I have been to Zachary’s a lot of times. I started going to the restaurant when they first opened up on Harrison Ave. I have had a lot of superb meals there. However, since they have moved to their new location I haven’t enjoyed my dining experience as much. The food is still good, but the ambiance in non-existant. The place feels cluttered, and not in a quaint way. The last time I went(a Wednesday night) they had a jazz night going on in the back room. In the bar area there was an AWFUL cover band playing. In the restaurant area I could hear both the jazz band in the back room and the awful cover band in the bar. It was most unpleasant. I would highly suggest going for lunch or on a night that they don’t have any specialty music. The Shrimp Po Boy is phenomenal… as is the lobster BLT and the Beef and Bleu sandwich. The steaks are pretty wonderful as well.

Highly recommend! Discovered this little place downtown and loved it so much that we had our corporate Christmas party there in the back room. Old heads may recall that is location was the original Green House Restaurant on Grace Ave. Karen and Cody have created a menu and venue for folks who want a good meal with a little flair for a good price. Diversified wine list and full bar. Plenty of parking. Usually a jazz musician or two in the bar. Busy last night before«Spamalot» at the Marina Civic Center

Zachary’s is a delightful discovery in downtown Panama City. A great spot for dinner: small dining area but high quality food, service, and reasonable prices. The dinner choices are mainly meat and seafood, carefully prepared in a new-American style, but not the least bit pretentious. Highly recommended.
