I may have found my local go-to Mexican place. You judge a Mexican restaurant by how they cook their Mexican rice. This place has great Mexican rice. It’s fluffy, and super flavorful. The refried beans was also really good, so smooth. I had a carne asada taco. The meat is nicely charred, and the tortilla are thick, so I couldn’t really taste the flavor of the meat. The carnitas plate was great too. It was great value and the carnitas has a nice charr too. It’s kind of weird that they add lettuce on the taco. I wonder if the is place caters?

Third time here. Had the chicken soup. This sounds weird but I find it hard to get a chicken soup where the broth is great. They have tasty chicken broth here as the base. The chicken was fine. Loved the string beans and cabbage in the soup as well as the chopped onions and cilantro condiments to add. One of the better chicken soups I’ve had. Chicken enchiladas with the verde sauce was the star. The green sauce left a mild burn on my lips. Perfect amount of spice. Very flavorful Re fried beans had a perfect texture and flavor .one of the best I’ve had. Rice was good. Ive tried to find a great tamal no luck here. Average at best. Very willing to substitute and not charge excessive prices to do that. Fish tacos were very good. Not too greasy. Tortillas were a nice texture and flavor. Service for me was consistent both times except like Mexico in that they take forever at the end to bring you the bill.

Most satisfying burrito experience! 4+ stars. It has been a long time since I ate at the perfect taqueria with just simple, no frill Mexican tacos and burritos that is not overly greasy. Had a carnitas burrito with avocado. Comes with lettuce, cheese, pinto beans and rice wrapped in a warm grilled tortilla. Add some heat to it with the red salsa. Good amount of meat without being too much or too greasy. The horchata was ice cold with a bite of cinnamon. Very refreshing. Restaurant prices for taqueria food but so far this has been my favorite burrito experience in OC.

LOVETHISPLACE! Carnitas tacos are the best. Service is always fast and although waitress are not the«talkative» type, they are very friendly. Never experience a bad meal here no matter if it was breakfast, lunch or dinner. Prices are good too.

late review: went Fri. 12÷11÷15. happen to be in the area and had decent Unilocal reviews. First impression: We were greeted with Chips and salsa and the chips didn’t have that fresh crunch. I almost left.(lost a star for this) So glad I waited it out. I ordered the chile relleno«Gordita». This is seriously the best thing I have ever had! A fresh corn«tortilla» which is grilled/fried and filled with a chile relleno and beans, sour cream. I am almost never in that area, but I can’t wait to go back! this dish is worth 5 stars in my book. My friend had the taquitos. He loved them. My personal preference is a little crunchier, but the beef was so flavorful — it almost made up for the lack of crunch.

What a great find. It deserves its 4+ rating. Mexican food cooked fresh with family recipes. We had the chilaquiles with eggs over easy and the chorizo burrito. The chilaquiles were made with real fried tortilla(vs thin tortilla chips). The red sauce leaves a good residual heat in your mouth. Refined beans taste like they were just made in my abuela’s kitchen. The chorizo burrito had the right mix of meat, eggs and beans. So fantastic. I will find my way here again.

Passed this place a million times, and saw 4 star rating on Unilocal so had to check it out. It’s not Farolito’s, but pretty good, we’ll definitely go back. Several booths and tables, can order to go or dine-in. I noticed a lot of phone orders while we were there. Two adult plates and one kid’s meal was under $ 30, they even serve beer. Husband really liked the lengua tacos and carne asada gordita and I had a shredded beef wet burrito. It was a bit spicy, but very tasty and pretty big, ‘big burrito’ must try if you want Mexican food in Yorba Linda!

Nice family restaurant, simple Mexican menu with good flavor. I had a cup of their chicken soup and two chicken taquitos. I loved the soup, big pieces of vegetables and a single large piece of chicken. The chicken taquitos, were fine. They came with guacamole and shredded lettuce. They were on the soft side, I tend to like the crispy one. The place was very busy with a large cinco de mayo crowd, but the food was served very quickly. I’ve been here 3 previous times and the staff are always cordial and attentive. BTW, chips and salsa were great, salsa had just perfect amount of «heat» for my taste. With soda the bill was a little over $ 10, very well worth it. Enjoy!

My boyfriend and I tried this restaurant because after work because it was on the way home and looked authentic. We ordered a carne asada wet burrito, aguacate taco, carne asada enchilada, and chile relleno. The burrito was the best item, followed by the enchilada. The aguacate taco was good except some of the avocado was browned. The chile relleno was good except it could have been cooked longer to become more tender and some of the oil could have been drained to make it less greasy like some restaurants do. The servers were very friendly and brought salsa and two kinds of hot sauce, all of which were delicious. The seat was dirty so I had to wipe it off myself before sitting down. All in all decent restaurant, however there are several areas for improvement.

Recommended by a friend and didn’t let me down. Typical hole in the wall that you look for near home. Not cramped or musty or hot or dark. Bright roomy and clean inside. There were a few things I wanted to try but went with three tacos(alpastor, carne asada and chicken). Carne asada wasn’t the best I ever had but not bad, the chicken was better but the alpastor was great! Very quick and friendly service. Decent price would definitely come back again. Considering in and out of there quick and easy.

I came here twice in a week the first time I had lunch here. I can’t believe this little gem is hidden in Brea and I’ve never heard of it till recently! I usually get the burrito plate and I get a carne asada burrito with chili relleno in it too. +Horchata is great! +Fast service(sometimes) +One of the best burritos I’ve ever had +Great tacos +Price +Parking +Seating +Free chips and awesome salsa –Ceviche is kinda of watery –There is one very bad waitress that works here, always gets my order wrong –Didn’t refill our water at all This place is awesome! Almost a five star rating for me except for those little things that bothered me. This place really does have great food and I will be returning for lunch more often!

It was tuesday so i figured i’d have some mexican food for dinner! I walked in to this restaurant, and was not greeted by anyone, had to go towards the waitress that was working and had to ask for a menu. She insisted and apologized for the wait. Then i proceeded to order a togo. She helped me right away. I was just craving tacos so i came here but when i brought the food home it was surprisingly good. I enjoyed my dinner, and was satisfied. Prices were reasonable and i would come back to get some fresh tacos. Not a fan of their service though.

Absolutely LOVE this place. I order breakfast and lunch to go for me and my boss every now and then. and it definitely hits the spot. The breakfast burrito is amazing. I wish they opened earlier so I could stop by before I start work but that’s okay, we order on the phone and pick it up. I also tried their garlic shrimp plate and I must say… it was amazing. I will definitely order that again. I usually just order burritos or tacos and I tell them what I want inside. It’s usually busy so I always phone ahead and pick up. Their service is great though, smiles and greetings as soon as I walk through the door. I’ve noticed they’re very attentive with their customers, always checking on them… I noticed as I was waiting for my order. Great place, 5 stars!

Looks like I found a new hot spot for a mexican food fix. The prices are quite gracious, and for the quality of food you really can’t go wrong. Not only is a food and the prices good, I have to credit them for their exceptional salsa. The salsa is very hot! And I’m the kind of person that can handle spicy, but never fear if you want a taste of something with a lot less fire then try the green salsa. Everything here is cooked wonderfully, I recommend the combo plate in which you’ll get more bang for your buck and you get a taste of a couple of items. The carne asada taco was my favorite. The tamale felt a little small, but I can’t complain too much. Overall a great diner experience.
