Freddy’s is a delicious restaurant. It’s got the feel of a classic diner. I’m new to the review game so I’ll put the pros vs. the cons. Pros: * Delicious burgers * Great service * Pretty darn fast * Fries are pretty good * Fantastic frozen custard * Good music* * Friendly employees Cons: * French fry seasoning is basic and tastes like ordinary Laurie’s seasoning(or Old Bay seasoning depending on location) yet they have the gall to sell it at almost double the price under their own label. This was just enough to keep them from getting that fifth star. * — Opinion based and doesn’t affect my rating of this business.

For a Freddy’s fast food chain, this location was efficient and everyone was so friendly. They constantly have someone cleaning up the tables which is noticed and appreciated by me. They were training someone on the register when I ordered so she was sweet and certainly knowledgeable for a noob — it was nice to see her trainer was patient with her and not micromanaging. Although fast food, the quality here is always consistent in my experience, so you always know what you’re getting.

Such great custard here! They even gave us comp cards for the long wait, which was very nice of them because we didn’t think we were waiting at all especially since we stopped by during lunch rush.

Freddy’s is the place where diets come to die. Steakburgers, custard, hotdogs, shoestring french fries(with a most glorious seasoning), and of course«fry sauce». It’s a top notch fast food place. The dirt and worms sundae is one of my favorite guilty pleasures… NOM!

Marcus at the front counter had some of the best fast food customer service I’ve experienced — keep him around. Food is okay, expensive. A single patty is never enough, you have to get the double.

My family and I have been here many times and have never been disappointed. The burgers, hotdogs and fries are all great(especially the fries, which are super thin and crispy and even better with the fry sauce.) The custard is fantastic(so smoooooth) and they offer delicious sundae options. The service is always good and the menu is priced fairly.

Good option if you are in a hurry. The food is always fresh. The employees are friendly and seem to be very conscientious of the customers especially compared to the competition.

Every time I’m pass by Shadow Lake Town Center I always get excited to see Freddy’s, even though I’ve never been inside it. I think it’s cause of the unique retro look it has. I finally got to try out Freddy’s. I was pretty excited even ordering something, you can ask the cashier when I asked for a sample of their famous frozen custard. I don’t know what it was but it was pretty delicious. I would describe custard kind of like a mixture of pudding and ice cream. The steak burgers are savory and well cooked. They taste really good with melted cheese, mustard, and pickles(I’m not a big fan but man it tasted yummy)!! Overall it was a pretty fantastic time!

We went to Freddys steak burgers burgers were great tasty and cooked well but the fries are awful little sticks tiny tiny sticks and the onion rings were awful you can buy better at the grocery store and make them at home. The pumpkin concrete was great! We used the drive thru which took forever! We won’t be a regular!

So the thing that always kills a review is the customer service. The burgers are great here and the fries are good as well. However, it seems like management is nonexistent here. The few times we’ve braved coming inside we get ignored by the front counter teenager and once they do acknowledge us, it’s like we’re an inconvenience to their hangout time. So I think corporate needs to come on down for a surprise visit and roll some leadership heads.

So good! The burgers are comparable to Culver’s, but way better. You want the double steakburger with cheese and bacon! The fries are amazing as well. They’re little tiny crispy ones. Take a while to eat because you get a million of them, but they’re amazing. Go heavy on the Freddy’s seasoning!

Meh. Not impressed with this place. The fries are like crunchy twigs, the burgers taste very mediocre, and the drive thru wait was pretty long. Once was enough. I won’t be visiting another one of these again.

Great food here. My favorite ice cream place in town. It is custard but it is as great as Dairy Queen Ice cream if not better. The staff is top notch and so is the food.

I don’t usually eat fast food but I make an exception for Freddy’s, as I feel their quality is higher than what I would consider«fast food.» I really love their Chicago Dog! While it isn’t as good as what you actually get in Chicago, it is one of the closer imitations I have had outside Chicago. I also love their french fries. They are very skinny, shoe-string fries and are crispy and delicious. They have great frozen custard options, as well. The one thing I am not a fan of is their burgers. They are really small and generally pretty average. I would skip the burgers and go for a hot dog option instead.

The veggie burgers are full of beans and corn and everything nice, and they top it with fry sauce(which is probably just mayo and ketchup mixed together). It’s probably the best fast food veggie burger I’ve had. The fries are the thin, shoe-string variety and they’ll top it with cheese sauce if you ask nicely. I haven’t tried the hot dogs, but they look good and come out with a nice sear. The people who work there are very friendly. It’s a bit expensive for fast food; when I take the two rugrats there, we come in at just under $ 20 for my food and two kids’ meals.

I liked their burgers, but the meat while decently seasoned is a pretty thin patty. Had mine California style which is lettuce, tomato, onions and thousand island dressing. Also had their onion rings. They are nice and crispy and when you bite them the onion breaks off just right instead of having a stringy mess. Overall the food that I have tried is good. Will have to try their frozen custard when it warms up a bit.

This reminded me of Steak and Shake, only not quite as good. And, I’m really not a fan of Steak and Shake. They offer burgers, charred and small. You can get them as singles, doubles or triples. They also have hot dogs on the menu. I had a double hamburger and fries. Sorry to others that rank this high, but I would not say it was one of the best I’ve had. The fries made the difference — they were very thin, crisp on the outside and moist on the inside. They also tasted as if they were made in fresh oil, something I can’t always say when I go to fast food restaurants. That’s about it.

I’m giving this place 3 stars because after all it’s fast food, however on a strictly fast food scale this place would be a 5 star easily in my opinion. I never thought that I would actually Unilocal a fast food joint but I have to say I wanna give this place some love. Best Chicago dog I have ever had and the onion rings are delicious. And since I’m a Kansas guy I was pleased to hear that Freddy’s roots are in Wichita with the likes of a few other restaurants I’m sure you’ve heard of I.e. White Castle, Pizza Hut. Looking forward to trying other menu items.

Freddy’s is a top-notch fast casual restaurant. It reminds me of a Culver’s-Bronco’s hybrid. The burgers are thin but tasty. They dress them like Broncos with mustard, pickles, and onions but no ketchup(they do have packets available). they come on a butter toasted bun. My wife enjoyed her burger. I, on the other hand, had a patty melt with a side of thousand island sauce. It was just as tasty and as a double, it was just the right size. I also enjoyed the very thinly cut french fries. Now I learn that a Freddy’s is opening nearby where I live on 168th and Maple. It will be a nice to have another quality burger option in Northwest Omaha(the other being Culver’s).

Steakburgers? Sounds good to me. I’d really go with 3.5 stars on this place. Always looking for a better burger, the fam went out to check out the all-new Freddy’s. First impression? The place was packed. Good sign. Atmosphere? Dig it. Old school burger joint feel with great big ol’ booths and retro tables… And no TVs blaring away! I had the California Burger combo because, as a Los Angeles transplant, I wanted to see how Freddy’s take on the famed In-N-Out burger would compare. Well, it didn’t, but I’m INCREDIBLY biased. Still, though, the burger was very tasty. I substituted onion for some crisp pickles and my only critique of the burger was the sauce. I could hardly taste it. Not enough tang to it like In-N-Out has. And the fries? I love thin, crispy fries. McDonald’s have to be my favorite, followed by In-N-Out…and Freddy’s were right up there in contention. Well seasoned with salt and I think a bit of pepper. Crisp and perfectly cooked. These would actually go really well with some mayo or mayo-based dipping sauces(like the spread they put on their California burger). Mmmmm. Prices, I think, are pretty good for what you get. Very affordable for a slightly upscale burger joint… probably why this place was packed. Folks watching their wallets can get a fancier fast food meal and a nice night out without the sadness that accompanies a trip to a Burger King or a McDonald’s in Council Bluffs. Definitely worth it at Freddy’s. Next time I’ll have to try the frozen custard. Oh…and their Chicago style hot dogs? Definitely a few things missing from the authentic, Chicago version(from what I noticed on the picture on the menu).
