By far, the best bookstore in Park City. I have been going to Dolly’s since I could read, and I always leave with stacks and stacks of books and a candy apple from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate factory. The cats are the cutest, if you can find them, especially the slightly overweight Mr. Dolly. It’s my favorite place to go for birthdays and Christmas presents, and my little brother and sister will stay for hours playing with the cats and reading books in the kids section while contemplating whether they should try the craft sets. It’s not a very touristic place at all, and Dolly’s has always been a staple for the locals. Definitely my favorite place in Park City.

EVERY town should have an independent bookstore… so sad that more and more are disappearing! But, in little Park City Utah, you can still find a bookstore that carefully chooses its collection, and then goes the extra step to add cards, notebooks, tasteful souvenirs and more, to draw in a crowd. Dolly’s is worth stepping off Main Street for!

I’ve been to this book store quite a lot over the past 3 years and it’s easily one of my favorites. The atmosphere at Dolly’s is so relaxed that all you want to do is sit down and read a good book. They have everything under the sun from new to old and all of it is very well organized, but my favorite part were the little bookmarks in certain books that said«so-so employees good read» which is a nice touch. The store does have cats which some people won’t like because there a are few but I don’t mind since I love most animals. If you’re looking for a relaxed bookstore with a cats and great books then this is one for you. The selection is great but a little small when compared to other book stores. The customer service is top notch and I can’t wait to go back there again!

Dolly’s is one of the last true independent bookstores around. If you love to read and love the feel of a REAL book, then please go here and support this little shop. The employees are avid readers so they will share your passion and have knowledge that you can’t find online! I know digital books are the wave of the future but I still love to get my hands on the page… and Dolly’s is a great place to do just that. Plus, they have a cat!

A book Queen’s heaven, and there is chocolate right next door! I hang out at Dolly’s Bookstore at least once a week, this place has literary speak easy written all over it. Towards the back Dolly’s has a fantastic children’s corner with puppets, toys, and games. At the front the staff gets creative with different seasonal holiday displays, you can find cards, gifts, and most of the books on the best seller list. I was browsing some Christmas gift ideas at Dolly’s a few days ago; looking at some Civil War books for my History driven boyfriend. The bookselling sweetheart of a guy discussed with me some of my options, recommended me to a few stellar ideas, talked to me & looked books up online. I decided on a couple and then he ordered them NOT asking me to pay until they arrived in a few days. A mere TWO days pass, I get a phone call about my books arriving, I go in and have a friendly chat with the staff, pay for my books, they wrap them up in Christmas paper and off I go happy as a clam. Just such a good experience buying books! (side note: Dolly’s is such a good experience because of the people and genuine customer service, can’t feel this good buying gifts online, it’s not the same to me, just like a digital copy is to a hardcover… NOTTHESAME.) The amazing people who work here never seize to surprise me with their go-out-of-their-way nature to be of some assistance. The convo usually starts with, «Have you heard anything about this book?» I realize that’s like pointing to a person and asking, «Have you heard anything about that person?»(hearsay, magazine articles, small town gossip… the same chitter-chatter can be expelled about a book) but, in every instance that I’ve asked, and I’m not sure if it’s because they love reading as much as I do or they enjoy hearing that question a million times a day so they know how to answer, I always get a well expressed coherent response. Maybe I ask just so I can regain my faith in customer service and, well, humanity, for that matter. After leaving the college realm I find our world so full of illiterate television popping reality tv loving gossip girl craving sloppy minded junkies – what’s the last book you read? Harry Potter, eh. hum-bug. Not that I don’t love Harry Potter, I mean Twilight is worse. oh, you. read. that. too. grr. Just don’t say anything about there being fifty shades of gray… too late. Where are the like minded reading lovers of the world? In Park City you will find them at Dolly’s among the hardcovers and paperbacks.

Best shop on main street in Park City. Has great kids book section and is attached to a candy store. Great selection of local guides for hiking, fishing and history of Park City, plus great selections of books. They have something for everyone. They do a great job of packing in so many different books and well organized. Glad the Kindle and IPad hasn’t put this cute little shop out of business. Stop in and buy a book or card and support the little guy.

Need a book while on vacation in the mountains? Dolly’s is a great bookstore in the center of Main Street in Park City. You can find every genre of book here and they have a great selection of children’s books too. It’s a very well organized, clean, and spacious store. It shares a door to a chocolate shop next door and, oh my gosh, it smells so wonderful! The staff was very friendly too.

Fun little place, out of the way, in back of the chocolate store. By the way, Dolly is the cat, who is the store icon, not the owner. Unless of course you figure the cat is the owner, then… well, we could go on and on. Found myself getting a book by Richard Castle, «Naked Heat.» I don’t usually get hard bound copies, but who could resist a book by a writer with his own TV show!

What can I say that has not already been said? It is exactly as everyone else has told you: charming, small bookstore, great staff, well organized, etc. They have a wide selection of books for the size of the store as well as some unique gift items, cards, bags, and wrapping paper. If I were a local I would purchase all of my books here.

Had some time to kill on a recent trip to Park City and stumbled around town looking for a bookstore. Luckily for me and my friends, we came across Dolly’s Book Store. It’s a very charming small town bookstore. While it doesn’t have the selection of much larger stores, it’s quite adequate if you don’t have a particular book you’re looking for and are just browsing. My friend ended up sitting down in the back for almost three hours reading Twilight and I found myself a nice book for the plane ride home.

While Dolly’s doesn’t always have every book you’re looking for, they have a DAMN good selection with a lot of local and unique authors in many different genres. I’ve been able to find a lot of good classic fiction and great cookbooks here. And if they don’t have what you’re looking for, they are more than happy to order books for you at no extra cost to you. A great alternative to Barnes & Noble(skip the drive to Salt Lake and support your local businesses!!!).

This book store is conveniently located behind Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory so get yourself a piece of yummy chocolate and head on back… Whenever I shop at independent bookstores like this one I wonder why I ever spend money at the Borders and Barnes & Nobles of the world… can’t beat the charm of this place. And the service! While browsing for a book for myself I watched one of the sales associates help a 14 yr old girl find a book that was right for her. I had no trouble finding books for myself, but I do have one little complain for Miss Dolly… a bigger chick lit section please for us gals who just want something light while on vacation.

Very cute lil neighborhood bookstore… selling all sorts of trinkets and books/magazines. Lovely Valentine’s Day card on sale and lots of nice Park City postcards.
