Kids Music Lessons – Alison White

Alison is an awesome teacher who is patient and really connects well with kids. She is super-​accommodating to our busy schedule and has very reasonable prices.
We started our daughter on piano (actually an electronic keyboard) to «try-​it-​out» not wanting to invest too heavily into some high-​priced equipment or high-​pressure, «Tiger-​Mom» music schools. Alison has been the perfect choice, she is patient and really connects with the kids to make music fun and enjoyable. Our eight-​year old really looks forward to the music lessons and has been doing quite well on keyboarding, music theory, and reading sheet music.
Alison also holds recitals for her students, and our daughter was very excited about performing in public. Alison was able to spend more time with her to get her ready for the recital, and our daughter very much enjoyed the extra practice and had a great time.
After one year of lessons, we are now looking to upgrade our daughter to a «real» piano and continue with Alison for our daughter’s lessons. Alison is committed and passionate about what she does and works at the students’ pace to make music fun and enjoyable. Some of our daughter’s friends who started at local «Tiger Mom» schools in Cupertino, couldn’t deal with the pressure at those schools and dropped-​out of music altogether (sad). We are so happy we took the moderate, steady approach to our daughter’s music education, and our daughter is now loving it!!!

Alison was recommended by my sister. She has been teaching my niece for years. She will come to your house, which is so convenient. She is so much fun! The kids love her. She is silly and sweet. But they also learn a lot too. She comes prepared and on-​time. She is reliable. I feel very comfortable having her in my home and spending time one-​on-​one with my kids. If you are looking for guitar or piano, she is worth a call. I live in menlo park and she drives here. The kids are singing and starting to play after only a few lessons.

Alison was fantastic! She was so patient and motivating for my children and very skilled in her craft. A very educated and knowledgeable teacher. A total gem!
