Super chill spot to catch the game! Went here with a group of friends to watch the NFL divisional championships. The place was pretty packed, but we were able to get a table. They had a projector set up at the front showing the big game. There are also multiple TVs above the bar showing different sporting events. The wait staff was absolutely amazing. I don’t think I have had this good of service at any restaurant I have been to, yet alone a bar! Michelle would check on us consistently to see if we needed another beer or more food. She was really sweet and kind, and it wasn’t only cause her Broncos were winning.

Simple, chill spot to grab a couple beers with the boys after work. The selection isn’t the best(and I swear the beers just seem slightly on the warm side, always), the scene isn’t the best, the food kinda sucks. But it’s super laid back and pretense-free. If that’s your kinda spot, great. If not, you’re better off heading into the Old Town hustle & bustle.

They had some amazing food. The pulled pork fries were amazing. It had a funny name I can’t remember. I also loved how the mozzarella sticks were cooked. They have a good tap selection. I liked it’s variety. Something for everyone. Be sure to check out upstairs. The loft area is great for people watching and playing games. To top the list of positives of this place is how on it our bartender was. He was quick and super nice. It’s always a pleasure to get awesome service.

A pretty solid neighborhood sports bar. The food is typical bar food and I find sticking with the classics, like chicken fingers or the quesadilla, is a safer bet. They have an okay selection of beers. There are plenty of screens to watch your favorite sporting event and shuffle board tables upstairs to keep you entertained. Tuesday night is trivia night, which is a lot of fun and why we end up here so regularly. If you need a casual bar to chill out with friends, T. Boyles is a great option.

I didn’t eat here so it’s not fair to give it a score i only came here to play pool … After eating at Malbec a block away. So I’ll give it 4 stars since 5 would be unfair. Pool tables need chalk for the hands and a board to write on. The restrooms were nice and clean, Bartendar was friendly and attentive. Lots of TVs everywhere. Smells like smoke in here parking is frustrating. Can be hard to find this place if u don’t where it is.

Nice venue. Decent service. Clean. Could stand to be a little friendlier. Went for a rock show found the place to be a decent beer and wine venue. Nothing exceptional but didn’t find and major faults with it across the board.

Hung out here on a Sunday night to catch some football. Cool atmosphere, friendly staff, fun games and fair prices on beer. Great place to hang out with friends and catch a game. I hear there are bands here as well, I will def come back.

We had a couple of fantastic burgers and great beers from a very solid draft list. They have a good number of games and were showing several college football games. This was my first visit after being in the area for more than a year and I wish I had discovered it sooner. The service was really good too… nice guys.

I came to watch the Raider game and grab some food. I wasn’t expecting much with the food but I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the avocado, spinach, cheese and sausage omelette. It was delicious. They have a wide variety of beers on tap!

Had a freelance job in Pasadena which got done at 9:30pm. By the time I shook loose and hit Colorado Blvd. it was after 10pm. Zankou Chicken was closed so I busted out Unilocal. Found this place ‘cuz it was open late, close, and most importantly, highly rated. Looking at the menu I concluded that; I’ve had too many burgers recently and needed to cut down. The fish and chips could’t be good in a place like this. The nachos, fries and quesadillas would be too much cheese right before bed. I asked the ultra-friendly/helpful bartender Cliff what was good and he said the ribs. «In a joint like this» I think to myself? But a full rack was $ 17.75 and he said it was big. So I said«ok.» 10 minutes later he brings out a plate that I assume can’t be for me-it looked like it would feed at least 2 people. But he set it down in front of me and again, I assume it had to be tough and tasteless. WRONG! This was the best, largest, tastiest rack of ribs I’ve had in 20+ years. Un-frickin’-believable. So I order a Bravery Allegience IPA to go with it. A paltry $ 6.25 for a full-pour pint. Although I never heard of this one before, it was strong and mellow, a perfect complement to the meal. Besides the ribs being big, meaty, tasty and flavorful(are you sensing a theme here) the fries beat anything I’ve had in Pasadena in years. This was the most satisfying meal I’ve had in a long time. And I took more than half of it home for tomorrow. The ribs and fries are now on my favorite list along with J.R.‘s and JnJ Burger and BBQ Shack. See my reviews on them for more information. I’m guessing that I, or anyone else, should not judge this book by the cover. Other Unilocalers say the fish and chips are great so I’ll be back to try ‘em ‘cuz obviously, the assumptions I made from giving the menu the once-were were wrong. Seriously, I plan on coming back and trying everything else on the menu ‘cuz based on this meal, you can’t go wrong. I also saw a Unilocaler complain the place is dirty. Not true. It’s old but extremely well kept. Not a speck of dirt anywhere. Very authentic tavern-looking. I’ll be back as soon as possible but Cliff cautioned me they only occasionally cook past 9:45pm — they had something going on earlier so the kitchen was open late. Lucky for me.

Randomly came here one night. Legit dive place with a great selection of beers on tap. They have a no nonsense no frill approach. All the beer and wine offerings are on a white board. We got a pitcher of angry Orchard since I’m not a huge beer drinker and hard cider is very drinkable for people like me. It was just under $ 20 for the pitcher. Saw some people eating as well and the food looked pretty good. Cool place for a chill night when you just want to hang with friends and dress however you want.

We had a great time here. The food is and the bartender was seriously the best. Not sure what his name was but he looked like a handsome Jason Statham mixed with Luke from Gilmore Girls. Also the barback was very nice. We ordered two blondes, a chicken sandwich, ballpark nachos, and free mozzarella sticks!!! Can’t wait to return!

This was truly my best discovery when it comes to a hole in the wall. It’s located behind the theater in a corner of an alley where I never thought to look really. It’s a nice cozy 2 story place & they have a pretty good selection of crisp beer on tap. Prices were pretty fair & the bartenders were really nice. It’s a very chill spot if you come on the right days. I have yet to experience a busy night here but I’d rather keep it that way. Happy drinking Unilocalers.(By the way, if you have a slammed or dropped vehicle, please avoid the parking lot behind the theater. You’ll have better luck parking on the street or somewhere else, unless you want to be lazy. I wish you good luck with your bumper & your axles.)

We stumbled in here by accident. The entrance of the place is hidden away in an alleyway and had I not been with a Pasadena native I would have never known the place existed, We came in here for a quick drink. Mind you it was a Saturday night and the place was pretty empty and plenty of space to sit down and order a drink; having lived in LA my whole life it’s nice to be able to come to a place and not deal with a rowdy bar crowd. I ordered their hard cider and sat at the bar for a little while. I really enjoyed the short time we were there and I will love to come back again very soon.

I love T. Boyles for the Tuesday Trivia Night! Overall, the prices are good, the beer/cider selection is good, and the food is hit or miss. Their shrimp tacos were surprisingly delicious, but some of their burgers are really meh. They get extra stars for really friendly staff. Definitely a great place to hang out with a group of friends.

Nice hidden bar in Pasadena. Several of my friends go there after our Monday night volleyball games! The food is pretty decent considering it’s a bar. They did forget 3 of our orders, hence the three stars. They have a nice selection of beers to choose from! Has pool tables and an upstairs for private parties. Use your GPS because the place is hidden!

Not a bad place to watch a game. Kings lost which put a damper on the evening. One big screen projector. Lots of TVs. Good selection of beers on tap. If there is no game on tap, there is a shuffleboard table upstairs. We ordered food for the first time on our last visit. Started with some decent mozzarella sticks, which are free with check in and purchase of an entrée. For the entrée it was the peppercorn crusted burger medium rare. Came out a little overdone but it didn’t matter because the meat was so full of flavor. Simple fixings on top but that’s all that’s needed. Fries are ok. I’m not sure if table service is offered on a frequent basis, or they don’t really have a system worked out, or it’s only for games? One lady started by taking our order and delivering our first beer. Then, another guy brought out our food. Beers went empty. Couldn’t figure out where the lady was. Walked to the bar and filled them up. That’s where the mystery was solved. She was drinking with some customers at the bar. No heads up. «My shift’s over. Just head to the bar if you need anything.» Interesting. The bartenders were cool on both our visits. Still a nice place for a pint or quick bite. Just sit at the bar and you’ll be good.

I’m not a huge dive bar person, but this place was pretty cool. I have to admit I was a bit intimidated walking down the alleyway to get to this place and not really fitting in with the regulars. However, my buddy LOVES this place and we got a coupon. Our bartender was one of the nicest ladies and was smiling at everyone. Food here isn’t great, but it’s not too bad either. The guy next to us had some sad-looking nachos but he talked to them and they gave him more toppings the next time around. I don’t know why the pickled egg is served with pretzels but it really wasn’t my thing. My friend said I either liked it or didn’t and I gladly gave the rest to him. Our burgers were pretty good and hefty. I liked the kick of the Jalapeño burger, but I still preferred the BBQ Bacon Burger. Fries were delicious and coleslaw was pretty good. A cheap place to grab a couple beers with some good Happy Hour prices. I might be back for a beer one day but I’m gonna pass on the pickled egg.
