Not sure why the ratings are so low on this place. I’ve had nothing but good experiences here. Cute shop, competent stylists, great location. The prices are reasonable, and once you have your first cut, they give you awesome coupons for future services.

I won’t go here again. The girl who did my pedicure told me she didn’t have a license yet but I was still charged $ 40 for the pedi. It wasn’t terrible but it was totally overpriced, I’ve had better pedis at a nail salon for half the cost.
I agree with another review — it’s a hair salon that offers some spa services. They should rename this place, it is misleading to call it a spa retreat.

What an awful and dirty place. Went here because I received a gift certificate for my birthday. The 60 minute massage was ok. The pedicure and manicure was awful, sloppy, paint chipped after leaving, and she painted half my toes. They don’t even soak your feet properly. Will never recommend this place or buy a gift certificate. The nail technician had to been someone they pulled off the street. What a waste of hard earn money. Will give my money to the Natural Nail Clinic in Midlothian or Elegant or Classy Nails on Route 10. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY GOING TO THIS DUMP!!!

Definately a gem in Old Town Petersburg. Full services salon and spa which is hard to find in a smaller city. The part of town it is in is very charming and safe. They have plenty of parking available. The service providers are professional and friendly. I see Trisha for massages regularly. She specializes in deep tissue and does a great job. I have had my hair done and never been disappointed!

The worst place for a wax in the area. I’ve been trying to find a place to get my waxing done since my favorite place in Richmond closed. This place is awful. I sat for over half an hour waiting past my appointment time. Then was lead to a closet under the stairs. I had to point out spots the waxer missed. She got wax everywhere and handed me some lotion that didnt get the wax off. She proceeded to tell me to go home and let conditioner sit on me for 5 minutes to get the remaining wax off. Add in the fact that I paid $ 75 for a crap job, I was super pissed. Moral of this review… find another place to go if you want a good wax.

This place used to be «The» spa in our area, but it has gone downhill over the years. Now it’s more of a hair salon that offeres spa services, which I hate to see. Needs lots of deep cleaning & updating. I got a massage and a pedicure, I wasn’t impressed with either. I won’t be going back.

This is more of a hair salon than spa. I walked in and the a girl was at front desk she didn’t acknowledge me and stayed on her call. Someone walked up and helped me, took me to the back for my massage. While in waiting area I noticed how out of date the place is.
The whole «spa» area needs some updating. The bathroom could use some work too, stains on shower curtain in bathroom and not to mention the pest control trap behind the toilet. :/​
The décor needs to be revamped and there needs to be better sound control to the spa area. During my massage it was very loud, I heard laughing women and hair dryers even over the music playing in the room. I would suggest a white noise machine in the treatment rooms or at least in the hallway.
My massage was good enough, but I wasn’t impressed with the place. It needs a better spa vibe. When you spend money like that there needs to be a sense of relaxation that goes along with it. Which would include your environment.

The 3-​star summary says it well: this place is okay. I give it 3 stars instead of 2 for being in Petersburg, and because my esthetician was very friendly.
Walking in the entire space is very open, it’s a loft style with a well-​handled mix of country and modern touches.
Receptionists were polite enough but not great. The waiting area had coffee, tea, and cookies but only 2 magazines. One of the chairs had what looked like wet dye or lotion spilled underneath it.
I was taken late despite arriving early for my appointment. The pedicure was nice, the manicure less impressive. One of the two colors I wanted to see couldn’t be opened at all. 5 of my nails developed bubbles in the color. While I was getting a manicure I got to watch one of the stylists repeatedly pull up on the back of her pants (that were getting caught under her sneakers) then go back to styling hair…
