The service and food is consistent! The roasted chicken is only $ 10 and has this oh so yummy and flavorful seasoning on it. The flavor is close to a chicken maison, Mediterranean like, but better. We’ve tried some of their deli sides and those go so quick when we bring them to a party! People were fighting over the last bite of the bowtie pasta. Im pretty picky with my pasta and I wanted to horde it to myself. It is really casual, you order your food, sit in the plain tables inside or out, and the service is casual too. Ive never been treated rude and Ive been countless times. I recommend this place when people are visiting PV and bike riders frequently visit this stop on their long rides along the coast.

This place is beyond suspect. Let’s just talk about these sandwiches – how do these people get by making«sandwiches» that have 1 single slice of turkey on them??? Sandwich was: 1 piece of lettuce, 1 tomato, a couple crumbs of a piece of bacon, 1 slice of turkey crumbled up to look like more, and one slice of cheese melted. Highway robbery. That’s just not right, I am sorry. Put more meat on your«sandwiches» or stop selling sandwiches. Real sandwiches have meat on them. Joke. And the miserable, puss faced middle aged woman serving up the sandwiches? Grabbed the receipt out of my hand abruptly and rudely and threw my stuff in the bag and pushed it toward me. Extra extra rude people running this place(seems to be the owners). Terrible customer service. I will never ever ever come back. Ever. Ever.

I love this place. The family who owns and works there are great. Really nice people. The food is great also. All the salads in the deli are excellent. My kids love the homemade banana bread and all the desserts are awesome. Especially the bread pudding.

Great deli and market! Stopped here for lunch after a nice hike at Abalone Cove Shoreline Park. We’ll definitely be back when we go on hikes there, great place.

This charming eatery has amazing service and when you come here you feel like family! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is great. I love coming here for a cup of hot coffee and breakfast every morning. Every time I am greeted by friendly staff. There is plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, as well as bar seating! The bar serves great beer on tap and also glasses of wine. This place is truly a Palos Verdes gem and I come here whenever I am in the area. I personally recommend the Big Ranch breakfast burrito! It’s delicious!

I always drive past the plaza that this market is located in. My boyfriend lives literally up the street. However, my boyfriend, in all the years that he’s lived in PV, has never been to this market. I was like what??? You’re crazy! So today, I finally got to drag his butt over there so we could try some of their bomb sandwiches that I’ve read about on Unilocal. This place is the meet up spot for all the hikers, walkers, bikers of PV on Sunday morning. Both inside and outside of the market was buzzing with people getting their Sunday brunch in. I love the vibe of this place! My boyfriend and I scanned the menu for a couple minutes. They have a breakfast menu as well as a deli menu which includes sandwiches, pastas, pizzas, burgers and salads. I decided to go with the grilled chicken sub and my boyfriend ordered the reuben sub. The lady who helped us was so nice and helpful. She definitely made our first visit feel very welcoming. There’s also a small section of grocery items, snacks and liquor in the market. I’m not too such on the prices since I didn’t buy anything else except for our sandwiches and a bag of chips. Our sandwiches were amazing and we are looking forward to coming back to try out some of the other items on their menu! I think I’ve found a new go-to spot for my boyfriend. I can’t believe he’s never been here and he’s lived down the street for many many years!

Laughing at the suggestion of another reviewer that my positive feedback is based on my relationship with the owners rather than my experience. Laughing and insulted since I have no family/friend relationship with these folks, just a happy customer who knows a good thing when she tastes it! Check out my other reviews and you’ll see that I tell it like it is. Just went back to Malaga Cove Ranch Market over the holidays while I was visiting PV from Silicon Valley(had to move for work). I had a yummy Thai Chicken Noodle Salad and bought some specialty items that I can’t find at Safeway. Also picked up a nice bottle of wine for close to the same price as BevMo. And instead of being treated like some anonymous customer who is interrupting the staff’s conversation like I am at most big-box stores, I was warmly welcomed, offerred help selecting the wine, and wished a Merry Christmas twice! Love that small town feel and to see a small business succeed in a world where each city is starting to look the same as big corporations gobble up our storefronts. I’ll be back for sure the next time I’m in town! Viva la difference!

Thank you Karen!!! Thank you Malaga Cove Ranch Market for making the best, hugely successful cheese and fruit plates for my CBYC Bookclub. Last night our Bookclub was absolutely overwhelmed by the beauty, creativity, taste and gorgeous assortments of cheeses, fruits and crackers. To say the six 10″ cheese & fruit plates you created were perfect and a hit is not saying enough. I wish I had recorded everyone’s reaction when they first saw your artistic display of cheeses and fruits and the enjoyment they experienced as they tasted and ate & ate everything. Thank you, thank you, thank you Karen and Nurses and Noona and everyone that helped rescue me and made the December Bookclub meeting at CBYC one of the most memorable and beautiful!!! Love to you all, Susan Kettel and George Kettel

As a well know Realtor in the PV and Beach Cities, and well known for the food I serve at my Broker’s Open Houses, I often go to this great little local market. Their carbonara is a winner every time! The hungry Realtors love me! Thank you MCRM!

Unpleasant owners — particularly the man. He thought I didn’t pay and ran after me when, in fact, I paid his wife.

The Ranch Market is one of those special local places where the regulars hang out and with good reason. Fresh scones and pastries made every morning. If you feel like you need more of a full-on American bacon and eggs breakfast, you can get that as well. They even offer a healthy breakfast burrito with avocado. You want a cup of Joe, not a problem. Latte? Cappuccino? Chai? The Ranch Market has it. Lunch is pretty busy, so be sure to call your order in and then just pick up. Catering needs? They won’t let you down. I even had a girls night there not that long ago. We enjoyed some fine wine at the classy corner wine bar. Don’t get me started on the deserts, that Karen really knows what she is doing. This is a wonderful mom and pop market run by a wonderful mom and pop, who also know everyone by name. I can only say good things! We are really lucky to have this place in our neighborhood.

The awesome rating here is misleading as I had experienced on my first and last visit. The location itself is beautiful. And when you walk in there’s a market and deli with seating areas. It had that warm small town feel until…, you go put in your order. They were not friendly at all. That warm feeling I had when I walked in evaporated and it felt like I was in a cold, dark cafeteria where the lunch ladies hate their job and the people they are serving. But I was already here, the rating was good so I ordered despite the fact hoping the rest of my time here waiting for order and the food will win me over. I ordered a bagel sandwich, which was yummy but I still felt uneasy there. So I got some napkins to go eat outside on the patio. As I started to walk outside I see this elderly lady with her granddaughter, perhaps, ask for help. When the lady taking orders told another lady to help her. That other lady came and said«what is it?» angrily. The nice elderly lady was asking if they can help her use the microwave because she had trouble reading the buttons. The rude employee asked her what she wanted to warm up, threw it in the microwave and said«see! It works! It’s not broken!» And it walked away. The elderly lady looked down at her granddaughter and said«I never said it was broken» sadly and probably shocked by the rudeness of that employee. It absolutely broke my heart to witness how that lady was treated when she was just ASKING for help! I will NEVER set foot in that door again! Which is unfortunate since I am in the area often for work. After reading other reviews it’s obvious they have their favorite locals and is less welcoming to others. Their bagel is yummy but not super yummy. I haven’t and will not be back to try their other food, their service already have me sick to my stomach.

Review is based solely for the Turkey wrap. I heard about this place longggg time ago when I was going to school at PV High, but I never got a chance to try it out. Fortunately, I was on my way to PV Beach(which is a 3 minute drive) and was looking for something quick to eat. This place is located in the Malaga cove plaza. If you see the triton statue, you’re in the right place. It’s located in the grocery store, and in the back they have the deli, and on another side they have a café where I saw people getting some work done. As for the deli food. Bang for your buck? Yes. They have huge portions! Food quality? It’s okay. It’s honestly not that great, but it wasn’t bad. It was funny because I was looking at the beers thinking maybe I’d get one. And the manager was staring at me for a good 2 minutes before asking me in an accent,” Can you drink beer?” «Allowed to drink beer?» «You have ID?» I guess, my Asian genes are working! ;D

My friend brought me to this little market/café place this past Sunday to grab brunch and I didn’t know such a little gem existed. The place isn’t fancy, but great to stop by to grab some food and unique grocery items. It reminds me of some of the grocery stores that I’ve been to when travelling in Europe because they have a lot of snacks and grocery items that I typically found in a grocery store abroad. They also have a mini café inside the grocery store with both indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered a build-your-own type omelette and I thought it was fairly good. They definitely use better ingredients than some of the other breakfast places that I have been to. It is priced a little bit higher than expected at $ 8~$ 12 a menu item, which I thought was a little high for a place that isn’t a restaurant, but still worth it if you need to grab something quick or are in the area.

Unilocalers really hyped the breakfast burrito here. I’m a breakfast burrito connoisseur and I can attest that this place is pretty average when it comes to breakfast burritos(what do you expect from Palos Verdes, anyways?) This isn’t exactly East LA, folks. It’s a very cute little market with lots of staples. Good selection of wines and vegetable staples. The deli and pastries look great and it’s fun to hang out and watch the cyclists and peoples of RPV. They also have a cute little bar to sit here and have a glass of wine or beer. All in all, it’s a cute little place for a quick bite, but the breakfast burrito wasn’t really memorable.

I can’t believe, after living in Palos Verdes for more than 10 years, that I just found out about this place! Kind of hidden in this cute plaza, this market is surprisingly really good and a local favorite in the area! When I first went in(parking can be tough to find as there’s a lot of guests in this plaza), I was pleasantly surprised how big the market was! About a good 1⁄3 of the market is an actual market while the deli/eating area is about a good 2⁄3! The deli has great variety! They have awesome breakfast sandwiches(didn’t get one but I will next time), cold-cut and hot sandwiches, pastas, Mexican food, salads, desserts, etc. And everything looks so fresh and good here! I got the grilled chicken sandwich, which was phenomenal! My chicken was moist, and there was so many veggies, grilled peppers, grilled mushrooms in my sandwich. Along with some light mustard and French mayo… perfection indeed. I thought the price of $ 8 wasn’t bad for this as well as they gave me a pretty large portion. Service is great here as everyone is so nice! From the cashier to the man cutting the cold-cut meat… everyone is super happy and very friendly! The residents in this market are great as well. I would highly recommend this market to all to at least go to one time, especially if you live in the area! There’s a lot of cute places and plazas throughout Palos Verdes, and this is one of the best, I have to say! Additionally, there’s a lot of cute stores around in the plaza and a Yellow Vase right next door!
