Love this place! I always find SOMETHING… lately I’ve been loving their art supplies.

Havent been into this store since it was in the outlets. I was pleasantly surprised, it was a lot nicer then it had been. It looked more like a home goods type store. Merchandised nicer then the outlet store they previously had. I didnt buy anything today but will check back often for treasures :)

Okay, I am a gal that loves to hunt for a bargain while also looking for those odd, quirky additions to decorate my house with. I come here for both. I wouldn’t rush shopping through here. Give yourself time, look at the clearance, and look thoroughly through the aisles. I found today an adorable tree skirt on super clearance from 30 bucks down to 2.50. I also picked up an iron skillet for $ 14 and cute cloth napkins for $ 2 for each set of four. Adding some garden tools, a garden gnome statue, and a peacock wind chime and I walked out spending under $ 40 for some great deals. I spent an hour during the exploration and felt it was justified. Also, my cashier was very pleasant and wrapped my delicates in paper thoroughly without being asked. Like other visits before, this was a fun experience.

Tuesday Morning moved out of the outlets an when it did it got a major upgrade and make over. This one is great. It’s clean, they have darn near everything you could hope for. The sewing setion is large. The homewares are nicely displayed, and you can get things super cheap. Huge furniture section, and large seasonal section of merchandise. Decent amount of pillows and bedding too. Great prices. Lots of fun stuff. Sometimes I come here to buy things I didn’t even know I needed!

DONOT purchase LUGGAGE at Tuesday Morning. Their return policy is 45 days and unfortunately my luggage did not fall apart in 45 days but in 5 months. I used it twice in five months. It was not damaged by the airlines — the handle and the feet broke off at the hotel. They will not address the issue that the luggage is junk nor will they consider a credit or refund. I took the receipt in with me to prove I bought it there. Chuck, the manager, was contacted by the store employee but he did nothing to help me. Go to Costco where you pay less and they stand behind their products for 2 years. Tuesday Morning is just willing to sell you crap. I will not be spending my hard earned money anywhere near a Tuesday Morning anymore.

In my tours of Bay Area Tuesday Mornings, this one might be my favorite, though San Rafael comes close. This one has a LOT of stuff, they’re open really late, and the staff was downright cheerful, which is actually peculiar when you’re coming in 20 minutes before closing. I cleaned out on of their paper eating-ware patterns, some of their electronics, and got a nice big planter pot for $ 19. It’s in the outlet mall, which is a plus or a minus. For me it’s usually a minus because getting in and out of the lot is annoying, but when I was there, at 8:40 pm, the parking was ample and easy.

Imagine a universe in which all the things that are gaudy and cheap(read that to mean imported from China) are shoved into a store that smells slightly of mold and mothballs.

So I’m getting the feeling after a couple purchases here that the reason they have discounts is the same reason Ross or Marshall’s has discounted name-brand clothing: faulty manufacturing! My husband’s iphone case(that expensive life one that keeps water out?) got scratched at Knott’s Scary Farm and he wanted to replace it. He decided this the night of his high school reunion so we ran over to TM in Petaluma. I like these stores — this one was much like the one in downtown WC. He found an Otter Case for around $ 30 which he said was a good deal. Until we got home and put it on the phone. The plastic cover for the front of the phone’s screen had a sticker on it that we couldn’t get off! What the what!!! So he doesn’t have that on his phone, which I think is stupid. Seriously, google the video for the importance of a screen protector on an iPhone. There’s an amazing video somewhere! Anyhow, the case had a small glitch in it also but it didn’t bother him(it doesn’t sit flush on the screen in one spot). So perhaps this is the reason for the«good deal» on the case. I think he should switch back to a Droid — maybe when his lack of screen protector breaks his phone he will! Otherwise, the store is cool, the employees here were friendly and helpful.

I love Tuesday Morning. We’d been to this one a year or so ago when we had gone to Petaluma for lunch w/Nina and Larry and I didn’t buy anything. Today it was just Alan and me and I could spend more time. I stocked up on bubble bath and bath salts. I cruised the housewares as I always do and checked out the paper plates, napkins and guest towels, but found nothing compelling. The selection of sheet sets was less robust than at the Medford store, which was surprising. This is a large, bright store w/walls of windows on at least two sides. It’s definitely worth a stop when we’re in Petaluma or passing by.

They closed at 9PM last night… I was there until like 8:30PM torn out of my mind trying to decide whether to splurge on discounted Tramontina… yes folks, this location store on the edge of the Premium Outlets does stock Tramontina. After I recovered from the giddiness, I just stood there and didn’t know how to make the decision… Whole sauté pans, quality saucepans… gulp. (didn’t end up going for them, but did leave with a Coach purse in tow) The inventory over all is a hit-or-miss game, as are all TM stores. This one, however, had some quite unique Kuhn Rikon Swiss items, and other higher end items(Denby)…one’s gotta dig and have a sharp eye to catch the yuck from the diamonds in the heap. Store is not too dusty, and item placement was, for the most part, very orderly. ‘Tis the way for the bargain hunter.
