This place is a complete rip off. It is located in the pasadena convention center so the owner thinks he can charge what ever he feels like. I was there today and ordered a medium coffee. It’s usually $ 1.75, so I was surprised when she asked me for $ 2.80. Just because it’s at the convention center and the place is packed, this owner bumps up the price 33%. What a gouging ass !

I have never sat down at a Starbucks, a fact which certainly contributes to my three star review of this location. However, you don’t have to be the class clown to know funny when you see it, and this place is certainly lacking indoor seating, floor space, a rational queue fed by the door, wifi, phone charging, power, waiting area for drinks… The list is long. This is sort of a missing link between a supermarket Starbucks and a location with couches and pseudo-residents. Adding to the supermarket flair is that my Triple Skinny Cinnamon Dolce Latte has that horrible hint of peppermint… Not like they screwed up the order, but like they use the same spoon to make CDLs and Peppermint Mochas or something. It’s like someone dropped an Altoid in my coffee, and that, friends, is wrong on a number of levels. But I have to say, the staff didn’t mess with me, ask me questions about my shirt, or inquire how I’m enjoying being a Gold Member. It’s not that I don’t like people… It’s that there is a direct correlation between my ascerbic attitude and my need for coffee/caffeine. And the two gentlemen working here got my drink fast, and put some good elbow into the espresso shot. So a-ok, Gladys… I just can’t imagine this being an intended destination more than a fortuitous happenstance.

I have been to this starbucks everyday(except on my off days). They treat me like a friend, always treating me so warmly. I now know all staff. Updating from my previous review… I spelled Noemi’s name wrong! Adding in excellent service from Danny and Kevin! I love the fact that then know what i want everytime. THANKSGUYS! KEEPUPTHEAWESOMEWORK!

Not a real Starbucks. Not open Sunday when I walked here. I walked a long way bits inside a convention hall.

Review is for the physical location. It is connected to a convention hall so there are a ton of tables to sit at. Also much cleaner bathroom than regular starbucks. Great for business folks who want to have a quick and quiet place for meetings. No annoying blender in background.

I have to echo Robin on this. The staff is really poorly coordinated and give off an unfriendly vibe. Service is very slow and prices high. Steer clear unless your desperate and at a convention.

My best advice to you is to go up the street to the Starbucks on Colorado, either if them. Although the service has improved, a little more conscientiousness is needed. I have only been to this starbucks a hand full of times and each time it’s something. Well the final straw was yesterday. I ordered a doube tall soy latte. The price came to a dollar more than I normally pay. When I questioned that, they pointed at the board that list their prices and said the price was right. I had them print me out a receipt. I did some digging and found out that yes their price’s are different. They’re higher, a full dollar higher! I don’t appreciate being mislead and made to feel embarrassed. I went by the store again today to tell them what I discovered and guess what? I was told«Yes, I told you that yesterday, sorry if you didn’t hear me.» What?! Is THAT your apology? Please get some customer services skills.

On the one hand, the blueberries they give you for the oatmeal are dried ones, as opposed to the fresh blueberries I get at other Starbucks locations. On the other hand, staff is really friendly. I was visiting the Pasadena Convention Center for the Pinup Girl Yard Sale, and staff allowed folks waiting in line to use the bathroom. That’s unusual above-and-beyond for a Starbucks. So I think a «3» is a good rating. Probably not the best Starbucks, and seating is VERY limited, but you’ll get your morning pick-me-up with a smile.

This place is next to my work so i have tried them a few times even though their prices are higher than regular starbucks shops. They do not care that you are a gold member and no wifi! The worst part is not even that… The fact that their drinks taste like shit is the sad part. Over price, no points for members, and weird tasting drinks? I am never returning to this shithole. Do youeself a fav and do not come here if u want a good starbucks drink.

There was a much friendlier cashier here on my second visit. My previous comment about prices still applies. But sometimes only Starbucks will do.

No wifi. No free refills for gold Starbucks members. Staff is so-so. Crowded if there is an event at the convention center. Minimal seating inside. AND prices are 25−50% HIGHER than all other Starbucks in the area. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this Starbucks location. Shame on you Starbucks for putting your name on this location.

As I work within walking distance of this location, I started going to this Starbucks almost a year ago. Yes, it is a licensed store since it is part of the convention center. Therefore, it is not a «typical» Starbucks location which does have the downside of not being able to accept coupons or free drink redemptions on your Starbucks card. However, I must say that the staff at this location is absolutely amazing. They know my name and my drink order and sometimes it’s already«in line» to be made before I even get inside(they see me walking across the street). They are always happy, cheerful, and get my drink right EVERY time. I couldn’t live without this location being so close to work and I’m happy to see them each morning.

The best Starbucks! I like these guys. Good coffee without any nonsense at a prime location in Pasadena, right next to the convention center at Marengo and Green.

FYI, unless you’re a captive audience at either the Pasadena Convention Center or the Hilton, you have no reason to make this your local Starbucks. This location is a licensed store, therefore everything is roughly $ 0.30-.40 more, plus tax. For comparison, a tall cup of coffee at corporate stores, like the one you’ll find only one block north on Colorado in the Paseo(408 E Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, CA91101) costs, as of this writing, $ 1.65. That same tall cup at this location came to $ 2.24. On top of this, in the state of California you should never pay tax on coffee that is «to go.» I know, I know, it’s silly, because isn’t all coffee«to go,» and it’s yet another confusing thing about California. But as long as they offer it, take advantage. Tell the cashier that it’s «to go» and no tax should be charged. Overall, if Starbucks is your brand of choice, visit the«117 W Colorado Blvd Pasadena, CA91199» location, next to Barnes & Noble in Old Town. That’s a nice store, friendly and prompt employees, and they have Clover.

It’s a Starbucks. It still has that new Starbucks smell. You can tell the staff is brand spankin’ new. And when you leave, you can exit through the Convention Center. (There’s a lift for your wheelchair). (Or even if you’re not in a wheelchair).
