I am a new fan of Spanish varietals and this winery is a wonderful way to introduce rhone wines. This winemaker is skilled in his blends and will not disappoint. My favorite is the Garanacha, any year. Be sure to stop in!

Wine aficionados, take heart that there is a bold new taste in Paso Robles and it is for those who cannot tolerate the neutered, emasculated genre of supermarket wines that attempt to appeal to the mass market. You have a new champion in Bodegas de Edgar. Bold, assertive white varietals demanding attention along with spicy, peppery reds made in the style of their country of origin, not bastardized for the bland American palate. Reds flowing with Grenacha, Mourvedre, Tempranillo and other classic old world varietals. Take a walk on the wild side. Dare to take the path less travelled. Find your place in a new found emergence of solid wines made for the mature palate. Novices need not apply. Located at the Villicava exit off Adelaida road. Upstairs — not much signage. Good luck adventurer.
