After spending the previous day at Temple Square and a long visit afterward with my friend’s mom who insisted on showing us her Mormon Temple photography guide, I needed a break from the Mormonbilia. Walking in Park City I spied Quan Yin in the window of Expanding Heart across the street and made a run for it!
One step in the door and the sweet fragrance of lavender and Nag Champa called me home. Crystals, metaphysical books, cards, attire and all manner of gifts are displayed artfully. Also there is a strict no-​cellphone rule which I absolutely ADORE but my constantly scrolling hubby Chun P. found extremely challenging. (Note — I need to try this at home!)
Picked up some crystal tonics, small rose quartz and amethyst quartz hearts as gifts. They also have a guide doing Intuitive Readings at the back. If I didn’t have the fellas in tow, I would have taken the time to have one!
Wonderful staff, beautiful selection and cell phone free shopping make Expanding Heart the perfect refuge after a busy day.

The energy in this store is amazing. They have a great selection of books, many are by local authors. I come here every time I’m in Park City and I need to get centered. They offer readings sometimes so if your into that sort of thing check it out.

I was in there for 5 minutes, and bought a sage stick but the owner was LOVELY. She was very helpful. For people that weren’t interested in spending a lot of time in there (had to get home) it seemed like a lovely shop.
