We had a fabulous meal and great service. I had the Chilean Seabass and my husband had the Ribeye along with coconut rice and asparagus. Everything was delicious. Oh — I did request no garlic or pineapple in the rice just because I don’t eat fruit with my meal or garlic — the rice was still very flavorful –The crispy coconut really added to the rice experience! Would highly recommend dining here.

We arrived at a time that it’s not very busy, a few people sit outside, but it’s almost empty inside. We sitted there for more than 10 minutes without a server, no drinks at all. I told a server walking by our table that we were ready to order, he said oir server were coming, and another 5 boring minutes, nothing happened. Then we got up and walked towards the exit, when I told the receptionist the reason that we were leaving, she said nothing. Management of this restaurant needs serious improvement.

The food there is good, but a little bit expensive. One wonton soup for $ 8 has only 4 wonton in it. Sea bass cooks it right. The environment is nice, service is also good. I saw standing board outside saying it has noodle soup and sushi, but when I asked the waitress, not in the menu, strange.

Well. Firstly the bartender had the approach of a doorknob. I ordered my meal, and a glass of wine. Both arrived in a timely manner. I asked for my bill as I was in a hurry to finish shopping right after a quick lunch. He came to ask me once how it was and it needed more spice. Anyway. I spilled my glass of wine. All over the bar.(And the manager)…neither one came to clean up, or offer an additional sip understanding that the glass was $ 16.00 nor did they offer water to quench my thirst. Needless to say I removed the tab where I had added a generous gratuity, for the copy with nothing in the tip section, and proceeded to give him a small cash token. Do yourselves a favor. Don’t eat here. Oh about the ambiance, there is none.

With so many other choices for Happy Hour in Palo Alto… This one doesn’t make the cut… the food was just average. The service was good and in the mall but again with so many choices in Palo Alto it’s just average

Slow roasted honey pork? You should just call it chinese BBQ pork slices! And yes, $ 10 dollar lunch special was a steal! But with 3 thinly slices of BBQ pork, did I just ordered a kid’s meal? Bump the price up for 6 slices please! And change your menu description to chinese BBQ. Wanted to rate zero star, Unilocal wouldn’t let me!

Average tasting«Asian food». Large menu, so maybe I haven’t ordered the right dishes yet. We go there from time to time, mainly because we get hungry when we are at Stanford Mall and just want a sit down place. I can’t find anything wrong or not fresh with the food. Just that the taste was… average. At least service was usually pretty decent.

The lunch special is a fantastic deal snd comes really quick. There is always a table open as well. I’ve been here with my staff of 5 about 10 times now for lunch and have never had to wait for a table. The food is really well made and we have never had a problem. I definitely recommend this place.

I liked their happy hour. Enjoyed the cocktails for $ 6. The dim sum is excellent at cocktail hour but very expensive… as in $ 8 for 2 small wrapped tea leaf sticky rice dim sum pieces. But were they good? Yes. Dim Sum is hard to find in this area so perhaps if your craving is intense you might actually need to visit Yucca de Lac. It’s a nice place to meet after work for a cocktail and conversation.

I ordered the garlic noodles with chicken for $ 16. The noodles tasted okay but it was too oily. I’ve tried their real crab meat sushi, taste good with fair price.

First… you must understand about this area and the other reviews. This is an area of the country where people feel profoundly and abusively entitled. The most unpleasant experience about eating here is the snotty mentality of some of the customers. You just have to endure it. It really must be hell to work around this mentality every day. I know it is unpleasant to live around… and we have been here some years now. We actually thought this was a a Yucatan themed restaurant. So, we had to adjust a little once we got in. :) The lunch price was extremely reasonable. The tofu was the best ever. We ASKED for no salt and we got no salt. THIS was a really plus and we are going back again since this is almost impossible to get other places. This place reminded us of a much more expensive Vietnamese place in Mt. View. This was a really enjoyable lunch that was totally unexpected. The price was completely acceptable. The tea and crab rolls were out of this world. The presentation was wonderful. The portions were very acceptable and we took half home. Some people are complaining about the food being«tasteless.» If you are looking for the goo at other asian places with loaded salt etc… then this is not it. This place serves organic vegetables and very little junk added. Everything was cooked to perfection. The vegetables and tofu was really the best I have had. There were lots of little children in buggies outside, but they were all nicely behaved. The only thing we didn’t enjoy was the obvious snobbery of other customers, but that isn’t the facilities fault. We are certainly going back.

I have had dinner here a few times, but I’m done with this place. Maybe it’s better for lunch. The food is actually pretty good, but the atmosphere and service is so bad, the high prices cannot be justified. It seems like a bunch of teenagers run the place. At dinner it’s usually pretty dead anyway, I’m not sure how they make any money. Last time I was there the servers are bussers were arguing and yelling at each other about all the«mistakes they were making» in clear ear shot of customers. Then the hostess and servers were literally counting down the minutes until the place closed. They should just permanently close. The interior is just tired looking. I have the impression that the owners have given up. The atmosphere can only be described as sad.

COMEFORLUNCH! Lunch rice plates with salad are $ 9-$ 13 dollars until 3pm! This is a great place for business lunches. I saw that this place had a rating of 2.5 stars(based on Unilocal’s algorithm) and I was shocked as I was pleasantly surprised with my experience, one year ago. Before my cousin, from Hong Kong, dragged me here, I was turned offed by the Dinner prices. BUT the lunch prices and portions are good and even better than CPK, across the way, where you could pay $ 15 for a salad! I think I had the sesame chicken lunch which comes with rice, chicken, and salad. It was really good. Everyone in my party enjoyed what they ordered as well(salmon rice plate, garlic noodles, etc.) The service was a little on the slow side but, satisfactory because it was empty. We sat on the patio outside and enjoyed the people watching. I would definitely come back here for lunch and happy hour. I feel bad that they have such a poor rating and would encourage any of my friends to stop by for lunch.

Weird. I actually like this restaurant. I don’t know why this is only 2.5 star though. Maybe people have been ordering the wrong food or I have been really lucky? Anyways, I have been there twice. Both times, I ordered the same food because they are just sooo good! I highly recommend these 2 options. 1) Garlic Noodles with Duck(Yummy!!!) $ 18 2) Seared Ahi Tuna with Mango Salads(Baby Arugula and Mango is such a great combination. I usually don’t like Arugula, but I really like this salad. The dressing is pretty good too.) $ 18 Again, I could be biased but these two are pretty good! Hope you guys like it too!

My friends and I passed by this place as we were shopping, and from the outside looking in, it looks like a cute, trendy restaurant. Upon entering, we sat by the bar. It took a really long time for the server to come over, but once he did, he was really nice and friendly. I ended up ordering the Evolve wine which was pretty good if you enjoy fruity notes in your wine. We also decided to order the Samosas to share for the table. I believe they must have been inspired by Chinese cuisine as they were not your typical Indian Samosas. The crust was more like the crust used in traditional egg rolls. The Samosas were incredibly greasy. I was stunned that when they came out they were literally dripping with oil. In my opinion, they were in an unacceptable state to be served to a customer. I’m hoping that this was a one-time thing and they don’t normally serve food that greasy.

I’m not sure why this place has such bad reviews? I came here for lunch over the weekend and it was a pleasant experience. The food was good, servers were attentive, and it was quick and easy. The food was pretty good considering that it’s Asian fusion. The scallops with the salad were super yummy! I came here again for dinner not too long after my first visit, and ordered the chicken dish in the photo! It’s super good! It’s crunchy with a kick, but it’s sweet at the same time. It’s also gluten free! Most Chinese restaurants use white flour so I never get to order it at other spots. This place does a good job on the chicken dish, which my friends and I all enjoyed! It was a little expensive for lunch compared to other Asian restaurants that I’ve gone to. But I don’t think it’s as bad as the other reviews say. My experience was much different so I would still come try it out so you could see for yourself!

I went here the other day for lunch. Hostess upset I was alone Menu was good, server nice Food favors and portions good. However… in one of my dishes was a large BUG. AFTER I ATEMOST I METHIM. I kept sense of humor and protected other dinners from being aware. I was told organic greens was the problem and once a from was found in them. Now top it off they wanted to give me another order of that dish! No thanks I’m full and creeped out. They should not have charged me for that dish.

This is my third time here and the food was pretty on point. My family and I got the Chilean Sea bass, Garlic Noodles, Orange Chicken, Salmon Rice Plate and Tofu Wraps. I’m somewhat sad that the reviews for this restaurant are not as high. I would highly recommend the Chilean Sea Bass for someone’s first time here though. That was definitely my favorite dish of the meal!

Who de What?! They say that looks aren’t everything. That’s definitely the case here! The atmosphere is gorgeously swankified, and so are the prices. They also say that«Price is what you pay. Value is what you get.» Actually, Warren Buffett said that, and he’s a pretty smart guy. In this case, price and value are not necessarily correlated. You don’t really get the bang for your buck. A friend and I decided to share a few appetizers after our happy hour there. Unfortunately we missed the happy hour prices, so had to order from the dinner menu. I felt that $ 9 was a bit extravagant for just 3 **Har Gow**(dim sum style shrimp dumplings), even though they were tasty and steamed well. The **Garlic Noodles** at $ 10 were pretty sizable but didn’t include any meat. Add $ 5 for chicken or $ 8 for duck! The noodles were quite salty but pretty filling. Finally, the **Satay Chicken** for $ 10 came with 3 skewers on a fresh pineapple. The pineapple was a surprise; I didn’t expect an entire ¼ pineapple, but there it was on the plate! It was awkward trying to pull out the pineapple chunks. The chicken itself was okay but a little too dry for our taste. Overall the food was average and not worth the steep prices to me. But what made up for the experience and makes this a solid 3-star review is the awesome service from Tiffany the bartender. She is very attentive, friendly, and awesome! I’d definitely return to chill here for Happy Hour or even check out the lunch menu, which sounds much more worth it according to Unilocaly lunch reviews. DATETIP: Like I said earlier, looks aren’t everything. This applies not only to your date venue, but to your date as well. Ha!
