Mom & Pop Shop in Pasadena According to my coworker that lived in Pasadena for decades, THECOURMETCOBBLERFACTORY has been serving the City of Pasadena for decades. It is a local business located just a few steps from Colorado Blvd. To be exact, they are located a few doors from the movie theater at the corner of Colorado and Catalina Avenue. Parking is a nightmare in this area. There is a patient enough, there is a 20 minutes curbside parking directly in front of the store, just pray that the person parking there is doing the same thing you are doing — parking and picking up their delicious cobbler from the store. Otherwise, there is a parking lot next to the building, and it is $ 1.00/hour. We ordered a Peach Cobbler for a party. It was delicious. Everything tasted fresh and it was not too sweet. The Cobbler is best if you heat it back up in the oven and serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Everyone at our party loved it. The only down side is… It is expensive! Would definitely recommend this local business to anyone who is looking for a mean cobbler to serve as a dessert!

Where have you been all my life?! At first, I walked by a modest shop with minimalist look. Unilocaled to see it and saw 4 stars, my gut moved towards the entrance. Was greeted by a very nice lady. I ordered a peach cobbler a la mode. Two HUGE ice cream balls and warm cobbler came at me. All I can remember saying is, «Come to papa!» I kept saying this is too much for one person but my hand and mouth disagreed, I obliged. 10 mins later no clobber or ice cream. Nom Noms! I am glad I did not find this place sooner or else I’d be 30 pounds heavier! New found treat in Pasadena, what are you waiting for? Come get one!

How have I not have tried this place yet??? I had dinner at my aunt and uncles house and for dessert they served a peach cobbler with some vanilla ice cream. OMG it was to die for! It was really good. My aunt warmed the cobbler up for a few minutes in the oven and it was soooooo good. I need to go and try the gumbo. I hear thats pretty amazing too.

I’ve been eating these cobblers for 20+ years. Hand made, old fashioned, home cooking. They are still the best.

The mini pecan pies are yummy. The berry cobbler was stuffed with fruit and flavorful.

Best Cobbler in all of Southern CA hands down. I’ve been coming to this place since I was a kid and it’s still the best treat you can get in all of the city.

Love the cobbler the service is rude and unacceptable. Due to the unprofessional nature of customer service I will never return. No stars for service the cobbler speaks for itself. Family owned and operated. There is a family member that should be fired.

I’ve walked by this place hundreds of times and finally wanted to come and see what this place was about. Honestly, I wasn’t sure anybody was working at the store when we walked in around 7pm on a Friday. The lights were on, but there was nobody inside. As soon as we opened the door, there was a ding. A sweet older woman came out and greeted us. She apologetically told us that she only had peach and blackberry cobblers — which was fine by me! The cobbler is more runny that I thought. Like others have mentioned, there isn’t as much crust as I’m used to and like. This is also more of a «spoon» cobbler than a fork. However, quite delicious and I may come back for more. However, definitely disappointed to know prices have gone up quite a bit the past few years. Regardless, always open to supporting a local business! PS. There are a lot of dolls on the walls that were a bit imposing /intense for this type of store. Might be weird to see when you step in.

Just called to inquire about holiday orders, was cut off mid question and then the phone was hung up in my face. Will never spend another dime here. Without impeccable customer service, what’s the point?

Here’s what I had: — Sweet Potato Pie — $ 3, Very weak and bland. Tasted like bad yams with a pie crust at the bottom. The only good thing I can say is that it’s not too sweet. — Pecan Pie — $ 3.50, Tasted like a cheap pecan pie that you would buy at a supermarket except less sweet. Overall: Bland, cheap and weak are the adjectives I would use to describe this place. Waste of time and money. If you want a good pie go to The Pie Hole and get the Earl Grey. It’s not too sweet and has a unique flavor.

The peach cobbler was impeccable. It was so fresh, warm, and satisfying. Worth every penny! Great family orientated vibe! A must«go to spot» for dessert!

I wanted a cobbler one evening after work and got one from this place. The place was hot as ever and the peaches in the cobbler were soggy. I would not recommend this place.

I absolutely love their sweet potato pie, but their cobblers seem overpriced. They’re really not THAT tasty and the portions are rather modest. Also, upon checking my to go bag, the lady gave me mixed berry when I asked for blackberry. Is it that hard?

I so want to give them more stars but I just can’t. the peach pie was okay. there was no dough on the sides nor the bottom! i’m not sure if you could call that a pie… the 4×6 tin i got was essentially filled with peaches and the peach syrup and they just put a layer of lattice-ed dough on top… the inside filling was so sweet… overly sweet. i was just like eating peach preserves. murp. I can’t justify the $ 6.5 price point of what i got. perhaps i’ll try the potato pie next time.

This tiny cobbler shop is located off of N Catalina Ave right between Colorado and Union. If you walk too fast you might miss it, so keep an eye out. I’ll admit that I actually came to this place a couple of weeks back confident that the business hours would be accurate on Unilocal.I called and no one answered, I assumed that perhaps they were extremely busy so we drove by 20 minutes prior to closing and much to my dismay they were closed. Today, I started craving pie/cobbler again. I got the hubby to agree and he drove me down once again. Hurray! It was open. The outside needs some work and yes so does the inside… But, the cobbler??? KEEPDOINGWHATYOUDO, BOOBOO! That ish is gooooood! I got both the mixed berry and the apple cobbler, drove my ass down to Walgreens and bought vanilla ice cream, and once I got a bite I swear my eyes rolled to the back of my head. The husband agrees on its amazingness and he’s known for not having a sweet tooth. Love love love. But yes, the place needs a facelift which is why I removed one star. With how amazing their product is they should be millionaires!(Ok maybe an exaggeration… But, still.) it takes money to make money, humans are creatures that enjoy aesthetics! I say a quick sprucing of the joint and they’ll be slammed in no time.

Very nice mom and pop establishment known for they’re desserts and gumbo. If you want anything in particular I suggest you call ahead. What you want just may not be there. They make very small batches of cobblers and pies. I learned this when I ordered a sweet potato pie. The cobbler smell is very alluring and you will be tempered to try the cobbler. You should. They’re are very sweet but also very tasty. For three dollars a cobbler not a bad deal.

Hole in the wall is right. I almost walked right past the fading sign! I tried the mixed berry($ 7.50) and peach($ 6.50) cobblers. I think they were just okay, but pretty overhyped because the fruit fillings didn’t taste fresh. Either I’m crazy, or the mixed berries(strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries) tasted like they were from frozen and peaches from the can… Nothing really phenomenal. The fruit itself was almost flavorless and too sweet to eat on its own — for both flavors. Cobbler’s supposed to be about the FRUIT!!! For these reasons, I don’t think the price was justified. However, I did like the crust: it was layered, compact, soft, yet slightly crispy on top, especially around the edges. Oddly enough, the peach cobbler had a layer of dough on the top and bottom of the tin, but the mixed berry only had a top crust. I’m not sure if that was intentional or not.

YUMYUMYUM I didn’t know peach cobbler could taste so good! This is just another little jewel in the crown of Pasadena. Please patronize this wonderful little business so they remain open and keep making delicious treats. You will feel like Huell Howser(RIP) when visiting this place. Street parking is limited but there is parking in the back, use the theater parking. HELPFUL: * Park in the back * To go only, no place to eat * Let your kiddo choose the pie

I just love going to this little hole-in-the-wall each time we’re in Pasadena. The sweet shop owner is wonderful — we laughed and laughed while she got our order ready. You’ve got to be ‘Ok’ with what is available each day/time you go. She’s not a short-order baker. Every time we’ve gone, we order whatever pies she has, stop by the drug store across the street, get a spoon and vanilla ice cream and go to the college near-by, park and eat up! SO yummy! We had fresh WARM peach pie this time that was relish! Will be back time and time again!
