I have had many dinners and the food is excellent. The service is attentive and I think the price is appropriate. They only do Sunday brunch twice a year, Easter and Mother’s day, although they used to do it more often and I went everytime. I have enjoyed all but one brunch, but that one turned me off from ever doing brunch again. We went on Easter 2015 and it was superb. We went again for Mother’s day 2015 and I had the exact act same thing, lobster omelet, and it was horrible. It looked nothing like the previous one, it was cold and just uneatable. A server, not ours, overheard me and must have told ours, as we were never asked how it was. I sent an email once I got home and never got a reply. I still recommend it, but I was extremely disappointed to have no acknowledgement of my email.

Two years later and the service hasn’t improved. This time our waiter was Patrick and he was busy waiting on his large tables. My husband ordered the blue cheese wedge and the lettuce was not a quality head of lettuce. The only edible leaves were the exterior layers. For his entrée he ordered the boneless ribeye which he said was very good and tender but it was undercooked. As a side he ordered the asparagus. I ordered the smoked lamb bacon and heirloom salad and it was delicious. I also ordered the chefs cut of meat which came with gratin potatoes and creamed spinach which was also very good. Considering this is a upscale steakhouse and the prices are not cheap, we feel that the service should be much better.

I had the halibut and it was perfection! Very tasty tomato confit and a deliciously tart wine/lemon sauce over a potato and pea hash. I’d totally go back for it, except that I was completely disappointed in the service and the wait time. My grandpa tried to joke with our server(whose name I won’t use) and asked him something like, «Are YOU Henry?» I thought it was cute. The server seemed irritated and told my grandpa that that’s just the name of the restaurant. Then, he got our drink orders and shuffled off. Throughout our meal, I don’t think he smiled at any of us once. The food itself took so long to get to our table, even though we were seated right at 5, when they open for dinner. We watched other people get their orders and our server didn’t even check in to tell us where our food was until 45+ minutes after we ordered. Then he did a quick check in, telling us it was almost ready. That wasn’t true, either. No one else was as impressed with their food as I was and my family left looking pretty unhappy. I hate seeing my family leave a place disappointed and I know that if the service had at least been decent, they wouldn’t have minded so much. Look, for the price and the wait time, the food had better be good… and it was, at least for me. Needless to say, I won;t be back… although I’d take it if anyone wants to deliver some halibut to me.

My husband and I went on a rare night out without the kids and thought going to the casino would be fun and grabbing some food wasn’t a bad idea either! While the casino was a great idea… Henry’s was not. We decided to go somewhere nice(we don’t do that often) and we were very disappointed in our food! It was not worth 120 $ for poor quality food. The atmosphere is quiet which I liked and the service was OK. But the food is what I came for and it was not worth the $$!

Went to Henry’s for dinner with my family because we heard they had great food. Unfortunately, our food was neither flavorful nor plentiful. I had the three course T-bone steak special, but because of food allergies requested no sauces be put on it. No sauces, mind you, not mo spices! The appetizer was bacon wrapped shrimp, they were delicious, I wish there were more than two. The t-bone was medium rare, as requested but was NOT flavorful nor tender. There were no vegetables to speak of, the plate had two very small au gratin style potatoes, think marble sized red, that I did not like, but ate because I could not eat the steak without more seasoning and a better knife. The strawberry dessert was delicious. I guess I should have went with the appetizer and probably would have cost the same, but at least I wouldn’t have felt like I wanted to stop at a fast food place for dinner. The service was slow as well. We were the first ones in the restaurant, our group of five and the three couples and one family of three that came in after U.S. Were served first. We did get bread and our beverages but nothing else. Not even our salads, for the two who ordered them.

With banners touting Henry’s Steakhouse«The Best Steakhouse» in the area, the claim is rather misleading, due to the lack of both steakhouses and fine dining establishments in this rural, extended suburb town outside of Sacramento. While celebrating a birthday, we opted for dinner at Henry’s, due to the proximity of the restaurant to where were staying. Upon arriving, we were warmly greeted by the host and seated, we found all of the restaurant staff was very friendly, however, the restaurant itself felt like a hotel lobby with artificial flowers both on the table and as general décor. With prices similar to Ruth’s Chris, the consensus was that the food was far better at Ruth’s, which has a local outlet in Sacramento. The food itself had mixed reviews. Those in the party who had the Wagyu streak reported that it was both bland and flat. Thee rest of the items ordered, which included gratin potatoes, a ribeye and fillet were fine. Salads and the lobster bisque were given a thumbs up. While the price points are no higher than a typical steak house, such as The Palm and Ruth’s Chris, the ambiance lent itself more to dining a Hilton hotel.

Besides the fact that this place is expensive, overall I like the ambience, and food. We ordered the Surf and Turf, Grilled Rack of Lamb, Wood-Fired Asparagus with Herbed Butter, and Crispy Calamari. I had the medium rare Lamb which I thought was well delivered. My dinner companion had the Surf and Turf and thought that it was good. The crispy calamari were actually crispy and delicious, and the asparagus were crunchy. Yummm! Our server was very accommodating. :) This place is great for special occasions. I’d definitely come back.

The four stars come with an asterisk … When we’re looking for a special occasion steakhouse, we go to Morton’s in downtown Sacramento 5 times for every 1 time at Henry’s. Last night is one of the reasons why. Henry’s is fantastic when it comes to food and service, but they fall down on the details. They blew it, and admitted to their doing so, when we left the table without any mention of the occasion we were celebrating. What’s the point of asking if we are celebrating something or if we want a booth versus a table when making a reservation if: A) I’m asked if we want a booth upon arrival or B) they completely drop the ball on the occasion? The GM apologized and said he’d make a note on our profile and take care of a few things for us the next time. Appreciate that, but still left a bad taste in our mouths(unlike the food, which was fantastic). A restaurant at this price point cannot make such mistakes. Morton’s never does and that’s one of the reasons we go there much more often. And, trust me, Henry’s needs the business far more than Morton’s. They can’t afford to not be on their game with every guest, especially those OK spending $ 60 on an ala carte rack of lamb.

Wavering between 2 and 3 stars and guess I’m feeling generous. On the plus side the dining room is very nice and spacious, well-appointed with a low noise level that makes conversation easy. The service, with one exceptionm, was very efficient and friendly. We each ordered steak(what else?). The salad course was disappointing. Henry’s salad was good but the portion was tiny. The Caesar Salad was a good size but very dry. Two of us ordered the NY strip and both arrived barely warm. The server was no where to be found so had to flag down the manager who promptly took the two steaks back to the kitchen. He came back two minutes later. They might have miked the steak though it wasn’t that hot. It was a little chewy with more fat than a steak from an expensive house should have. After writing the above, I’m changing my rating to 2 stars. Places that average $ 60+/person should be held to a higher standard. So I can’t recommend Henry’s unless you happen to be at Red Hawk and are hungry. It’s certainly better than the Mexican or Asian places but that’s not saying much. A casino like this really should have better food.

The chef, the managers and the server at Henry’s made our anniversary party of 14 perfect. We were amazed at the family style, luxury meal service. From our planning meeting to the end of the event, we felt pampered, taken care of and couldn’t rave enough about the quality and presentation of the food. The banquet room holds 18! It’s lovely with glass doors and just the right amount of privacy. First class all the way! Thanks!

My experience has been very bad. I feel the people working behind the bar don’t care about the patron’s wants or needs. I was told that my food would be ready in 30 minutes it took over an hour, when I asked if the steak was well done I found out it was not done. I have a problem with the middle eastern manager’s back talk they wouldn’t give me a break based on my food not being cooked right. I would rather go to outback then taste the bad side of this camel ass! The staff sucks!

Food was just ok for the price we paid. We averaged about $ 125 a person w/apps, dinner and drinks. Between the 7 of us, everyone except 1 person had steak. We all agreed that a Steak from Mortons or Ruth’s Chris would have been much better for paying the same price. Believe it or not, one person in our party ordered the pork chops and they were to die for. If I was to go back, I’d get the pork chops, tempura asparagus, cauliflower and broccoli au gratin and the wedge salad.

Went here for my girlfriends birthday on christmas. Fine dining price was reasonable and service was excellent. U know theyre fancy when they serve u water out of a glass bottle. Food was mediocre i ordered a 20oz prime rib medium but it came out a little too rare. The spinach dip was kinda bland but mac and cheese and the mash potatoe was good and fancy. I went on a packed day though so maybe thats why. Might go back for another go

Hands down Henry’s is the best steakhouse in the Sacramento area. From the quality of the food to the quality of the entire staff… this is what fine dining is all about! I have been coming here for quite some time and I have NEVER had a bad experience. An establishment they are!

Great Dinner with Excellent Service. My wife and I usually patronize the local Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse for a nice red meat dinner out. It is safe to say that we have a fairly high standard. We had heard that the Henry’s Steakhouse at the Red Hawk Casino had excellent quality aged steaks, so we decided to give it a try and go out of our local comfort zone. We were very glad we did! The restaurant is located in the lower area of the Casino. There are beautiful views of the foothills from the windows at the bottom of the escalator. The Steakhouse décor is exactly what you would expect at this quality level of a restaurant. The service was outstanding and started with tasty tempura mushrooms. The Caesar salad is prepared table side just like in an Old School Chicago Steakhouse.(You don’t get that at Ruth’s Chris!) The Steaks are aged on the premises in a special cooler. The Caesar dressing was excellent and clearly freshly homemade. Our steaks were huge and cooked exactly as we ordered them. Even to my Wife’s particular standard. Clearly these people know how to cook a steak to order.(not a common skill these days). My wife and I shared the chocolate/peanut butter special. Our waiter was very attentive and the Restaurant Manager was very friendly and personable. We thought the dinning room was quite nice but the bar seemed pretty lively and they have full meal service there too. Bottom Line: Don’t let the Indain Casino location fool you. This is a First Class Steakhouse. It is every bit the equal of Morton’s or Ruth’s Chris, if not even a notch better. The kitchen staff clearly knows what they are doing, and the servers know their menus. Henry’s Steakhouse is exactly what you would expect in a First Class Steakhouse. Worth the short drive from Sacramento.

Fancy steakhouse within Red Hawk casino This classy joint sure has a great atmosphere. We only came for the drinks at the bar, but even without sitting down for a full meal you can tell the place is fancy, with a nice décor, smooth background music, and well dressed waitstaff and hostesses. This is essentially the place where the people who won money go celebrate, or those who are rich enough to spend a lot! Unfortunately, the bartender was not very knowledgeable – she was clearly new, and she had trouble with finding where things where, how much to charge, who to charge, and basically everything from start to end. When I asked for an «Old Fashioned», she made me a pink drink in a martini class, with a cherry on top. Definitely not what I wanted! Might be worthwhile to have more training first before dealing with paying customers, especially given the amount of effort put into making the place so fancy! In any case, not a bad place to visit if you don’t want to go to the packed buffet across the hall.

If you’re looking for a great meal at a fine dining establishment, you should look elsewhere. The level of service would be bad at a Chili’s, let alone a «fine» steakhouse. Hostess was rude, server was terrible and rushed. Food was mediocre. I’ve been here twice and terribly disappointed both times. If you’re going to dine at Redhawk, you’re better off at the buffet.

Made a special trip here today to take advantage of the 2 pound live Maine lobster for $ 39.99. I had a $ 10 food credit which brought it down to $ 29.99 which I thought was a decent deal even though it is ala carte. Sides are in the $ 7 to $ 9 range. I ordered a bowl… more like a tea cup… of the 5 onion french soup… that was 8 bucks. Soup was awesome. 5 kinds of onions and 3 kinds of cheeses. Full of rich broth flavor and lots of yummy gooey cheese. But there was only about 10 teaspoons in the very small cast iron crock. That’s about a buck a spoonful! Need to up the portions a bit. Great selection of breads The lobster… they should have left the poor guy in Maine. I don’t remember lobster being as tough and chewy as this guy. I am not a lobster expert so I can’t tell you if it was the lobster itself or the way/length of time that it was cooked. Going here today was a waste of my time and money. Only redemption was that I won enough to pay for my dinner plus! The restaurant is nice… quite and smoke free. You would not know you are in a casino. The wait staff was fabulous! Very friendly and attentive. All my needs were taken care of in a timely manner. Kudos to the staff! The two stars are for the lobster… I would give the soup four stars and the wait staff five stars. But since I will not be returning to this restaurant it gets only two stars because it was not ‘ok’ today! Maybe other entrees would be better. Total bill before discounts for my soup and lobster was fifty bucks!
