We were staying at the Hilton Pasadena and after a large dinner the night before, we wanted a lighter breakfast option. We were so pleased to find this place just down the street. We ordered Coco Rush and Almond Reto and both enjoyed them. Being a smoothie-maker myself, it’s hard to swallow the cost of a $ 7 smoothie, knowing I can make it myself at hind for much less, but the ingredients are quality and the drinks are hand-crafted. Much better than a chain smoothie place. We would cons here again.

For a place called«Freshly Squeezed Juice Bar» it can’t get more direct than that so be prepared to know what you are getting yourself into. The location is a small little cozy place within walking distance of the Paseo Colorado outdoor mall. If you are in the mood to grab something healthy and want something to cool you down from the hot weather lately then give this place a shot. There are a lot of different fruit bowls and what not to choose from but I decided to get the Acai that was stuffed with coconut flakes, granola, strawberries and blueberries. The color of the pitaya bowl was like a neon hot pink color, I haven’t seen anything like it before but trust me, it tasted as good as it looked. The only complaint I really had was that it took a while for the employees to make it. There was only one order ahead of us so we thought that it was going to be quick since we had a movie to catch. I think we ended up waiting for a good 15 minutes or so before getting it and only had about 10 minutes to quickly scarf it down without enjoying it as much. So if you come here just remember to have plenty of time to have the full experience. I would recommend coming here if you are looking for something refreshing and healthy. The large size is enough to share for two people and will probably get you full if you eat it by yourself so it’s a great meal substitution.

I’ve been converted. I ordered the large tropical pitaya bowl($ 9), which was only a little more than the small size($ 7) and held twice the amount of liquid. Contents of the bowl were pitaya blended with almond milk, sliced berries, bananas, honey or agave, and hempseed granola. Pros: –Quick service. My order took about 5 minutes –Lots of vegan-friendly choices like almond/soy milk –Hempseed granola + honey or agave = heaven –Generous serving of fruits distributed evenly throughout the bowl(not just on top, that really irks me) –Finished half for lunch, had half left over for another meal Cons: –None that come to mind

Came here for the acai bowl and was utterly disappointed. It had this thin layer of some kind of slimy syrup all over the top of the fruits that gave the entire bowl a weird and gross texture. Everything here was super expensive and way overpriced. They dont even give parking validation here and the worker told me to go to GMC nextdoor and ask for a validation… Wtf. 0 stars for the food and for poor consideration of parking foe customers, but the interior was very cutely decorated.

I got hooked on acai when I sampled it at Costco. So I decided to try a legit bowl from a legit place. No kidding — their acai bowl is so delicious. The acai smoothie is thick and smooth. They blend it so well that there are no ice chunks in there. It’s topped with multi grain granola that has flax seeds in there and blueberries, strawberries, and bananas. Sick delicious and healthy.(Well… maybe not. There is a lot of sugar packed in this baby). You can get the small bowl for $ 7 or opt for the gigantic one for $ 9. After my small bowl, I can see how people finish the big one. It’s intimidating but after the first bite you’ll be thinking, «Hot damn! I should’ve gotten the large one instead.»

This place looks cute and seems like they use fresh ingredients. That being said, I ordered the CocoRush upon suggestion from the employee working there after asking for something«not that sweet.» I found it wayyyyy too sweet. The flavors were good but I should have skipped the dates or something. The first two times I went there, they ran out of pittaya and acai which made a smoothie the only option. I’m sure some of the drinks are probably good, but you may need to adjust some ingredients to reduce the sugar-rush that will follow. The smoothie was $ 7.75 which is pricey. And I was looking for something healthy and fresh but ended up feeling like I ate a not so great dessert. I would go back if I was in need of a smoothie/juice and in the area or I would try the acai bowl. I will report back if that happens!

Pretty nice little joint, few seating inside and outside. They have really comfy chairs! It’s pretty quiet inside apart from the blender, so I think it’s a good place to meet a friend for brief lunch. There is plenty of 1 hour street parking on Green. I work right around the corner so this place is super convenient place for me to get something healthy and vegetarian when I forget my lunch. Their menu consists of juices, fruit bowls, oatmeal, and salads. I usually get their tropical pitaya bowl and their pink lady smoothie. Both super good and I have to control myself from going here every day! The pricing on their bowl is kind of weird though. The small is probably around 9 dollars, but if you pay a dollar more you get double the amount. I also like to add kale(which is an extra dollar), so it can get to be pretty expensive. Paying for the large bowl is not that bad, except it is SO much and can’t really save these things for later without the granola getting soggy and everything melting. I like coming here with a friend and splitting the large sized fruit bowl. They’re usually nice and they’ll split it into 2 bowls for you if you ask :) Props to the service, they’re always really friendly and helpful. Also FYI, this place closes pretty early… I think like 6pm. This is unfortunate for me because sometimes I want something after I’m done working out at the gym across the street, but they’re usually closed by the time I’ve finished. I’m addicted to pitaya bowls, and this is the only place in Old Town(sort of) that I know I can get my fix so I would recommend this place!

Called in an order for pickup, it was an oatmeal and a pitaya bowl for my boss one morning aroung 930 got there waited 5 min and the girl gives me my order as im walking out i check both the items since my boss is very particular. Opened up the oatmeal across the street at my job and i saw a hair. Major eww. Major i almost lost my job because some girl got her thick coarse straight black hair in my bosses oatmeal. It wasnt just in it either or just on top like it had fallen off her head i literally pulled the hair out it was literally woven in the oatmeal deeply threaded. Freaking disgusting i gagged. It almost seemed like it was done purposefully how the hell does that happen. Ran back because like i said my boss is particular of daily errands and i asked for another as quiet as possible so no customer can hear me since im not trying to embarass the girl and i desperately need something from her ACCEPTABLEOATMEAL. She goes«oh im so sorry. Um i can check if i have anything left over for you» WHAT??? GIRLYOUBETTERGOMAKEME A NEWBATCHANDFIXTHISMISTAKE, is what i thought in my head. Several minutes later she comes back with oatmeal water with some oats and fruit in a container. Im not joking it was unacceptable i took some heat from that from my boss until she got the details. No one in our buisness of work will be coming here again until we can stomach it and get over it. I was disgusted i suggest employees to wear tight slick back buns or caps if youre theyre preparing food and bevarage because loose ponytails with frizz aint enough. I must say as bad as she messed up she’s still one of the most tolerable and sweet workers there. Ive had terrible experience with the others where they were juat flat out rude and they have even mocked my coworker over the phone. Hopefully you guys close down and move up with the rest of the buisnesses on paseo for the new hotel amd take time to evaluate your staff and what the company stands for. Also have to add that even though she was the only worker there it was so slow so there is no excuse literally only a couple was there during that whole fiasco.

This place is so cute! I love the interior of this place and I couldn’t stop taking pictures LOL. I ordered the pitaya mai tai, since I didn’t know what to order, and it was delicious! My sister ordered the Shirley temple and the total came out to be $ 17.50. I thought that was pretty expensive, since I never really got pressed juice often. The staff is pretty nice and greets me hello and goodbye. The atmosphere here is very clean and has a good vibe to it. I hope to come back soon

I love this place! I come here 2 – 3 times a week. I’ve had the green bowl and the berry bowl numerous times and they’re both amazing! I always tell myself I’m going to try a juice or a smoothie next time I go in, but I can’t stay away from the ACAI bowls! Perfect for breakfast or even just a snack. The staff is super friendly too! Especially the guy who works there. I’ve brought my dog with me twice and he always comes out and gives her water. He also brings my husband, my daughter and I water as well and asks how everything tastes. Def will continue to come here! :)

oh my gah the berry acai bowl is soooo delicious. I am dreaming of another one right now. It is piled high with delicious strawberries, blueberries, and bananas. They use almond milk and blend in a bunch of goodies. I want to try everything on the menu! It’s always a cool idea to get an acai bowl and walk down the boulevard! And the staff are super cool and nice and the space is so clean and beautifully simple and modern.

I love this place! The menu has something for everyone and everything I’ve tried so far is really tasty. I would recommend the Green Straight Up. They also have food options but I have yet to try them. The staff is very friendly! They are willing to answer any questions or recommend a drink if you can’t decide for yourself.

Stopped by for a refreshing drink. Ordered the Pink Lady Piaya smoothie: pitaya, coconut water, pineapples. REALLY good! Not one fruit overpowered the other. Check this place out

Personal preference for acai bowl is 1⁄5th topping and rest acai. The double green acai bowl I got here was almost half granola/fruits. It had two layers of granola/fruits(one midway thru and one on top) and not enough acai for me. Some of the granola pieces were also very large making every bite very crunchy. I wish we had tried the pitaya bowl because I found the topping variety for our acai bowl a bit lacking.

***I have to say, I’m a nice customer. I always make small talk. I tip if I liked the service(I’ve even broken big bills JUST to tip). I always make sure to say Thank You and apologize if I’m in the wrong. And when people make mistakes, I sometimes just let it slide(like at another restaurant a girl accidentally gave me rice, I told her not to worry about it because she was so sweet). But yeah… I like to treat people like how I like to be treated… this was not the case.*** So I went here today and it was not pleasant at all. It sucks that this is the closest juice place to my office, but now I know I rather walk four to five blocks to get Pressed Juicery after dealing with the people here. I came in with my coworker to get a drink. We weren’t greeted and I was okay with that… I don’t expect to be greeted. I was reading the menu and saw the choices and didn’t know what an ingredient was and she pointed at a sign like I was dumb. It was a dragon fruit. Okay, I get it. You could had just told me it was dragonfruit and not point at the sign like I was stupid. So I was torn between two drinks — Pink Lady and Mai Tai style drink. I asked them how they were… her response: «The ingredients are listed right there.» I asked, «well, which one is sweeter? Which do you like?» She said, «Mai Tai is sweeter.» and that’s it. Okay, so I ordered the Pink Lady and paid for my drink. My coworker couldn’t see the menu that well and so I asked them if they had paper menus. The fact they didn’t have the printed menus is fine… the way she responded to me with attitude, «No. We ran out.» Okay. I looked online and they had a menu… and she didn’t even tell me. Thanks. And then we sat down to chat and they called out drinks and I thought she called out my drink and my colleague’s drink… and I grabbed both of them. I kept asking them which is which and find out, one of the drinks belongs to the guy who ordered before me. They couldn’t even keep track of their drinks!?! Really? All you have to do is just be clear on whose drink it belongs to. Pink Lady — meh… no flavor. So not only did I get a bland drink for $ 7+… I got horrible customer service. This is really depressing because I juice everything. I actually spend a lot of money to do daily juice cleanses like Juice Farm and Pressed Juicery. I’m definitely not going to come back here. This place has no respect for their customers and were just plan rude. Yes, I’m going to report this store to the main office.

Their kale salad is so simple but packs a powerfully healthy punch for lunch. It’s a little less than $ 10 and could easily be two meals. It has kale, dates, red onion, nuts and a vinaigrette. Be warned that the red onion is potent, so prob not something you want to crack open in a public space. They currently have a summer version that has strawberries and apples for a $ 1 more, so if want something with a little more pizzazz, order that one instead!

Went here with a friend after our 12 mile run. What a freaking wonderful reward and exactly what our bodies(and taste buds) needed! I got a small pitaya(aka dragon fruit) bowl and my friend got a small acai bowl. At first when I saw their size small bowls, I almost opted for a large size but glad I didn’t because I could barely finish the small size! They pack these babies with fruit(strawberries, bananas, blueberries), granola, and coconut shavings to the brim. Luckily, you can ask for a lid if you need to take it home. The pitaya bowl is a beautiful vibrant pink color. So eye catching! Lots of free 1 hour street parking, more than enough time for you to eat and enjoy your bowl. They have comfy seating and air conditioning. Important for these blazing summer days. Will definitely return after my Rose Bowl runs now!

I was craving a pitaya bowl but wasn’t in the OC(where I usually go to growl juice pub) so I looked up if there were any near the pasadena area. Found this place and went to check it out. PARKING: It is in the paseo colorado shopping area(with arc light) but apparently they don’t validate. So instead we just parked on the street and paid meter for an hour. Kinda sucks. It’s located on the outskirts of the mall area, so you can see it from the main street. It’s next to Mrs. Fields and Starbucks. ATMOSPHERE: The inside is fairly small with only 2 – 3 tables and chairs for 2 people each and some seating outdoors. I think most people get it to go or get it and walk around the mall. They play light music and the sound of the blender is kind of loud but it’s not as loud as growl juice pub. FOOD: Got the berry pitaya bowl because I don’t like the taste of pineapples and coconut in my pitaya bowls. Mixed pitaya(dragon fruit) with strawberries and bananas and then topped it with hempseed granola, strawberries, blueberries and bananas. I like pitaya better than acai because I like the sweet taste, acai is more of a berry taste. I also said no on the coconut flakes because they normally put some on the top. I liked that they give it to you with a lid so it’s easy to eat on the go. They also double layer the toppings so it’s pitaya blend, granola + berries, pitaya blend, then granola + berries + bananas. It tasted pretty good, maybe not quite as flavorful as I remember growl’s being, but overall good. $ 9 may seem expensive but they give you a good amount of food and I gotta love those clear containers it comes in! The wait took about 7 minutes for us to get our food, but that’s because there was a person in front of us. Overall, great if you’re looking for a pitaya bowl.

What a lovely juice house! I was caught off guard by the menu. The name of the juices are so creative, it’s like happy hour minus the alcohol. You must go in to understand what i mean :) I had the green acai bowl, it was good, but they forgot the granola!(Hence the reason I didn’t give a full 5 stars) The setting is really cool and zen. I love the couch area in the back where you can lounge with some raw goodies! I’m glad I ran into this place.

I came to Freshly Squeezed Juice Bar twice in one week(the week I happened to not juice myself). This is an awesome place to stop by after a run at the Rosebowl. Both experiences were similar. Prices were high and receiving the product was slow. Before anyone gets butt hurt about the slow process, keep in mind that they make every single drink MADETOORDER. So if you don’t have time to wait, I think you can call in your order in advance. The wait didn’t matter to me, every single drink that I had a taste of was refreshing, rejuvenating, and quite delicious. Out of the two days, we ordered: Bloody Beet, Green Straight Up, Sunset on the Beach, Cucumber Sour, and the Berry Acai Bowl. Bloody Beet: you essentially get down to your roots(get it!?). Beet-y. Green Straight Up: Gingery and lemony, with your daily dose of veggies: spinach, celery, cucumber, and apples. Sunset on the Beach: carrot, apple, cucumber, celery, spinach, cayenne pepper. The cayenne pepper is definitely a kicker!(My favorite of the bunch) Cucumber Sour: cucumber, kale, celery, parsley, ginger, lemon, lime, cayenne pepper. Light and refreshing. Berry Acai Bowl: acai, banana, berries, almond milk, agave. A little on the sweet side for me. I could pass on this one. Great products here, seriously«freshly squeezed». The downside for me is the price. At $ 7.25 for 16oz drink, I have some doubts but there are obviously pros and cons. You have essential healthy life for a pretty penny OR you can just have normal cup of joe at Starbucks next door. –Give it a try! P. s.: Parking, try to find street metered parking. I just don’t like to park at the Paseo.
