I switched to this pharmacy because my old pharmacy, giant eagle McIntyre, was always very busy and I figured this pharmacy might fill prescriptions faster. Boy was I wrong! Whether I go through the drive-through, or wait in the store, it takes me three times longer to drop off or pick up my medicines. Recently after pulling up to the drive-through to pick up medications, I waited almost 15 minutes as someone went to find my medication. I finally ended up driving away because it was taking so long and no one came back to the window. I am not exactly sure why it takes so long at this pharmacy, but they need to figure out why because they are losing customers. Today I went back to giant eagle pharmacy.

Some info for fellow ExtraBucks junkies. Be careful. I’ve learned that during transactions for which you have numerous various coupons to use in conjunction with ExtraBucks, the cash register or cashier – haven’t yet been able to determine the culprit – sometimes applies the ExtraBucks before all coupons have been applied. I’ve been burned for $ 3 here, $ 7.50 there; it adds up. For moving forward I have vowed not to hand over my ExtraBucks(essentially the equivalent of cash) until I’m certain all coupons have been applied, even at risk of eye rolls from a certain usually-not-pleasant manager! Happy savings…

My experience here is one of the most quite memorable CVS could possibly offer. I stopped one afternoon for tampons. When it was my turn in line the older gentleman with glasses made a joke about what I was purchasing. I chuckled simply because in the 20 some years I have been purchasing this product, not once did my cashier decide to take a comedic turn at incorporating this product into a joke. The joke does not need repeated, but I will mention he did ask if I needed batteries. I am sure you can figure that one out. Would I go back here? Sure. It’s a neighborhood drug store that is close to my work. I would only stay away if you are purchasing something that could be quite embarrassing once the older cashier gets a hold of it.

New CVS located at the corner of McKnight Road and Duncan Avenue. Typical CVS/drugstore offerings in a clean and welcoming setting. The staff is friendly and the parking lot is large. Good addition to the other businesses popping up in this area.
