I had the misfortune of encountering the lack of customer service at this CVS location around the Christmas Holiday. My 9 month old had stomach issues and was up crying most of the night before. I was in the area visiting relatives and had been instructed by the pediatrician to stop by a pharmacy the next morning. I looked up the business hours on the store website and according to the website they open at 7:00. I arrived early at 6:50 and sat patiently in the parking lot to wait for the store to open. Store employees saw me in my car and smiled at me as they went to the door and let themselves in. I did not see anyone come to unlock the door at 7:00. I tried the door and it was still locked. I called the store to ask their hours and was told that they do not open until 8:00. I let them know that I was the woman in the parking lot waiting for them to open and asked if there was anywhere else that might sell the particular product I needed. I let them know that I was not from the area and did not know what other stores there were. I was directed to a Wal Mart on the other side of town, only to find that there was a Food Lion right around the corner. I think it would have been nice on their part if as the store employees were unlocking the door someone could have asked if I needed anything, or let me know that the store was not opening. The employee I spoke with acted like I was putting her out when I asked if she could refer me to another store. She actually laughed when I asked where the WalMart was. The employee argued with me about the store hours and told me it wasn’t her fault the website was wrong. Where is their sense of Southern Hospitality?
