The service, the accommodation, the food and(complimentary bottle of Grenache) wine were fantastic! This Inn is definitely on the level of a charming and luxurious mini hotel so we enjoyed it quite a bit! We would definitely make it our home away from home if it wasn’t so far from Los Angeles but we’re hoping to come back again anyway. Highly recommended! (the only minor thing that was a little bothersome was the stomping noise coming from the room directly upstairs so try if you can, get a room on the top floor)

Went here on a Living Social promo. We stayed at the house, and absolutely fell in love. It’s so quaint, charming, and comfortable and The service was impeccable. Monica is a doll. Wine and snacks at night, and breakfast in the morning. All delicious! We checked in, and then made it across the street before they closed for some yummy wine tasting — which was complimentary since we were staying at the house. My husband and I loved their wine so much we joined the wine club. EXCELLENT wine! EXCELLENT service. Can’t wait to go back!

5 stars for the lovely Lindsay who was our wine tasting pourer. What a lovely young lady. Very sweet and directed us through the wine list very well. The wine was delicious and we ended up buying a couple. The tasting room is beautiful and they have lovely gifts too. I would highly suggest this wonderful winery.

This is clearly different from wineries we have visited in the past. New wineries look new. This winery looks like it has been here for many years. We had a lovely tasting out on the patio. Our favorite wine is the Grenache. SummerWood features Rhone and Bourdaux wines. They also offer cooking classes, picnic lunches, and accommodations in a nine room inn. Open Thursday through Monday 11:00 — 5:00

The Inn is divine! I love this place. The rooms are huge, and the décor is fabulous. Located on the vineyard, there’s not a bad view in the place. Friendly service, good food, nice(not fantastic – but don’t care) wine all make for a wonderful getaway experience. I’ll come back again and again to this gem.

We had such a great trip at the Summerwood Inn. The staff at both the Inn and tasting room were so accommodating and friendly. The grounds are gorgeous and the rooms are clean, beautifully decorated, and have great beds! The extra touches like the appetizers, desert, delicious breakfast, and complimentary wine made us feel so well taken care of and a little spoiled. There are only 9 rooms so it never feels crowded. If you are looking to relax in wine country the Summerwood Inn is quite the unexpected treat. Join the wine club for 20% off your stay! I was a little sad that they forgot to put our homemade caramels in the room but I still wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

The Inn I’ve never stayed at inn this small in scale so I was hesitant to book, but I’m so glad we did. This place is amazing! The grounds are beautiful and the interior of the inn is newly renovated with modern furnishings. What made our visit here so wonderful was the innkeepers. They were super nice and helpful. We were visiting with our two small children and Monica, the inn keeper our first night was so awesome! She was so sweet and totally went out of her way to make our stay at the inn memorable for not only myself and my husband, but our two daughters. Our girls absolutely loved Monica and the special attention she gave to make them to feel like VIP guests. The made to order breakfast was delicious as well as the afternoon appetizers, desserts and caramels! At check in, they even provide a complementary bottle their estate wine! Everything about this place was just lovely. We can’t wait to go back again. The Winery The wine here is pretty darn good. I’m a big red wine fan and this place did not disappoint. We arrived towards the end of the day and they only offered their standard wines for tasting, but we got lucky as there was another guest tasting that happened to be a wine member and we got to try their Sentio and Mourvedre. Both my husband and I were pleasantly surprised and in short we joined the wine club and took home 6 bottles. As an added bonus, we got 20% off our purchased wine plus 20% off our stay at the inn. It’s a win-win!

Wow! Loved staying here! The staff is amazing! Tia was friendly, welcoming, accommodating, helpful, and WONDERFUL! The food was delicious and Chef Kelly cooked from her heart, which made meals all the better. Judy’s smile and service always made breakfast something to look forward to. The grounds are not only beautiful but peaceful. Can’t wait to take another relaxing weekend come the fall.

Employees were great about allowing us to sample at no cost before deciding which wine we wanted to drink for the afternoon. Beautiful scenery, great ambiance, and delicious wine. I look forward to returning. There were some people on the back patio having hors d’oeuvres, which seemed like a great way to go… wish I had thought of it.

My favorite place to stay after a long weekend of amazing, top-end accommodation. What made this place head and shoulders above the rest? The clean, modern décor and the friendly reception. I loved how serene our room was, how open and airy the reception area was, too. Wine and apps when we arrived, brownies and tea/cocoa for a nightcap, and a gorgeous breakfast cooked fresh for us… as if these weren’t enough, there’s a complimentary wine tasting across the street. We played cornhole there, and enjoyed the sunny afternoon. Bliss!

AMAZING! A must visit if you’re here! The 13 Viognier was my favorite white. They were out of the 11 cab so let us sample the 06 and 11 reserves, amazing! We bought a bottle of the Viognier and 11 cab reserve. The service was impeccable and the outside patio area was beautiful. We ended up staying and drinking a bottle and eating some food we brought on the patio. Will definitely be back! The 13 Grenache blanc was also a favorite

I went here from a friend’s recommendation. Our group of four struggled through an hour through a shared tasting. The crowd was overwhelmingly 35ish females with a cacophonous din to equal the New York subway at rush hour — this is not the fault of the winery, of course– im just trying to set the atmosphere. Our server seems a bit overwhelmed by both the noise and the demands. After abut an hour by he clock, we all decided to cut our loses and leave. Mental note: always look for a tour bus when stopping at any of the tasting rooms. The 3 stars are for a prolonged mediocre experience, just ok wine and a rather forgettable experience overall. With 300+ wineries, there may be better choices for some ;)

Beautiful winery, the wine was very good, but the attendant was a college student. She had some knowledge but wasn’t up for sharing. She sipped a glass of wine while we tasted and stayed close to us, so if we wanted to have a private conversation it was a little odd. Not sure if we will come back…

We stayed at Summerwood Inn and enjoyed their lovely wine & purchased 3 bottles. The inn is walking distance to another favorite Peachy Canyon and down the road from Kenneth Volk and 4 Lanterns all great. The Inn is newly redone in a beautiful restoration hardware style. The rooms are spotless and most offer a nice balcony to enjoy. The breakfast was out of this world. The grounds are also lovely and well maintained with the vineyards all around the property. Unfortunately we missed most of the afternoon and dessert activities as we were out and about. Would definitely love to stay here again!

An Inn experience doesn’t get any better than a stay at Summerwood Inn. The staff and service– the best; The comfort and ease of the Inn– the best; The awesome yet tranquil yet gorgeous setting– the best; Consider yourself lucky/fortunate to be able to book a room at Summerwood.

This was our second stop on day 1 and we met a friendly attendant that gave us a heads up on a few nearby wineries, got us a map and circled them. Much appreciated! Their wines themselves were very good and we walked away with a bottle of Grenache Blanc which I’ve never heard of till coming to Paso and I love it! Pay them a visit, you’ll be happy!

The staff in the tasting room acted like they couldn’t be bothered by our presence and were flat out rude at times. Our pourer started to serve wine out of order and said, «Oh, the Zin is like the Granache so it doesn’t matter that I serve them out of order.» Seriously?! I don’t think she wanted to walk the 15 feet to grab the right bottle, and when I asked her to, she seemed SO put out. The wines were OK, but to be honest, when staff say they can’t wait to close(and it’s an hour before closing time), I don’t think their priority is to make our experience the best possible. Suddenly, all the wines tasted as sour as their attitude.

SummerWood provided a fantastic start to our day and to our entire anniversary weekend in the area. My honey picked out this location and, like we usually do when wine tasting, we relied on our first stop to provide recommendations for other wineries to check out. The person who poured for us happily pointed us in the direction of the wines that we would enjoy. He also gladly highlighted a bunch of other wineries on a map for us and shared notes from his experiences. We utilized that for other places we stopped that day and thoroughly enjoyed all of them. We bought two bottles from SummerWood, which waived our $ 10/each tasting fees. In addition to nice wines, they also have a nice, comfortable tasting room. I especially liked the views into the barrel room.

Really nice tasting room. They have 12 wines to taste. It is $ 5 to taste 5 wines. They were really nice and with 2 tasting let us try all of them — benefits of coming in on a slow day. I am usually a huge fan of blends, but I wasnt crazy about their Vin Rouge or their Sentio — which they are known for. They have a great selection of whites — 4 on the tasting menu. Our fave was the grenache blanc the rest were just a little too sweet for our liking, but still really good! Their cab is great too, and my boyfriend is usually not a fan of cab’s at all. Syrah and Zin are great also! The tasting room is just pleasant to walk around as well, they sell lots of goodies and nick nacks to keep you busy while drinking your wine. Who doesn’t like to buy more stuff they dont need?

Love this winery! The wines are all delicious, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable(cute, blonde pourer, you know who you are), and has a great ambiance. There is also a lovely outdoor seating area where you can peacefully sip on your Diosa. I definitely recommend this place as a last stop to a long day of wine tasting to sit back, relax, and enjoy.
