Half Baked Oyster Bar & Grill

Soft shell crab cooked perfectly & hand cut fries were awesome! Service is top shelf. Allison is very attentive & made me feel at home. Don’t pass this little place up.

Recommended by our tour guide. He said cheap and good. Wasn’t cheap. Wasn’t that good. But staff was quite friendly and helpful. I ordered the shrimp and grits. Good with the hot sauces and my kid’s salty fries. Hubby got fried soft shell crab. Quite disappointed in the old oil flavor. Tasted stale and old from bad oil. 1 kids got a hamburger and was quite satisfied, looked tasty. Other kids are GF and kids menu is only popcorn shrimp. So waitress suggested a shrimp plate so each kid got 5 shrimps a piece, coleslaw container and took some fries off Dad and kid1 plate. We managed to fill everyone up.

Been here an hour and no dinner yet. Got appetizers relatively quickly but no dinner. Not impressed.

Solid food. Good, fresh oysters. Small mom and pop place with a great atmosphere and very attentive and friendly wait staff. Fully enjoyable experience.

Have eaten here several times when we’ve been to PCB. First time I got the shrimp tacos… they we so excellent that I order the same thing every time! Loaded with shrimp, perfectly seasoned! My husband always gets oysters, sometimes baked, sometimes raw… but always delicious be says. Planning on going tonite for dinner. Would recommend Half-​Baked Oyster Bar!

Fantastic Seafood!!! Captain’s platter was to die for. Beats the high priced restaurants hands down!!! Great prices too. Definately has that Mom and Pop feel and ambiance. Great food and service. AAAA++++

Driving through the area seen in the rustic spot. Stop took advantage of the all-​you-​can-​eat shrimp special they had very good steamed in hand breaded shrimp along with fresh-​cut french fries. Also the $ 1.50 draft special not bad!

This spot proves the saying «do not judge a book by its cover». My family and I came here because the spot we usually go to was closed. Honestly, I was a little worried from how the restaurant looked outside; the building was really small.
We were greeted as soon as we stepped in and was told to sit wherever we liked. We dined in around 4pm on a Sunday and the place wasn’t very busy. The place was clean and the table was not sticky.
Now, let me point out that their blue crab claws were so tasty (we ordered them grilled). Everyone was starving at our table so we all ordered the all you can eat shrimp platter. You have the options to have them grilled, blackened, and/​or fried. We tried them all and enjoyed them very much.
Our waitress, Jessica, did a wonderful job. She was quick and friendly. My expectations for this place was pretty low before I entered the establishment. I have to say I was blown away by the service, food, and cleanliness. I will be coming back whenever I am back in town.

The service is mediocre, but for the first time ever I’ve had really bad oysters. I can truly say I did not enjoy it. The oysters were not cleaned well so dirty got inside of them. I ate two and was still charged for the entire half dozen.
The fried green tomatoes were pretty good, but not good enough to give another star though. I should have known that an oyster bar without a physical oyster bar would be awful. They should change their name.

The worst gumbo (if you can even call it that) we’ve ever had. Served in a very shallow bowl with tons of canned tomatoes, very little seafood with shrimp the size of a fingernail, completely lacked the deep roux flavor that gumbo is known for it had mostly tomato juice. While we waited for our food we can hear beeps of the microwave and door opening and closing. Had to send it back right away. Definitely do not recommend.

The wait for someone to approach our table to take our drink order was 10 minutes. The time to get the oyster sampler after ordering was 30 minutes. The Parmesan cheese on the Rockefeller’s was the powdered kind I normally put on my frozen pizza at home. The seasonings were bland on the oysters.
However, the gumbo though a little small for an entrée size was very good and my son and husband enjoyed their fried shrimp dinner though my husbands was supposed to be grilled. The waitress apologized and gave him a free beer and all three of us desserts for the wait. Service is not the issue but the kitchen needs help. A locals place.

Went to the Sea Dragon cruise with the family and wanted a quick dinner. Stopped in here and we were very impressed! The food was great and our waitress, Allison was AMAZING with our kids!

We called ahead and asked if there was a wait. They said there was no wait so we headed over. Ordered our food and waited a little under an hour for it to start coming out.
I had the dozen raw oysters. Though they were fresh, they were small and not worth the price. I also ordered the oyster stew but it was so bland. It was a very watery texture and had nearly no taste to it. Just water and butter.
My sister ordered the shrimp kids meal and it had two fried shrimp and fries. Not very filling.
Disappointed because I saw that this restaurant had good reviews but the food was not worth it. The staff were sweet though. We had a large group and they gave us cheesecake on the house.

The oysters were way too small but very good. The oyster po’boy came without any mayonnaise on it. The French fries were awesome (no ketchup or ranch needed). The service was very slow but our waitress was nice.

Scotty ‘O and Da Bruce kept us laughing at the oyster bar. Great tasting oysters and wonderful beach atmosphere.

Fried green tomatoes were delish. However it took almost an hour for our food to come. Server was friendly though.

This place is the real deal… 75 cent drafts… some of the best oysters in PCB, and a guy whos been shucking for 25+ years. Good to call PCB home

This is the only place in the County I would go to get raw oysters. Go see Scotty O national shucking championship and the best baked oysters in the south

Just had a dozen oysters and a oyster poboy. I only stopped eating cause my stomach was too full. Nice people, great service, and they also staff a oyster chucking champion.
