I have been wanting to try this place out. I finally made it. Parking was a bit difficult so i ended up in the parking structure that ended up being $ 12.50. so yeah … Not happy about that. Definitely not what I expected. Very small place. Seats are a bit uncomfortable. The bathroom is not even in the same building. The two women that were working were somewhat unpleasant and very unfriendly. I think one of them smiled once. Not a very busy place. I was here for about two hours for a meeting. We ordered food and coffee and their was about two other customers within that time frame. I must admit the food was good. I had the waldorf salad and it was very tasty and fresh. Coffee was average same as starbucks etc. Food and drinks are pricy. I am not to sure i will be coming back but at least I tried it out …

Stopped in here for some coffee and decided to have some lunch. Ordered a half Turkey Avocado sandwich and a fresh cup of coffee. While waiting for my meal, I checked out the enticing baked goods. Didn’t have a choice had to have a chocolate chip cookie. The sandwich was great with the fresh baked sourdough bread. The coffee was good, nice flavor. The cookie was a good finish to a simple lunch. Staff, when I was here, was cordial and delivered the food promptly to my table. Casual ambience with some nice original art on the walls. Nice place to have a quick bite.

I work in the same building as Lovebirds and so far hands down, I’m a fan! Let me get down to details: The Place: The place is always clean and readily stocked. The staff is always really nice and pleasant to order from. The Food: I ordered the half chicken salad combo with half Country Potato Soup– DELICIOUS! The next day I ordered the Half order of Meat Chili and Egg Salad Sandwich– NOMNOMNOM! Someone put their foot in that chili because it was down right sinful! I will be returning often and updating my review.

FOOD: This place is pretty close to my apartment and on my way home from work. It seems to be pretty convenient for those who work in the area. It’s your typical salad/soup/sandwich joint. There isn’t anything that really stands out as being exceptional or amazing, but it hits the spot and it generally pretty healthy. AMBIANCE: It’s a pretty small space, so you can’t really come with a group. Again, it’s the type of place where you just grab a quick bite to go. CUSTOMERSERVICE: I can’t say that every experience with their customer service has been the best. I think they’ve gotten better over the past year, though. They just aren’t super friendly. Not mean, per say, but just not chipper like you usually see at most SoCal restaurants.

Drove by this cute looking café while on Colorado. It’s cute name kind of lured me in. I was lucky enough to find parking right in front. The set up inside is very simple and cafeteria like. Lots of tables inside. Their sandwiches are pretty good. Had a Reuben sandwich which was not bad. Good portion. Coffee was not bad either. Overall my food experience was just so so. Staff was very nice and quick at getting my order ready. Would come back again.

I’m not a big fan of lovebirds. I actually think their sandwichs they make is gross. Every time I order a sandwich, the bread they use is like rock hard! It always hurts my teeth eating here and I’m just fed up with it. Why can’t they make their bread softer. It makes me feel that they use old bread cause it’s so hard. And as for the sandwich, I feel like they lack flavors. They never make their sandwichs that great. The only thing I still order here is their soup. Just cause I want soup and they always have soup. So that’s the only thing I eat and I don’t think I will ever eat their sandwichs again. :(

A nice fresh food lunch option. I enjoy the Red and Green salad and add fresh turkey to it(they bake their own turkeys fresh each day at a nearby Lovebirds and deliver here). Everything I have tried here is consistently fresh and efficient for a quick lunch option. Workers are friendly and they take credit cards.

I had to come to the area for work recently. I stopped in here for a frozen /blended caramel coffee. It was nothing amazing. The location is very convenient and pricing is pretty good. Service was pleasant. Could be the California weather, which I am not used to, but my coffee ended up freezing to a chuck at the end(strange I have no real understanding why this happened). Maybe the shop needs a dedicated barista because before my coffee was made the girl behind the counter assisted another customer. Had to add a forth star for superb customer service and online interaction.

The thing about Lovebirds is that everything LOOKS delicious. Sadly, everything TASTES rather boring. Pretty much everything is a ohhh-that-looks-so-good-wait-there’s-no-damn-flavor experience. Sandwiches, omelettes, pastries, desserts, everything. Meh.

Good food but, call or walk in if you can. I do not recommend online ordering through Eat24 if you are going to get a smoothie or something that differs between the 3 Pasadena locations. This location doesn’t offer the«power menu». The smoothies they do offer are a dollar cheaper so they ended up refunding me. Make sure if it takes awhile with your order to get validated for enough time. I was only validated for 15 minutes so the money I was refunded I ended up spending on the parking garage. The women working there were helpful and professional so that is a plus. The one who seemed to be a mgr or asst. mgr explained that the power smoothies are actualy offered at their 921 Colorado location. I ended up with and Arnold Swartzenberry(sp) instead of the Vita-mine I ordered. The spinach salad was fresh with crispy bacon. It was also decent for a lunch portion. I would order it again. The smoothie was ok as a substitite and they modified it for me(no honey). I would go back, but either call first to guarantee they have what I want or just walk in. She also recommended I use the Leapset app for my online order with them.(I ordered the Vita-mine smoothie 2 days later at the 921 Colorado location using Leapset and they had run out of the ingredients earlier that week) While I was there a woman came in and ordered chicken breast, avocado and hard boiled eggs so it seems there are definitely Paleo options which is a plus.

I love this place! I always order for delivery when I’m at work down the street and they’re so nice when taking my order even though I can hear they’re super busy over the phone. I always get there egg white breakfast burrito or the love that basil sandwich. The turkey Blt is really good too but I can’t get enough of the basil sandwich. It’s so good I can eat there food everyday no joke. The manager usually takes my orders and she’s really nice and friendly. Love this place. I tell all our clients to go there when they ask where they can get lunch close by.

Came in at 10:45am this morning. Cashier was stuck on the phone. I waited 10 minutes like an idiot, standing directly in front of a Lovebirds employee who was on the phone. There were 4 other employees, yet apparently no one could actually acknowledge me, let alone take my order. I would’ve been a good sport and waited longer, but unfortunately I had to get to the office upstairs. I mistakenly thought I would be able to get downstairs early before the lunch rush, get some food, and be back up in the office in time for a hectic schedule of calls and meetings. This isn’t first time something like this has happened to me at Lovebirds. The only reason why I keep coming back and trying is because they’re in my building on the ground floor. I will admit the sandwiches and soup are good… Provided that you can get an employee to actually take your order. I’ve read the other Unilocal reviews, and I’m surprised that others have mentioned friendly service. I’ve been here a number of times. I have yet to experience what other Unilocalers are talking about. I never have experienced upbeat staff or exceptional service for a soup and sandwich place. I always get the order takers who don’t seem very interested in working there. I’m the type of person that tries to understand and stay upbeat. After all, we’re all just people. But a good attitude has never been reciprocated for me here for some reason. Like I said the soup and sandwiches are really good. So perhaps you should try it out and see. As for me, I’m walking down a block to Del Taco or to Avanti for a pizza slice when I’m in a time crunch. Lovebirds doesn’t have their act together in my experience.

A bit cafeteria style, the open rafters is nice but the staff isn’t overly helpful or personable. Good coffee and food was average. A bit over priced for what you get. Not a place I’m rushing back to.

I was in the mood to have a light, healthy lunch. The chicken sandwich hit the spot. Chicken salad had grapes, celery, onions, mayo and choice of bread. Bread I selected was the Dr. Snyder.(seven grain with walnuts, raisin, and honey) The bread was actually quite tasty. I need to buy a loaf next time to take it home to my oc friends to try. Air fries could have been crunchier. It did not meet my expectation. I love down town Pasadena. Great selection of food, friendly people!

I came here for lunch the other day and tried the Classic Reuben sandwich with the Dr. Snyder bread. I was really surprised with how good this bread tasted, made with seven grain with walnuts, raisins & honey, and how it complimented the sauerkraut and dressing. The portion was just right, but the sandwich was so good and made me wish for a little bit more. There’s enough seating in this little café that sits on the side of an office building, and you have the option of sitting inside or outside. Service was good and the place was felt clean as it used a lot of the natural lighting coming from the windows. There’s a few pastries here which I’ll have to try when I come by again the next time.

Now I can finally review this place after 1. working down the street from it and not being able to stop in and 2. having training for 2 weeks in the building and eating it for 7 days. Turkey Avocado is the way to go. Heaps of turkey and tons of fresh avocado with crisp lettuce and tomato. I had mine on toasted 7 grain I also tried the cobb salad with the house vinaigrette… amazing Reuben sandwich… DELICIOUS and the Thanksgiving Sandwich at Alex V.‘s recommendation all were fabulous, fresh, and fulfilling.
