I hate giving this place a bad review because the staff and owners were so nice! We decided to try that snooty frog one day seeing a sign off the side of Cameron park. Cool little restaurant with a very pleasant atmosphere. I ordered a surf and turf which is usually pretty fool proof. The dish came out with what looked like Cole slaw from the state fair. The lobster was extremely over cooked and had no taste what so ever. Even dipping it in butter did nothing for me. The filet was not any better. It was cooked perfectly but the meat had no flavor and lacked the tenderness that a good filet should have. No nearly enough salt either. The wine selection was decent though. To make a long story short I will not be going back to this place unless they get a new chef that knows how to make a proper steak and lobster.

Horrible smell, dirty feet and wet dog, apparently the carpet needs to be replaced. My bad for not leaving the minute I walked in. Food was just so-so, bread was not fresh or warm so the ice cold butter did not melt, veggies were overcooked, Filet Mignon was cooked well but really had little flavor. All in all, a great disappointment.

Came here with my wife on a rare date night without the kids, and was pretty disappointed overall. The restaurant has that old gross mildewy scent which hits you the second you walk in the door. What’s more, the place just wasn’t that clean. Although the place was totally empty, most of the tables were smudged and not properly wiped down. My soup spoon was dirty. The waiter was nice enough, but then again it’s hard to mess up service too bad when there is literally one pair of customers in the entire joint. I had the clam chowder, which was pretty good but laughably priced at $ 9 a bowl. My shrimp scampi was fine, but again at $ 19, came with no veggie, no potato, no nothing. just a bowl of pasta. My wife’s bistro chicken did come with potato, but they were cold and the chicken itself was very average. Ambiance is strange. it’s like it doesn’t know what it wants to be. On the surface it feels like it’s supposed to be a classy finer dining establishment, but then you turn around and there are kitchzy frog knick-knacks and random funky paintings that don’t meld with the rest of the décor. I don’t see myself returning to this place anytime soon.

Great dinner! Was here for my Birthday in May. Steaks were really tasty and tender, salads were good, desserts were great… Great wine list to choose from… All in All… good food.

After visiting friends in Cameron Park we were driving around looking for a restaurant to have a steak. Unilocalers seemed to have mixed reviews but we decided to go in anyway. The restaurant interior is warm and inviting, yes a little dark but I find that romantic. I hate sitting in a restaurant where I need my sunglasses on. The waiter came right away, service thru out the meal was attentive. Filets were perfectly cooked, wine by the glass was delicious, romantic setting, attentive service… we had a very pleasant experience and will absolutely go back when in the area.

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner experience here. The environment is comfortable and relaxing. The Chef was extremely helpful in accommodating my vegetarian needs and whipped up something fabulous! Awesome!

We came and tried it, the reviews were good, and it was in the neighborhood, it was delicious! We both had the sizzling filet, and it was one of the best steaks we’ve ever had, we also had the Brie appetizer and it was delicious. Definetely a hidden gem! I’ll definitely be back!!!

My now wife and I were having a wedding at a nearby winery and were looking for a place that could accommodate our semi-large families for our rehearsal dinner. We got in touch with Michelle who was very nice in asking what type of food we were interested in and prepared a menu for people to choose from. There was a Marsala beef bite option with vegetables, a white sauce pasta, and a vegetarian option. All came available with a salad. We arrived and were greeted with smiles and drink orders ready to be taken. Michelle was busy in the kitchen preparing 20+ meals but came out to say hello. The food came out in a timely manner as people arrived and it was all warm and ready for eating. To be honest I was nervous about the Marsala in reading other reviews but it was spectacular! Our family members who ordered it were excessively pleased as were our guests who had the pasta and veggie meals. We hung out for quite some time after the meal and had some drinks from their bar which were all spectacular. They only carry one beer on tap I believe, but we were aware of this as they told us early on if we wanted anything special that they would order it. We didn’t but it was a nice gesture and option. Michelle was very involved with assisting our family and friends and very friendly. She told us that they close at 9pm but would be more than willing to stay open after our wedding the following day and serve as a post party hangout and serve cocktails to any of our guests who came by. Boy did they! Our wedding did not end until 10pm but as we made our short 1 mile trip from our venue to The Snooty Frog, the doors were open and drinks were flowing. Michelle and her husband bartender were there to welcome and congratulate us with smiles. They allowed some of my family to set up bongos and plug in an amp for a guitar and we played some music. There was seating outside to hang out and chat with a drink to those guests we didn’t get to see much of at the actual wedding. It was a magnificent atmosphere and we could not have asked for more. They stayed open well beyond their normal hours(probably until midnight) and not once asked us to leave. They mingled, had friendly conversation, and waited until the last guest(my new bride and I) left with a hug to close their large doors. We could not have asked for any more than The Snooty Frog gave us as they went above and beyond what a small business usually does. They acted more like friends than business owners, and these friends can cook and make a mean Manhattan! Very highly recommend this establishment! We can’t wait to get back and say hello.

Discovered this cute and quaint restaurant while looking for somewhere to happy hour. One of the owners, John, was bar tending which was great. Super nice guy. They have a wonderful atmosphere for couples or small groups. The smells of the kitchen(wife cooks) are lovely, the ambiance is intimate and the food is wonderful. Great experience and will be back!

My wife and I decided to try the Snooty Frog based on some friends suggesting we try it. My wife has to eat gluten free and we were told that the restaurant is starting to prepare gluten free food. They don’t have anything on the menu that shows gluten free but when we told John that my wife needs to eat gluten free he was very helpful and asked Michelle(the chef) to come to our table. She was great and was very accommodating. Many times my wife ends up getting a salad at restaurants because she isn’t conformable with what she will get. Michelle walked her through the ingredients and made her dinner from scratch. She got sea bass with a lemon/caper cream sauce. It was excellent and she woofed it down! I got the sizzling fillet which was cooked perfectly. We ended the evening with coffee and I enjoyed a carmel ice cream cake. While we were having coffee Michelle stopped by to make sure we enjoyed our dinner and was very friendly. We left feeling that we will definitely be coming back with the excellent service and food.

The Snotty Frog. The absolutely worst restaurant that I have ever eaten at. We were the only people there at the dinner hour on a Tuesday. When walking in, my children began to complain of how stinky the place was. A host/bartender/waiter and the«cook» were the only employees there and the food took an HOUR and A HALF before arriving. The appetizer was inedible to even my 8 and 10 year old boys who eat anything. I think the meat had actually gone bad. We each took one bite and left the rest. My steak came with a seafood topping of some sort that LITERALLY made me gag. It also seemed as though it had gone over. I could not eat it even after scraping off the topping. When I told the waiter that I didn’t like it at all, he was surprised as it was one of their popular dishes(YUCK). He offerred to bring me something else which I declined. At this point I didn’t want anymore of their food. The rest of my family’s food was maybe marginal at best and they didn’t finish it. When the waiter brought the check, he offerred us a free dessert which we declined. He actually CHARGED me $ 39.99 for the plate of crap that I didn’t eat. NEVER, NEVERGOTHERE– ABSOLUTLYHORRIBLE! We now call this dump the SNOTTYFROG!

This was the WORST meal I have EVER had in a restaurant! No exaggeration. I, and two others, ordered Chicken Marsala. The flavor and texture of the sauce was terrible! Far from a Marsala sauce. Tasted like it was made with Asian flavorings … soy sauce? And was kind of shiny like it was made with corn starch to thicken. Just HORRIBLE. None of us could eat it. We just ate the bland vegetables and left hungry! Complained to the waiter, who just defended the cook. I’d never go back to this restaurant. Service was very, very SLOW … only ONE waiter for the whole place! VERYBADEXPERIENCE.

Horrendous. Terrible service(over an hour from order to food served). Chicken Marsala that was made with soy sauce instead of Marsala. None of the 3 people who ordered Marsala could eat it — salty glop. Go anywhere else.

Deserted in a theme style shopping center, the Snooty Frog is a nice local establishment which offers finer dining options than the multitude of chain restaurants in a suburban setting.

Service was terrible. Our server never refilled out drinks and was only around to take our order after sitting and waiting for awhile. Then to serve the dinner after sitting again for along time. The food was fair. The lighting was so dark I could’t read the menu. We will never go back again. I was so excited to go here and then very disappointed.
