Rip! I loved this place. Gr8 service. Awesome crust. Would love to know what killed them? Im sure the fact that the storefront didnt face 59 didnt help. I bet the rent went up too much for the owner. What a shame. And yet everybody is happy to have Fat Rickys with their piss poor service, crap all over them, or always wait 15 extra min at Vita Bella. Or eat mediocre pizza @ Macianos. Farewell Armands!

Even though this place closed I still think it deserves each star. We’ve tried several places since then and none compare. I can only hope the owner closed to open in a better location. That and with some better marketing they would have more business than they knew what to do with. Wish I would have recommended them sooner:(

Armands in my opinion is the best in the area. Crust is crispy, flavorful. definitely recommend. Staff is friendly as well. Looks like they closed down

They’re closed? Just tried calling and the number is disconnected. So we drive there & there’s a handwritten«sorry we’re closed» sign in the window with a for rent sign. This would have been my first time eating here. I’m really bummed that I won’t have any tonight

best pizza around! i grew up in Elmwood Park(original) but have not had this pizza in over 20 years — i was so excited when i noticed the name a few years ago and couldn’t believe it tasted exactly the same!!! the corn meal on the bottom of the crust — magnificent! the stuffed artichokes — awesome! just like the old days!

Just tried the pizza here for the first time. The pan Margherita pizza is delicious! The cannoli was also pretty good. I really liked that I could call ahead and order a couple hours before my pickup. I will definitely be ordering from here again.

Nasty pizza! Dough tasted old. Only thing that tasted good was the sausage topping.

We have found our pizza place in Plainfield. Thin crust is the way to go. Their homemade sausage is worth the hype so go for it. The Tuesday buy one pizza get one free is a great deal. I hope they keep it going. One coupon per purchase and they are strict on this. I knocked the one star off not for the food but because the few times I have been there the staff hasn’t been too friendly or attentive. I have been in there without any other customers and they were just very transactional. Prices for pizza recently went up so they are not the cheapest option in town but I am ok with the price as long as they quality is there. One step below Lou Mals.

Do NOT get bacon on your pizza. The bacon was very undercooked and not crispy at all. Other than that though, the pizza was great. Very thin and crispy crust with what seems like good quality toppings.

If you like good crispy thin crust pizza this is the place, also nice to go to a pizza place and actually see adults«working» instead of kids texting and goofing off, great pizza and love the Stuffed Artichoke

All I can is, «Me Like». Childish, I know, but when something satisfies you that much it’s ok too act like a child.

Amazing pizza! I love the Margherita and my husband loves the Elmwood park. We drive over 20 minutes each way and it’s well worth the drive. The staff is always friendly too!

Haven’t gone to Rosatis or Nancy’s since I came here. Great quality, great price. Brick oven taste and real ingredients. So close to the original Armand’s in Franklin Park. So glad they opened one here in Plainfield. The owner is always there talking and thanking his customers. Stuffed artichoke is best around and baked clams are authentic.

Their service earns high marks from me when they included a coupon deal over the phone as they asked if I had any coupons as well as being quite pleasant in person. Thin crust was very good, sauce had a good sweetness to it.

Great thin crust pizza and great service while dining in. Sorry to hear from owner that they are getting rid of dining room at restaurant. We will definitely be ordering from them for delivery going forward. Keep up the great work and great pizza!!!

There food is always perfectly done and delicious. Staff is always friendly and attentive. We love the 1956 Supreme pizza. You really can’t go wrong for the prices. They use quality ingredients and it’s their own sausage. The taste brings me back to the original location we grew up with. Good things don’t die, they eventually move out to the suburbs! Keep up the great food.

Until recently we were big fans of Aurelio’s and Pieroni’s. Decided to try Armand’s after Aurelio’s seemed to change the recipe for their sauce and possibly the cheese. We have not been, nor are we, disappointed with anything at Armands. The pizza sauce is great. Not overpowering, not too acidic, not too sweet. The cheese doesn’t taste like the plastic-ey type stuff from some of the other restaurants using lesser quality ingredients. Thin crust is perfectly thin and crisp and they offer even thinner specialty pizzas. Excellent! Typically I don’t like to order much else from ‘pizza joints’ but decided to see how well other menu items were prepared. We tried garlic bread, ravioli w/meatballs, side of sausage. Garlic bread was, well garlic bread. Nothing bad, nothing face-plant good either. Bread with butter and garlic. Ravioli was huge! Perfectly done– not too chewy, not underdone. Sauce was different than the pizza sauce and still quite good. Meatballs were really good, and coming from a chickenarian that’s pretty good! Now, I come from upstate NY where the sausage is very, very, very finely ground pork, very tightly packed, and has handfuls of appropriate seasonings. Having been spoiled for life by the sausages of my childhood, this sausage is not what I expect but hubby thought it was good. For me texture was not great, but flavor was good. All in all, Yum!!! You will not be disappointed! Good food, good service, quick delivery, coupons, tickets for free food with each of our orders.

My new favorite pizza place in Plainfield! Take that, Rosati’s! Sausage, roasted red pepper, and garlic on thin crust? Delicious! It smells great in here, like a real pizza place should, and there’s also a small dining area. Their menu also offers sandwiches and various«specialty» pizzas that I can’t wait to try! The service is great also. There were two middle-aged guys working when I walked in, and they were much more friendly and coherent than the teenage jerks I encounter in just about every other pizza place. Not hatin’ on teenagers, but for some reason the ones working at pizza places tend to be really spacey.

Yes, Armand’s has excellent thin crust pizza and a great stuffed artichoke to boot. Their crust is ‘CRISPY’ — why do so may pizza places have soggy or uncooked crust? Thin crust pizza should be crispy, and they do not disappoint. They have been in town since the summer of 2011, on Route 59 just south of Fort Beggs, in the building with ‘Subway’, they are around the side. Owner is very friendly; offered me a free drink while I waited for them to re-do the Artichoke and threw in a free dessert. We will try some of their smaller specialty pizzas as well, they looked good. Looking for great pizza in Plainfield(we’ve been looking for a while), you need to give these guys a try.

WHAT? A good pizza place in our neck of the woods? I CANTBELIEVEIT? I’ve had to settle for mediocre pizza because I’m too lazy to travel… anywhere when I have a craving… but now… it’s like… The Gods have HEARDMYPRAYERS and they deliver me Armand’s. We are truly blessed. oh… and they gave us coupons. It’s like. Wow.
