Marias Old Town 21

I gave this place a one star because you don’t have anything lower. The server JEFF was great, very attentive, and very energetic. Unfortunately that is where the good experience stopped. We ordered a sample app and that was fair, except I expected more than frozen foods that were heated up. The salad we both had was fair but again nothing over the top. The salad plates looked old and worn. My wife had the eggplant parm with spaghetti and I had the lasagna. My sauce looked brown and the grease was floating on top, and the pastas was pasty like it had been frozen. It’s my guess they did not even use fresh made mozzarella. We both expected the food to be fresh and not frozen. We kept looking around for chef Ramsey to pop out yelling «Shut the kitchen down». At no point did a manager come out after telling our server the experience was less than satisfactory. This is one place I will never return to.

Really neat place to visit, a must to see if your passing through. The food is very authentic, and the service is great! I’d bring anybody here that is visiting the area!

Went there for a luncheon and didn’t get to eat the pizza I ordered. Cute spot. Would love to see it at night. It received 3stars because it was really good!

Fred is awesome sauce! And the food is pretty good. Had me some foccacia, and the draft beers are cheap!

The food is delicious!!! The portions are just right. The pizza is thin crust old world Italian! The eggplant parmigiana was perfectly cooked. The waitstaff was very attentive and took very good care of us. Can’t wait to go back!

I ordered the lasagna. The lasagna was horrible. It was topped with what appeared to be white American cheese. The meet and sauce were very bland. I will not be returning.

Fun place with a great staff. Very spacious and perfect for large groups
Bruschetta was average. Not bad but not amazing either.
Dirty martini wasn’t dirty.

Love It! This is not a place you go to if you are in a hurry. First get a glass of wine and relax. Then ponder over the elaborate menu which will have you completely stumped over which delightful dish to order. Sit back enjoy the ambience and incredible authentic Italian dishes.

I love this place because the atmosphere is amazing. The servers are so accommodating and awesome and the owners remember who their regular customers are. Great little Italian place with the BEST pizza I’ve ever had, hands down!!! I will miss this place!!!

This place has the slowest service I’ve ever had. I literally it’s ordered a drink and it took them 20 minutes to bring it for me. Terrible service. I hate this place!!!

Date night with my husband — and I had looked forward to Maria’s lasagna all day. This entrée did not disappoint however there was very little lettuce in the salad and stale croutons. And there was a small bug in my drink. I hope this was just an off night!

This is a diamond in the rough. Never expected to find such a great Italian restaurant in Petersburg.

This is a fantastic date night destination! What a gorgeous gem right in the heart of Petersburg!
Service was fabulous and the pizza was one of the best I’ve ever had. Hubby’s half had pepperoni, Italian sausage and spinach. I chose bacon, pineapple and spinach for mine. Yum! Can’t wait to head back and try other menu options.

Best restatement Petersburg has to offer. Hands down. Full disclosure, I’m addicted to Italian food. If you want something out of this world amazing, try the pesto burger. You won’t be disappointed.
