So disappointing! We ordered the New England clam chowder. It was boring and the potatoes were too mushy. We had the halibut fish tacos with coleslaw. The halibut was very bland in taste and the coleslaw was forgettable. Also, ordered the ahi poke appetizer. The raw ahi tuna was not the«red» color fresh raw ahi exhibits. Sorry, but we won’t be back.

I’ve been coming here for over a decade. This used to be the place that had reasonably priced high quality seafood. Not anymore. The attention to detail has become sloppy. I was just given tartar sauce as a dressing for my to go salad, when I’d asked for Caesar. The fish was greasy and not nearly as fresh tasting. The prices have dramatically increased and the place that was once a standby for Local residents seems intent on catering to making a buck from a tourist. I used to come here as often as 5 nights a week, but I’ll have to say so long. The only way I can sustain this habit is on a much less frequent basis, but I’ve always been told that it’s the regulars that keep a place in business… so let’s see what happens.

This place is awesome. Their salads with grilled /seared fish are always great,(I usually get the seared Ahi on mine), and the fish’n’chips is also awesome! Go for the 3 piece Halibut, you won’t be disappointed. Would recommend to all family and friends.

Visited this place on Memorial Day Weekend because it was walking distance from our hotel. The food was okay. I ordered the fisherman’s boat and shrimp ceviche. The fisherman’s boat came with two sides of your choice and for the price you pay the portion was pretty good but the flavor on the fried calamari was a little too lemon-y for my liking. The shrimp ceviche was alright. I’ve had better elsewhere. The one good thing from this meal was probably the battered fish, I would get that again but I’m not too sure about anything else.

Fish is fish, or so I thought. This place was a 5 minute walk from our hotel(San Giuliano, amazing and also reviewed). They had a very large selection. Based on other Unilocal pics, I was planning to get the Hawaiian combo but they had a large variety of fish and chip options. I tried the salmon and was NOTDISAPPOINTED. Three large pieces perfectly fried with fat little potato wedges. Coleslaw was well dressed. Boyfriend got fish tacos, but these had a very flavorful sauce and seasoning that made them stand out from every fish taco I’ve had before. See pics!

Freshest seafood around the Coachella Valley. For newcomers it’s kind of confusing, you must pick a table number go inside and order and give them table number. To much to choose from here at Fishermans, I personally love the Surf and Turf but also had the killer fish tacos, the famous fish and chips and ahi sashimi in the past. Bring your wallet and appetite here, you won’t be disappointed.

Its like a mirage in the desert no not a dock or a boat or even a lake, but a seafood ‘market’ with fish and stuff quite extremely overpriced and quality that doesnt match the price whatcha expect a seafood spot in the middle of the desert… Its like a mirage.

We decided to try this place based on the reviews. The food was excellent. Even though this busy weekend the staff had everything under control. They were welcoming. The salad was delicious as well as the fish tacos.

I have been here twice. The first time was very mediocre and there seemed to be an issue with seating us even though there were plenty of open seats. They finally said they could seat us and the food came out quickly. The woman taking our order didn’t like that my elderly father’s voice wasn’t loud enough and I ordered for him and she still gave us attitude. Still don’t understand the issue with the seating. Went there again last night to give it a second chance but seating was an issue again. The hostess said there would be a 25 minute wait even though there were tables open. We stepped back to discuss waiting when a party arrived with the same number of people as us(only 3) they were seated without issue. Not even 3 minutes after we were told to wait. Really??? We were standing right there. The service here has been terrible and the food was so so when I ate here the first time. I am local and I probably won’t come back unless someone else insists we go. We ended up going to a restaurant within walking distance and received much better service(even though they were very busy) and a very comparable order of fish and chips for a couple of dollars less. I’m giving two stars only because the first experience was okay, not great. This last time I didn’t even get a chance to order before being pushed aside.

Wow, I’m fairly shocked by all the positive reviews here – partly because the average age in the restaurant was at least 75 years old, and a demographic that I assume doesn’t really use Unilocal. Anyhow, this place is a prime example of why you never order seafood in the desert. We should have turned back when we saw the«fresh» seafood case by the cash register. Everything literally had the word«fresh» on the sign in a desperate attempt to convince you it actually was. The«Fresh Tuna» was brown all over, the«Fresh Mussels» we’re mostly dead and popped open, as were the«Fresh Clams.» They didn’t even look freshly dead. Nor did the dead lobster. Still, we placed an order for the fisherman’s platter(or something like that), an order of clam chowder and a crab cocktail. The elderly couple ahead of us in line assured us the food was all great. First the clam chowder came out. Actually not bad, aside from the potatoes being mush from sitting in a soup for hours on end. Still, it was pretty edible. Then the crab cocktail. There were a few small lumps of crab meat, but mostly tiny macerated bits of meat that had no flavor. None. It had the texture of super-finely ground beef and tasted like nothing. The cocktail sauce helped the bits adhere to each other enough to use a fork, and at least gave some flavor(if cocktail sauce, anyway). Then the fisherman’s boat(or whatever). It was fine, but by no means good. The breading was so heavy that large clumps of shrimp and clams formed together in a big greasy mess. The occasional bite was good if you got more fish than batter, but the odds were pretty slim. The fries were all cold and a bit mushy and the coleslaw was passable, but bland. All in all, it was greasy, definitely not«fresh» and heavy. There were two of us splitting the one entrée and we didn’t even finish half of it.

My first Palm Springs visit for a weekend getaway and was so excited to try new eating places and experience the lively downtown scenery! This place had an overall good review so we were looking forward trying some delicious seafood here. All I can say was wow! Delicious food. Amazingly fresh and high quality. Great customer service from the staffs. Happy staffs I might add(at least for the time that we were there…^_^) The prices are pretty reasonable too. We really enjoyed sitting outside eating and people-watching. Here’s what we ordered and enjoyed: *Clam Chowder soup — One of the BEST clam chowder soup I’ve ever had! You can truly taste the freshness of the ingredients. The soup is not too salty and not too creamy.(I’ve had bad ones like that!). *Steamed clams — Yes, I like clams. This was a delicious dish/appetizer. Lots of yummy flavored clams marinated into my mouth. I like the fact that they didn’t overpower the flavors. *Baja fish tacos — The cod is beer-battered and I love the freshness and the crispy outer layer. The special«white sauce» that they pour on this makes this taco so yummy! 2 tacos in 1 order. If I ever come back again, I will place 2 orders. :) Will definitely swing by this place again the next time I’m in Palm Springs! Two thumbs up!

Delicious Seafood in Palm Springs. We walked around on a Monday night and everything else had a long wait so we decided to try this out. We had half a dozen oysters which were very tasty. I had the albacore lettuce wraps and my coworker had the tuna steak. Everything tasted very fresh and very delicious. The prices were reasonable as well.

One of the best fish n chips and seafood joints I’ve ever been too. I suggest you have the Halibut fish n chips, probably the best Halibut ever. Cod fish n chips is pretty good as well . Most of the menu is 5 stars. I have been coming here since 1998. Love this place. Probably one of the best places to have lunch or dinner in Palm Springs

OWSCMP Nice seafood spot! THEWAIT: None around 3pm on a Monday. STARTERS * Ahi Poke($ 13.95) — 3 stars This had too much of a sweet & sour sauce drizzled on it. Also, the avocados were not quite ripe. SEAFOODTACOS * Baja Fish Taco — 4 stars There was a really nice texture to the fish, and it was covered in a nice light batter. * Langostino Lobster Taco — 3.5 stars This had fresh meat and good flavor. It just had slightly less wow factor than the other tacos for me. * Salmon Taco — 3.5 stars This was good but like the lobster, it just didn’t have not as much wow factor. * Pacific Halibut Taco — 4 stars Great hearty meat! SIDES * Fried wedge-cut potatoes — 4 stars Nice & soft! Keep in mind if you like a lot of crisp you may not like this.

Order your food ip front. Great lunch combos. There were many choices and between the four of us we had some great grub! Shrimp tacos were very good, especially the side cole slaw. It was lightly dressed and not too spicy. Other excellent entrée were salmon Caesar salad, albacore lettuce wraps and shrimp louie. Highly recommend for a very casual lunch.

LOVED: Baja fish tacos, crispy battered cod, cabbage, and white cream sauce. Clean, simple rice pilaf. Grilled salmon Cesar salad: Moist, fresh fish filet with grill marks on romaine with Parmesan cheese and a thick peppery Cesar dressing heavy on cheese, med/light on anchovies. Clam chowder: Creamy, hearty, mild flavor with lots of succulent clams and potatoes. Oyster crackers on the side. Condiments: California Chili Sauce, Tapatio, Tabasco, vinigar, Ketchup on the table with and an island of Tarter, Apricot and other sauces. LIKED: Albacore Lettuce Wraps, tuna salad with a side of syrupy plum sauce and iceberg leaves. VALUE: 7.99 lunch special was awesome. Plenty of options $-$$ SPOT: Nice, casual, people & dog-friendly space with dining al fresco, pay up front food is delivered to the table. Large, simple unisex bathroom, didn’t see changing table. Single story floor plan, no stairs good access for disabled. PARKING: Free unlimited covered public lot to park in right next door.

I stopped by this restaurant once during my recent visit to Palm Springs, CA and I thought the food was pretty good. They had a great assortment of seafood options and they offered various combination meals for reasonable prices. I was glad to find this place because it was difficult finding seafood in Palm Springs for some reason. The restaurant itself is small and felt crowded but you can opt to dine outside. They also have a spacious dining room opposite to the small market store. But before dining you can pick out your food options and choose how you want your meal cooked before paying. I highly recommend this place to seafood lovers visiting the area.

During a recent trip to Palm Springs with our field hockey team, a bunch of us parents decided to let the kids do their own thing and go out ourselves. When our first choice of restaurants had a 45 minute wait we decided to give Fisherman’s Market a try. Not the type of place I’d expect in Palm Springs, but more like something I’d see at the shore back home. So, you get yourself seated, look over the menu, then you go place your order and pay and when it’s ready they bring it to your table. There were five of us that night and we were all hungry. I love seafood, I really do, so I had high expectations for this place. They had an Alaskan King Crab Legs combo going on that night(comes with a steak), but I wasn’t in the mood for a steak(I know, huh???) so I ordered a pound of the crab legs instead… also ordered a cup of the Boston clam chowder. One couple split their Crab Legs and steak combo with cheesy garlic bread and the other two ordered a Grilled salmon sandwich and the charbroiled salmon platter. The two salmon meals seemed to be thoroughly enjoyed but I think the couple with us would have preferred just a slightly bigger portion-they enjoyed the meal, but I think they both wanted a little more. My clam chowder was just ok — I have had SO much better that it’s one of those food items I get pretty annoyed with when it isn’t great. My crab leg portion was awesome-nice big pieces of crab legs, pre cracked so I never needed the pliers. I don’t think they used salted butter so my first couple bites were just a little bland, but nothing a dash of salt couldn’t fix. The cheesy garlic bread and the cole slaw were both just ok. As much as I liked my crab legs, I think if I came back I’d probably try either the Hawaiian combo or the fish tacos because both looked fabulous. If you’re looking for a casual place to grab some very good seafood — stop in. I think you’ll be happy with the experience.

We received a recommendation to try this place while in Palm Springs. Interesting set-up. Order at counter, pay first and then receive your table. Walk with your drinks to table? Wait for food. We didn’t wait long for food at all. It arrived piping hot and looked great. Great fish(halibut) tacos with coleslaw. Coleslaw was okay, not the best I have had. We also ordered fish and chips too. Very tasty. Service was friendly at the order counter. Can’t comment on the service for the food delivery, he just dropped it off and didn’t say a word. Didn’t see him again. Would have been nice to see someone during dinner, since we needed a refreshment on drinks, but instead just went elsewhere down the street after for drinks. If you are looking for a casual, no frills seafood place, this would be it.
