Avoid this creepy place! It says it is a Motel 6 but it doesn’t even live up to those dubious standards. Five or six young guys in the parking lot all the time. I was a single woman with a couple of show dogs. I usually stay at much nicer La Quinta which welcomes my dogs — and is actually clean — but it was booked by other people attending a prestigious dog event in Paris Texas. I have a nice vehicle. My dogs are clean and quiet and probably a cut above many guests of cheap motels. These men In the lot would shadow me wherever I went, while walking dogs or getting bags from my car, skulking around. They asked what room I was in. As the evening progressed more and more people gathered in the parking lot. These were clearly the owners/managers family. Little kids were running around and screaming outside the office right below our room until about 10:00pm. When I went out to leave I was told my credit card had been declined and they called me in to run it again. Then I was«detained» and lectured for ten minutes while they searched the room for damage. Tonight I am in a lovely Motel 6 in Amarillo where my well-traveled dogs and I were welcomed. There isn’t a gang of suspicious young guys patrolling the parking lot and harassing women. I don’t know how the owners of the«Victorian Inn/fake Motel 6» expects to encourage customers by treating people like criminals and providing a fairly grubby and uncomfortable experience. Maybe the army of parking lot guards should clean or repair the rooms instead… UPDATE: These crooks charged an extra 75.00 with no authorization!!! I wish I could give zero stars!!!

Room was 58 after tax. Close to freeway. Front desk staff was pleasant. That’s where the good ends. Stained carpet, holes in sheets, stuff was dusty, coffee maker was gross, tiny shampoo and soap packets were useless, cable was static riddled, no cover on bath light fixture, non smoking room but smelled like an ashtray, continental breakfast was the worst I have seen with no coffee or water only orange drink, black bananas, and wal mart brand waffles and syrup in a minifridge. Pillows were tiny, towels were tiny, no vending machines available, nothing within walking distance, key card reader was intermittent on room door, and there was a cricket in my room. You get what you pay for.
