I’ve never been a fan of Denny’s. There hasn’t been a single time where I really enjoyed a meal I received from any one of these particular diners scattered around California. However, I continued to come back, only because of its 24⁄7 work hours and the fact that every once in a while my friends or family wanted to go. It wasn’t until a visit to this particular Denny’s that I vowed never to return to any of them ever again. Last summer, my friend and I decided to get breakfast here one morning as we had heard about their $ 2,$ 4,$ 6,$ 8 menu deal. While I can’t recall what my friend ordered, I(dreadfully) remember my $ 4 Biscuit and Gravy breakfast. As expected, the food wasn’t good. My friend agreed. But this time was different. Everything on my plate tasted… old. As if it lost half of its original taste, with a hint of some new taste that was NOT meant to be there. Especially the gravy. I get chills just thinking about that gravy. Once again, I left a Denny’s without satisfaction, and my stomach was upset the rest of the day. Starting that night(and ending a couple days later) was hands-down the worst diarrhea I’ve ever experienced in my life. I will spare the gruesome details, but I will say everything that came out of my rear end those next couple of days was 100% liquid and 100% explosive. About 10 bathroom breaks consisted of this. It wasn’t fun. Maybe I was unlucky. Maybe they have great dishes there and I just happened to get the worst of the bunch at each of my visits. Maybe their food has gotten better. After all, this was almost a year ago. But I’m not going to be the one to go back and find out, I can promise you that.

The manager was nice, friendly. Just great! I’m giving 4 stars for the friendly stuffs. Servers are great except for this one guy who was helping us pay for our meal. So rude. Lots of people saw how rude he was to us with my cousins.

Very very busy on a Sunday late morning(actually closer to noon) but took a seat at the counter and was amazed at how much food they prepare for folks. The service was great, manager very nice and food very good and priced right. Exceptional food!

Went here for the first time, this is also my first Unilocal review so bear with me. We ordered 2 different dishes, next time I’ll take pics. Chicken Philly Melt — $ 9.59: Very good sandwich, extremely cheesy with appropriately grilled chicken and well seasoned mushrooms and peppers. Came with fries which I will describe later. Chicken Tenders Dinner — $ 10.99: Not a very good rating on this one… 4 very skinny, somewhat dry«Tenders» looks like a kids meal, very bad for the price… We got it with 2 sides: fries and brocolli, I agree they were poorly chosen, but just weren’t exciting at all. It also came with garlic bread, very thin and small but tasty. Sides –Fries: Pretty bland, you have to pay 59¢ extra for seasoning which is pretty pathetic. We didnt and they were very bland even dumping pepper on them didnt help. The texture was good however and they were very crispy. They came with the sandwiches and were ordered as one of the sides for the –Brocolli: Our first time getting a side like this and they were OK, no flavor or anything just pan heated brocolli, pretty small portion. Service — The service was decent, respectful waitresses, we were seated near the dishwashing area, but we didn’t complain, torn seats at the booth we were at. The waitress did not ask if we needed a drink refill, but were very polite. Overall good service . Overall — I would recommend the restaurant as long as one doesn’t order the chicken tenders dinner, would highly recommend the chicken Philly. Next time we go to Dennys we will order breakfast however since its cheaper and has a larger selection.

Good service and polite waiters. The food is not the best but it’s okay. The food taste/quality is probably the same as every other Denny’s.

Good for the standards we have for Dennys. Even though it was a bit crowded, wait wasn’t long at all. Our server was excellent, very friendly! Liked that the manager was walking around greeting the customers and asking how everything was. Good experience!

Things have changed so much! Overall service was okay, waiter could have been more pleasant, and overall staff needs to communicate! One thing I was surprised/upset about is they no longer serve cappacinos! Boo!

Came in for lunch with my son. They were busy so we had to wait a while to be seated. Once seated, we were immediately greated by our waitress. We ordered water and I ordered coffee. The coffee and water came out in no time. The coffee was hot, which is a good thing. The food took a little while to arrive. It’s understandable considering how busy they were. My son really liked his food. My food was ok. I asked for my bacon to be crispy but it wasn’t. Not a big deal though. The service was good. The manager went to every table asking if everything was good. I asked him for more napkins and he brought it to us. Overall, great experience. I will be back… and hopefully the bacon will be crispy next time.

This place has done a complete 360 I’m impressed with the service and hospitality and above all the food is much better, I’m a little upset that Denny’s in this particular part of CA has altered their menu with several items that were discontinued, other than that it is much better.

Just like any other Dennys nothing special but its somewhere you can go at midnight or later. And you can have breakfast anytime of the day and night. They also have budget meals that is not too bad. I usually get the seafood platter with rice and veges and make me full and have to bring home the dinner bread. Its not bad for their prices its a little pricey if you order from the dinner menu but they have good selection too.

I have lots of wonderful memories at Denny’s as a teenager. Denny’s was there when my friends and I needed to have«dinner» at 2am, after being out all night. Denny’s was there for me when I woke up in the afternoon, and I still wanted«breakfast.» My friends and I had some awesome times at Denny’s, and I still enjoy occasionally eating there. Nowadays, I find myself being much more level-headed, and the value of a restaurant goes far beyond their hours of operation. Don’t get me wrong, Denny’s is still a great restaurant; however, my requirements for quality have evolved over time. And, when considering the overall rating of this restaurant, one must compare it with other restaurants for an evaluation. In my opinion, Denny’s is far better than a typical lower-cost fast-food chain, like McDonalds or Burger King. On the other hand, Denny’s is not nearly as good of a restaurant as Red Robin or Chili’s. One cannot compare apples to oranges, so this makes evaluating Denny’s a little tricky. However, I believe the great equalizer is money, and restaurants of similar price can be compared. Denny’s is clearly more expensive than your typical fast food chain, so this then forces you to compare Denny’s with the better restaurants. All of this so far suggests that, as a chain, Denny’s should either reduce their prices or increase their quality. Now onward to this particular Denny’s restaurant. I’ve been to this particular Denny’s about a dozen times, and my rating has always been between a 2-star rating and a 4-star rating. Most often, like during our most recent visit, their service has been a solid 3-star rating. Here’s a breakdown of the rating for our most recent visit: — My meal: 4 stars — My kids’s meals: 2 stars — Waiter service: 3 stars — Dining area cleanliness: 3 stars — Restroom cleanliness: 2 stars First, let me start with the best part of this visit, my meal. I ordered the Bacon Avocado Cheeseburger, and it was awesome! Its appearance on my plate was magnificent, even better than pictured in the Denny’s menu, and it was delicious. I received this great burger with a side of seasoned French fries, which were also delicious, crispy, and fresh. Kudos to the cook on this one! The only drawback of my entire meal was getting a Coca-Cola in a plastic cup; I hate plastic cups… yuk! My kids’s meals were unfortunately quite the opposite. One of these meals was the pizza and French fries, which was apparently good, but it sure looked miserable. The pizza looked like it had low-quality cheese on top of a cardboard-thin flavorless crust, like something that Denny’s purchased from a low budget pizza vendor and just microwaved it to serve. Boring. Another dinner was the spaghetti with a side of apples, which was even more disappointing. The apples appeared fresh and were delicious, but the spaghetti was, again, a low-cost substitute for what should have been the main course of my child’s meal. It was simply spaghetti noodles with a little sauce on the top, and it was barely enough to cover the bottom of a small bowl. This again was a great disappointment, and obviously left my child hungry after finishing it, so I ended up surrendering the majority of my French fries that I had wanted to eat. Our waiter was OK. My preference though, would be to have a waiter or waitress that checks on our table more frequently and is more social. I believe that a big part of going to a «sit down» restaurant is actually the interaction you have with your servers, or else you might as well go to a fast food restaurant drive thru that is less expensive. In summary, we will probably be back to this Denny’s, but it may be a few months before this occurs. Frankly, there are numerous other options out there that deliver a better quality of service for a similar price. Although this particular Denny’s could certainly make some improvements, the majority of the improvements required are that of the Denny’s chain, which will obviously take much more time to correct.

Denny’s use to be our families Sunday go to place, at the time we use to come here it was great the food was good and the service was good too, our family recently went here on Friday and the service was bad. The waiter was rude, my order was wrong but I didn’t say anything, when we went to pay the girl at the register asked how was our food and my boyfriend told her that there was no avocado in his avocado salad and the waiter got really rude about it, he didn’t have to get rude like he did and overall I won’t be coming here again at least not to this Denny’s.

By far the best dennys in the antelope valley! Great customer service and a reasonably priced menu. The kids eat free night on Tuesdays is great for a family on a budget and the $ 2,4,6,8 menu offers a nice variety of delicious entrees.

My dad cracks me up, he swears this is like his favorite restaurant, I love him to death so of course any and everytime I take him out to breakfast, lunch or dinner…99% of the time he just wants to go to Denny’s…and who am I to argue? HOBBBITHOLEBREAKFAST Breakfast absurdity… for less than $ 7 you get two eggs fried right into the center of grilled Cheddar bun halves. Served with two slices of BACON and crispy hash browns with melted shredded Cheddar cheese and BACON. Not bad, but eating something called a «hobbit hole» in between buns in front of my dad just sounded gross, and kinda porno ish.
