Saw some improve here. Nice facility. It’s located in a wooded area in Orland Park with several other park district attractions in a sort of campus of public services. The building has a nice architecture to it, and is comfortable to be in.

A Welcoming Home for the Arts McCord is an arts and music center that has something for everyone young and old. They try very hard to present interesting special programs throughout the year like the Christmas Boutique, Civil War exhibits, Victorian Tea and annual fundraiser which is always a fun night. The art classes are taught by qualified instructors and the private music instruction fills a niche in the area. Order a brochure or go online and get involved as it will enrich your life. They need more space but an addition is in the plans.

5 stars to McCord Gallery for bringing a touch of class to the south suburbs! When they opened, this art center had a great idea to bring in pro designers to decorate the space in high style in return for promotion for the designers. This lovely old farm house with original eyebrow windows has been transformed to a showplace of traditional and elegant style, which suits the classic style of the art presented. McCord hosts rotating exhibitions, art and music classes and special events which celebrate the arts. The annual Holiday Boutique specializes in works by local artists, jewelry, crafts, hand knits and paintings. Join the center to stay updated about events. McCord is doing so well, they will soon be expanding with an addition. Keep an eye on McCord and do support it with your membership! Nothing like it anywhere in the metro area.

This gallery has a great feel to it. It’s very quaint, yet professional. The house itself has a long history and was last owned by the McCord family, making this building filled with art and history. The gallery owner was nice enough to tell us the entire history and give us a tour of the building, which also has rooms for art and music instruction. A great little place to stop and see some art along the way!
