The best pizza we have tried. We have dined in and we have ordered out and both have seem to be very good, the pasta is just as good as their pizza. Service is prompt and pizzas are usually ready within the timeframe they provide. Watch out for peak periods, as they do get kind of busy. Overall the best pizza in North Orange County

We love this little Italian restaurant. Their«Mild Maggie» Pizza is a family favorite – the sauce on this pie is so amazing! Great antipasto salad, too. They offer great discounts for carry-out or dine-in so be sure to check out the coupons on their website before you order.

Have been coming to Brooklyn pizza for 20 years. it used to be some of the best zah in the OC. I am afraid that time has come and gone. The service is horrible, you have to pay for drink refills, their italian menu is from a bag, from the owners mouth. I ordered the Seafood Alla Roma. One bite and I lost my appetite. In a word, HORRIBLE!!! Their quality and service has consistently continued to suffer. It is not worth the price you pay for the stomach ache you get later. This will be the last time I patronize this establishment. Olive Garden makes better Italian then this place.

We always love the food. However, very disappointed and disturbed last night during dinner to see into the kitchen and discover that one of the cooks did not cover his mid-length hair. His hair seemed to be flopping around as he moved about. Seems like a «hair in the food» just waiting to happen.

This pizza was cooked to perfection. I ordered the white pizza with veggies. I asked them to go easy on the cheese. They took note to my request and went perfectly on the cheese. 10x better than any other pizza restaurant around here.

The place was very nice. The food was amazing! I ordered the lasagna with garlic bread and house salad with creamy garlic dressing. Everything was fantastic, fresh ingredients you could taste. I had been at a nearby restaurant, a few days prior, and smelled the wonderful aroma of herbs coming from somewhere. I looked around and realized it was Brooklyn Pizza Works. I knew I had to go back to try it and I was not disappointed! The food tasted just like the smell. I will definitely be back to try the many items they have on the menu!

Will not come back. There was one table(one!) to look after and that was apparently one too many on this particular day.

I have been going here for about 25 years. It is a small Italian type restraunt. It’s owners are husband and wife, they run the place by themselves other than having cooks in the back. this is their only restraunt. They have won many awards for being the best. I use to order pizza to go for the office when I worked. Then I would go often when not working. I am not a fan of food, I would rather have junk food. However, My mouth water’s for their Pizza called the works, it is wonderful. Many I have visited their with have ordered many of their other Italian dishes, salads, sandwiches, other pizzas, calzones and everyone loves it and goes back after I have taken them here. Sometimes we may wait a little longer, but everything is made from scratch there and made fresh when you order so it is worth a little wait. It is quiet and very relaxing. They have TV’s but keep the volume down so people can enjoy their meal and talk. I have been to places where I have waited 5 times longer, bad service, loud, not friendly. So this place is well worth the extra wait on occasion for fresh made food and friendly service.

Ate here on a Sunday evening. Worst service I’ve ever had. The amazing thing is that it wasn’t even busy. I’m not sure why it took so long to seat us, take our order, bring us drinks and food and have us pay. The food wasn’t even great, just okay. Not worth the aggravation. My pasta dinner came with a salad, which I had to ask for when I got my dinner and no salad. The bread looked like a hoagie roll that was sliced and warmed. My boys said that Porky’s pizza was better than the pepperoni pizza they ordered here. The bill came and stood there waiting to pay. I had to ask someone to let me pay so I could leave. I will NEVER come back!

AMAZING!!! My fiancé is from New York and this is the first she has found that comes close to it. Do not listen to the negative reviews under. Owner is from the east coast and Italian. They know what they are doing. The cheese pizza was great and we had a pineapple pepperoni one as well. Great. Will come back when in town.

Brooklyn it’s not. Having been to some great pizza joints in Brooklyn over the years — this is only 3 star pizza. But we’re not in Brooklyn, so I’ll give it a 4th star just for saving me the 3,000 mile airfare. Once again(I should just copy and paste from all my other pizza reviews) it’s the crust that is a let down. In your best NY pizzerias, the crust isn’t merely something that holds up the pizza toppings. It’s a major ingredient with a tasty flavor on it’s own that should be on par with some of the best fresh baked bread you’ll ever have. Los Angeles/SoCal pizza spots have never figured out the crust thing(or very few have). It’s perhaps the water they use, although most use bottled water from NY. It’s perhaps the ovens aren’t allowed to be charcoal and brick ovens, although I’ve had gas oven made pizza in NY and it still tastes better than most SoCal pizza. My biggest issue with Brooklyn Pizza Work’s crust was the texture. It was cracker thin and tough, but also lacking in flavor. I’d describe it as cardboard like. Now if that’s harsh, it’s because all of the other ingredients were pretty darn good. I loved their pizza sauce, a wonderful balance of tomatoes and zesty herbs to create a bold thick sauce. Cheese was good quality and well melted under the weight of some serious quantity of toppings. They aren’t skimpy with them that’s for sure. We got half of a works pie and half pepperoni and mushroom. My only complaint was that the green peppers were cut on the thick side, so they didn’t cook on the pie and were crunchy. We also tried some cheese covered garlic bread and a large house salad. Good call putting pepperoni on top of the salad. If everyone did that, we’d always eat our leafy greens as Mom’s taught us to. The cheese covered garlic bread was just ok and a very small half loaf. But it’s also only a couple of bucks, so perhaps I should have ordered a couple of them, so we didn’t have to fight over the 4 cheesy pieces. For some reason, I find Brooklyn Pizza Works never stays in my mind very long. I’ve been here at least 3 or 4 times, but never written it up. It wasn’t until my Unilocal bud Chris D. wrote it up that I thought… hmm why have I not returned and why can’t I remember anything about it? I don’t even live that far away from it, so I’m not sure why it’s not on my radar. I do like the old school vibe in here and can tell it’s been family run for a long time. I doubt the décor has changed much if any during that time. Perhaps I need to go back and try some Italian dishes, since I liked their pizza sauce so much. Next up… review #400 Where will Dave G. end up for this epic event… Stay tuned…

Really!!! My husband is from the east coast born and raised… and the Greasy East Coast Pizza is not reflective of east coast pizza at all!!! We came here thinking I would be able to feed my home sick husband something«east-coasty» but the pizza along with the enire meal was was a major disappointment. 1) East Coast Pizza The East Coast pizza is nothing more than just regular cheese pizza. Nothing what we would find in the streets of NYC. We asked for jalapenos but the pizza came out without. Normally when you add jalapenos its melted into the cheese. They just threw them on after the fact. 2) Fried Pepperoni We also got the fried pepperoni appetizer because the waitress was ranting and raving about it. But unless you like the taste of burnt overall salty pepperoni this thing tastes like something you would feed a dog. 3) Pasta Soup My husband and I also being fans of soup wanted to try out the pasta soup. Again disappointed. Watery with no taste. Tasted like it was straight out of a campbells soup can. We will NEVER come back here again. Completely disappointed! You will have better luck with Olive Garden if you want Italian.

My wife’s sewing machine repair shop moved from a mile to our house to Placentia. It was dinner time and I asked Steve from the shop where we should eat so he recommended Brooklyn Pizza Works which is two doors down. Excellent recommendation. By the name I was expecting a tiny pizza parlor but this is a decent sized restaurant with booths and tables serving pizza, calzones, pasta, and Italian entrees such as chicken parmesan. My wife and I ordered a medium pizza with pepperoni, jalapeños, and garlic herb crust. The medium pizza was pretty large and could easily feed three people with normal appetites but for us it was perfect for two. Everything here is made from scratch and it shows. Delicious flavorful pizza sauce, one of the best I’ve had. The pizza was loaded with high quality cheese and pepperoni but it was really skimpy on the jalapeños and they were not distributed very evenly. That’s my only complaint. The pizza tasted excellent and the service was great. I’ll definitely eat here again when my wife needs to get her sewing machine worked on again!

If you like hot fresh authentic Italian food made by someone who cares, this is for you. Eating here is like eating at you Italian friend’s house. My husband is one of the most picky people I know. He had the meat ball and sausage sandwich and said it was the best he’s ever had! Handmade meatballs not the frozen ones that you get from most places. I had the Chicken Parmesan with spaghetti and it was also made with a real children breast, not the processed chicken patty. It was cooked perfect. This will no doubt be a regular stop for us.

If I could rate it with no stars I would. The people at this establishment were nice but the quality of the food was below par. We ended up dumping this pizza and ordering from Porky’s Pizza across the street.

Pizza is their specialty not Italian dinner cuisine. Had a seafood dish; it was salty, small seafood pieces, fake crab. Not my fav. The Chardonnay wine was excellent for $ 4.95 and tasted good. My fiancé had melted spamone & was told thats how it is. :/go figure. Salad was good and the pizzas going by us looked great… probably worth a try. Tried a 2nd dish meat marinara pasta; that was good. So stay away from seafood dishes. Meat pastas and pizza seem okay. If you want cold frozen ice cream; try thrity’s. And its only 8 oclock and they were cleaning with ammonia. Not my favorite idea over dinner.
