Oh boy. Where do I start? The French Bee Bakery is AMAZING! Today was my first trip ever. I anticipate going at least 6 million more times. We got several things. A piece of spinach mushroom quiche was the first item & it was a cheesy, flaky masterpiece. And in all honesty, I think it’s on my diet because it’s veggie after all;) The rest of the haul included one of several things: blackberry bar, pbj bar, bees knees sandwich cookie, piece of coffee cake. We divvied things in halves & shared bites of everything w/lots of extra to take home. Every single thing was great. My favorite was the blackberry bar! The extra awesome part was they also have cakes available for sale. I was headed to my grandmas for her bday, so we got a small celebration cake. It was beautiful, tasted amazing & cost $ 16.95. We served 8 w/it. I can not wait to buy one of these again! All in all…5 star experience!

I’ve been here several times over the course of two years and have grown to love this little bakery. Whether it’s for a lunch. Or pick up some pastry for a dessert at home. I love to cook and serve meals to my friends and family however baking a dessert adds a lot of extra time that I don’t have so it’s cool just to swing by here and pick up one or two pastries and serve them to your friends and family after your meal you had really really enhances a family dinner. And I love the GUI French butter cake One serving of theirs equals three servings if you slice up some fruit and add it on the plate next to the pastry. I really appreciate this bakery now that I visited a new bakery in Gladstone and saw the difference wow do I love this bakery

The French Bee is crazy good! chorizo potato and the artichoke/sundried potato quiches were soooo yummy… cinnamon coffee cake and chocolate croissant were melt in your mouth outstanding! a welcomed tasty pleasure after a poor experience at a Parkville Italian joint. Vive la French Bee!

Cute little place, but I have some major cons. One, the staff know absolutely nothing about the products. Twice now I’ve been and there have been«incorrect» signs in front of the items. So when I ask«can I have a maple tartlet?» they smirk and say«umm we don’t have that«well I want what’s right there in front of the goddamn sign that says maple tartlet mmmkk??? Second, their toaster pastries are only available on Saturday. Please make them every day! Third. That orange marmaladeish chutneyish you put on the sandwiches ain’t all that. Yuck with a side of ick! The owner was a snob when I bought a $ 20 pie from her. The staff didn’t know what kind of pies were in the fridge, so they called her out from the back to point to each pie and tell me what kind they were. Hey lady, not my fault your staff is clueless! I’ll pop in every once in awhile because it’s still a cute place. I wish they’d serve ding dongs instead of hire them though. Is that too much to ask?

A little bit of Paris tucked into Parkville. The staff greet you with a smile and the pastries, quiche and cookies will make you salivate. I’ve enjoyed the quiche, with its flaky crust, the candied bacon is a bacon lover’s dream and the cookies are sinfully delicious. They also serve very tasty soups and sandwiches at lunch. They offer a variety of coffee and tea choices. I am partial yo the Chia tea latte. If that isn’t enough, they also make cakes! We did a tasting of wedding cakes and they are making a carrot cake for our big day. The dining room is quaint, but don’t sit at the table which faces the air conditioner unless you like a cold breeze.

I have loved this place every time I’ve gone. The salted toffee bars are probably the best dessert I’ve ever tasted. You must try them! The staff is always friendly as well and I enjoy going in!

I had high hopes for this place, it is super cute and I love the location and like to support local businesses. First of all I had some tomato soup here and they added sugar to it. This is my biggest pet peeve. Tomato sauce and salsa should never have sugar added, there is no reason. I gave this place a try on another occasion where the girl working didn’t know how to ring anything up or use the credit card machine. The quiche I got was average at best. Then, I decided to try the coffee shop in Parkville and their quiche and any sweets that I have had have been above and beyond. I would think that this would be the opposite. Now, I only go to the coffee shop.

The quiche was vey good, but I took the last slice at 10:30 a.m. and my friend had to order a sandwich, because it would be another hour before more quiche was available. If they were open on Sunday’s they would have a LOT of business. I will go again. I enjoyed their Roasterie coffee, too.

The French Bee is a charming addition to Parkville. Breakfast or lunch, you can’t go wrong with their fresh & tasty selections, I just wish they stayed open a little later. My absolute favorite is their lemon bars!

Lovely little converted house turned quaint bakery and brunch spot in downtown Parkville. We’ve only had the bakery items so I cannot review anything for lunch. Tried the blackberry bar… these were nice looking, with lots of heavy, buttery baked crust with very little fruit on the bar. I mostly tasted the crumbly crust and only could eat about half of it. My son does enjoy the blueberry muffins(although he claims the ones he gets in Briarcliff are better). Once we ordered the pain au chocolate. Chocolate croissant essentially. My daughter was excited! A croissant was taken from the case and ushered to the back kitchen area. Hmmm. When it came back out, it was the previous naked croissant that had been drizzled heavily with melted chocolate and sprinkled with lots of sugar! It may have looked heavenly to some but it was not at all what I expect pain au chocolate to be. It should be baked inside of the croissant! ;) Having a 5 year old attempt to eat this was met with disastrous(and humorous) results! Essentially she licked off the melted chocolate while getting it everywhere! No more ordering of that item anytime again. From the looks of it, lunch appears well received and lovely so I may have to try out that option soon!

French bistro, quant and homey with delicious pastries. We tried several items: chicken sandwich, turkey wrap, quiche, corn chowder soup, tomato soup, sugar covered bacon, truffle brownie and coconut macaroon… Everyone tried all the above and we all agreed it was all authentic and tasty. Be patient, they are making your food fresh in the back, if you’re in a hurry stick with the quiche, pastries and soup, as sandwiches will take just a bit longer.

I live in Parkville and this is my favorite spot on a lazy weekend. Also a great place to pick up bakery treats or boxed lunches for the office. I love the sundried tomato-artichoke quiche and lavender shortbread cookies. They serve unique lunch combos like chicken artichoke sandwich with tomato-basil soup. If you really want to indulge try a chocolate éclair or sugared bacon.

I’m not sure how I ended up here — I let Unilocal find me «coffee» on the way to the airport — and it was a real hidden gem. First, the drive from downtown to get here was nice. Along the river and through smaller places. And second, the coffee was excellent. Full and rich, quite tasty and I could feel the caffeine as it kicked in. The highlight was the excellent scone that I enjoyed with the coffee. Truly delicious. Maybe a little more moist than I’m used to but that didn’t take away from my enjoyment of this yummy pastry. Wifi worked well, which was nice as it’s a bit of a dark spot for my T-Mobile coverage. If you’re headed to/from the airport and you’re willing to get off the beaten path, you’ll enjoy a stop at the French Bee.

I’m ashamed I’ve not known of this darling, delicious, original little gem just down the road! My husband, and I were looking for homemade pastries, near home, and fortunately landed here. We entered the charming little house, overlooking panoramic downtown Parkville, and were met with the most wonderful surprise. Beautifully displayed pastries, quiches, cookies, and bars were laid out before us. I believe there was a menu, but I was too giddy to take note. I had the most delicious quiche Lorraine, a pecan swirl pastry that was light and flaky, and came home with a pecan sandie type cookie, called«the bee’s knees» that was just that! My husband had the most perfect blueberry lavender sconce; flavorful, while not too sweet, or dry. He’s the coffer lover, said it was great. The adorable woman who served us was wonderful. We felt like we were at home, alone, on the shaded, herb lined patio for 2 hours. I can’t wait to go back, again, and again, and again until I’ve tried every item on the menu. Then I’ll repeat, from the beginning. We plan to ride our bikes here, to earn the extra calories!

Cute little house on a hill. Tomato soup was excellent along with the egg salad sandwich. The carrot cake, was one of the best I have ever had. Service was grand. A yes.

This little bakery is adorable and serves up Roasterie coffee and some of the prettiest(and tastiest) treats around. Grab a lavender donut or one of their perfect sugar cookies and a slice of quiche and settle in with a book. I did find the scones too sweet and a bit dry, but I’m very particular about those, and their coffee cake and other treats are yummy. Plus it’s one of the few places to get Roasterie coffee around Parkville.

My future Mother-In-Law and I enjoyed coffee here this afternoon. Getting wrapped up in wedding details, we didn’t notice they had closed and we’re cleaning around us. I know every server’s nightmare. Anyway, the coffee was great, the pastries delicious, but the hospitality was bar none! Such a neat place to drink coffee, talk wedding, or just enjoy a great ambiance to get your caffeine fix!

It’s a cute little place, that’s for sure. Very dainty and feminine. The pastry case is full of freshly made tasty treats. I had coffee cake so good that it made me vow to never diet again. The other baked goods I’ve sampled have all been pretty tasty as well. I’ve taken home their granola(made with local honey!) and I enjoyed it quite a bit as well. Thing is, I don’t really care for the coffee. I am aware that maybe I’m becoming a bit of a coffee snob, but I really couldn’t get down with their regular brew, which from what I’ve been told is a specialty blend from The Roasterie. By all accounts I should like it, but like it I did not! Also, there are no clearly marked bathrooms. I took a leap of faith and just opened a door, and it led me to their back offices, which then connect to a bathroom. They gladly let me use it, but I really think businesses like coffee shops should have dedicated bathrooms for guests. Strange. Anyhow, this place is nice. I think if I lived nearby I’d try the coffee again, and I’d definitely get me some more of their baked goods. But I won’t be traveling out of my way to make a return visit.

This place is easy to drive past as you hurry off to work, but DON’T! The pastries and quiche are superb, and if you’re generous enough to share, your co-workers will be kissing up to you for a long time. The food is beautiful(I refer you to the picture of the shortbread cookie) and tastes even better. The ham/cheese quiche was delicious and the texture was perfect, not too dense or too light. The maple-bacon-date scone was absolutely amazing, as was the herb scone. I walked out with two Bee’s Knees cookies(honey and nut) and a cup of Roasterie also, and only spent $ 13. I can’t tell you about the cookies-the other family Unilocaler didn’t even save me a taste! The place is bright and airy, with a dining room on the right that would be perfect relaxing over coffee or lunch-they also do soups and sandwiches. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about what they’re serving. The French Bee-oui!

While driving to Parkville Coffeehouse I saw French Bee Bakery out of the corner of my eye, so I made several turns(all legal) back to this bakery to check it out. Even though I just carried out a few pastries, I am very excited about checking out French Bee Bakery again soon. First of all, walking in, the place is cute cute cute. The first thing you see is the black iron self-service table. The dining room is to your right and it just has a few tables(I’d say around 5 – 8 of them), while the baked goods and cash register is to your left. I really like to design of the shop. All aspects of the décor compliments each other and they mimic the design of the sign out front and their logo. The place gives the feeling of a rustic but charming French bistro or even Bouchon Bakery out in Napa. I bought a handful of pastries that were delicious. The lemon shortbread was flaky and blackberry bar was deliciousy fruity and had a wonderful, buttery crust. There was a slightly off aftertaste that I noticed from the bar, but it didn’t detract from the enjoyment of eating it. I also wasn’t a fan of the lavender on the vanilla lavender doughnut – the dried flowers were just a little too tough for me. But flavor was good. My husband and I really enjoyed the palmier-like Turtle Swirls. They also serve soups, salads, and sandwiches. I also like that they offer a carry-out box lunch option(perfect for picnics). I’m looking forward to trying a meal and enjoying the ambiance of this cute, locally-owned place.
