Love that the ingredients are local, I can taste the difference. They only have so much food on hand each day as it’s local and fresh. Therefore they sometimes have to close the café due to running out of food. Sounds annoying but it feels good to know a local business is doing so well and that their ingredients are THAT fresh. They’re open for both lunch and dinner. But my favorite is the Sunday brunch. For lunch, I love their grilled cheese sandwich. It’s made with love and three different cheeses. Yum… Staff is very accommodating and friendly.

Took my children here with a friend after a fun day of wondering in Parkville. Food was alright, limited menu but local ingredients made a nice touch. Cute home transformed into restaurant.

The«Locavore» trend rages on and has made a successful landing in Parkville, MO. The board outside says they use meat and produce from farms nearby and Great Harvest(I think) bread made in Kansas City. The restaurant is in an old house just up from the main drag in Parkville, with separate dining areas made from 3 or 4 of the rooms. The décor is bright and cheery, with works by local artists adorning the walls-all for sale of course. The service was friendly without being overbearing. The standard menu is a half-sheet of paper offering a burger, chili dog and sandwiches on one side, and a kids’ menu and sides on the other. Several daily specials are posted on old panes of glass mounted in each room, and include vegetarian and gluten-free items. I had a tasty and rather fiery bowl of chili, and my daughter had a club sandwich off the«Light Side» menu accompanied by some really nice sweet potato chips, which incidentally cooled the fire of the chili a little bit! We had enough room to split dessert-cheesecake with chocolate ganache underneath and caramel syrup-Yum! There’s no liquor service at this time, and I’m not sure if they’re open past lunchtime, but they do serve breakfast on Wednesday and Thursday. Based on what I had today, it’s worth checking out!
