner when we walked in and offered a place to sit(for me to read and for my wife to meet with a couple for a wedding photography consult). She then took our drink order and began preparing our beverages while we settled in. Rather than call us up to the bar when they were ready, she hand delivered each of our drinks and assured our satisfaction before taking our payment. The drinks themselves were great. Both my wife and I ordered the Naughty Irishman, a blend of hazelnut and Irish Cream, hers hot and mine iced. Unlike most coffee shops, the drinks were balanced without being too sweet or too bitter. The shots were smooth and the flavoring appropriate for the # of shots included. Highly recommend, will come again.

This is a great little coffee shop and I so hope it does well. I came here to watch a show and enjoyed sipping my drink and hearing some good tunes. I love that there is homemade jewelry and art on the walls waiting to be purchased. The owner was pretty friendly and engaged in conversations with her customers which I thought was awesome. I’m waiting for another show so I can go out there again and try something new on the menu.

Went on Christmas eve — the place has a lot of character, and I wanted to check out and support a small business. But I think they were preoccupied with gift wrapping or closing. We had about 2 hours before the posted closing time, but it felt a little like we weren’t welcome. Maybe I’ll give it a second chance another time.

Stopped in for a friends Art Show a few weeks ago. Eclectic and lively and over all very inviting. I love the couch seating area and tables which you can ‘add to the art’ by doodling. Live music isn’t my thing, but if it’s yours, they have it often and always local artists and groups.

The owner is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. You can tell she puts her entire heart into every cup of coffee as well as into the entire shop. It’s such a cute little place and the lady is so so creative. She has so much pretty art everywhere! I definitely recommend coming here! It’s good for your soul. Oh, and the coffee was so so so good!

Found this place through Unilocal and it is an absolute charm. The owner is the friendliest you’ll find, and the food/coffee is amazing. Plus, a lot of the craft items for sale are made by the owner. Absolutely recommend this establishment. Great to see local coffee shops alive and well.

I came here on a random Wednesday afternoon, and that first sip of hot white mocha reminds me of my first kiss. So good. Like, really really good. Will definitely come back again to check out the events.

I came here for a comedy show event that they had for a small fee. I randomly found this on Eventbrite and thought I would give it a try. The coffee shop was holding this comedy show but they were still serving drinks. As soon as I walked in I noticed a lot of comfy couches that I could enjoy sitting and reading a book while sipping on some joe. I get ecstatic when i see amaretto flavor for coffee. This is so rare but I feel a lot of people love the taste of almond, so why not make it standard? Well I had to order this in a big cup of course! We snuggled on a couch to enjoy the comedy show with our delicious coffees. I would like to come and try their food, probably will do this on a Tues/Thurs when they have their guitar sessions or maybe Fri/Sat during live music. My goodness I do love some live music with a nice cup of coffee and good food and company. Now that the weather is being nice, we could sit outside enjoying the beautiful weather, music, and coffee. What more could you ask for Dallas?

I came here for the first time ages ago because a friend had told me she loved the coffee here. I expected to get a mildly bitter cup of coffee that would help me stay awake through class. I got something entirely different. Café Bohemia is much more than a coffee shop — it’s a coffee shop, antique store, and café all rolled into one. This isn’t one of your typical pretentious hand brewed only coffee shops. It’s like Starbuck’s cooler, more popular brother — the indie, with just a touch of hipster(okay, it’s really hard to describe. Just check this place out and you’ll understand the vibe I’m trying to describe) The coffee drinks are very sweet and delicious. If you don’t like the taste of coffee try a snicker’s latte or a grasshopper. Both are amazingly chocolatey and you can barely taste the coffee. This isn’t one of your typical pretentious hand brewed only coffee shops. They do have more traditional drinks too, which are pretty decent too. I didn’t try much of the food, but some of my friends did and loved what they ordered. They’re even starting hot meals nowadays. What really drives this place over the top is the owner — Evie. She is such a sweetheart and guaranteed to make your experience amazing. One of the cutesy things they sell at this store are bookmarks. I was a little disappointed that they didn’t have any in purple. When I mentioned this to Evie, she said she’d make one for me. By the time my friend and I finished our drinks, she had a stack made that were all incredible. I swiped the two prettiest ones for $ 7 a piece — what a steal! They’re great for gifts for any bookworm and are truly miniature masterpieces. We made plans to go to a nearby pond after coffee, so we were about to head out. Evie had heard us talking about the lake and brought out a bunch of rolls for us to feed the ducks. My friends and I were truly touched by how sweet she is. It’s very rare you find such a gem of a place like this one. Must hurry back soon!

I love this place! Always feels like home! The owner is so sweet and makes the best croissant sandwiches! They have live music sometimes and it’s a great way to support local artists! She sells homemade jewelry and art too! Also tons of books to read if you want to just hang out for a while!

Pretty cool privately owned café. Drinks are good with decently sized snack menu such as cookies, sandwiches, etc Only reason to knock off a star is because the place needs to be cleaned up and dusted 10 x over

Bohemian Café This eclectic coffee bar/café is a little treasure nestled in East Plano… on the Corner of Park and Los Rios to be exact. I first learned about the café when I joined a writing group that meets each Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Everybody brings original writing material and shares with the group. What goes on in the minds of subversive suburbanites? The mystery isn’t solved here… but it makes for some interesting entertainment. Evie is the owner/manager and can serve up a mean cappuccino, latte, or whatever your coffee heart desires. She also hosts a range of activities — Comedy Improv, BYOG(Bring Your Own Guitar) events to name a couple. For an area that’s lacking a bit for ANY nighttime action, here’s a place you can call home when you don’t want to be home. Laid back. Easy. Who needs Starf*cks!

Funky place! Although I was the only person in the shop(at 2 pm on a Friday, mind you), I still liked the atmosphere. The comfy couches and customer-graffitied tables were charming. The owner(I think?) was friendly but not very chatty. She did hook it up with a fantastic cup of joe that was smooth and a bit nutty. Also, the muffins looked awesome so I got the Apple Cinnamon. The owner recommended it so of course it was great. I should probably stop by here on the weekends for the live music. Judging by the music that was playing, I’ll probably like it :)

Try one of the sandwiches offered here! The owner told me she makes them herself. I was getting some coffee here, obviously, and I was feeling a bit peckish so I picked up a chicken salad sandwich because I was in a rush and didn’t want to stop somewhere else. It totally surprised me! I was expecting something mediocre, sufficient enough to stave off hunger pains, but the croissant was super soft and it was fresh and flavorful with apple chunks, grapes(or maybe it was cranberries, something like that), and walnuts, I believe. If you’ve ever been to the Chocolate Angel in Richardson, you’ll know what I mean when I say it was as good as theirs.
