This Salon is great!!! I love my hair cut and the hair products they use and sell. Clean and a great location. I’ll be back every time

Daniel Fetsis is amazing. His blondes are natural but bright and shiny. Haircuts are precision but fall softly and effortlessly in place. Great charisma and energy. His time training abroad at the Vidal Sassoon Advanced Academy in London, along with years of experience, really make him a stand out stylist.

Colorist recommendation: My hair is difficult to color. It’s naturally white and looks terribe on me — I have very white skin. I have had fantastic haircuts here in the past, but today was my first experience with having them color my hair. My colorist was Daniel Bernard, and he is supremely excellent. His artistic eye coupled with his strong color skills from 30 years of coloring made my hair look fantastic. This wasn’t foils or an all over color. The titanium color was literally painted on my hair with a tiny brush(eyeliner brush?) and an eyelash brush. He made my hair look really awesome. The way he did it ensures that I won’t have annoying and hideous white root grow out. He’s very creative. He’s very nice. He’s very cute. All in all, this was a great visit to a great salon(Brien O’Brien) with a great colorist. This place gets my vote for Best of Palm Springs. Thank you Daniel! Love, Thumper

I came to Brien O’Brien with the worst haircut I’ve ever had in my life and Katie was able to save me! She completely understood my needs and really took her time to make sure that every hair was as it should be. I’ve gotten so many compliments and people asking where I got my hair cut and I’m happy to recommend Brien O’Brien! Overall it was a wonderful experience and I definitely plan on going back! Plus they get an extra coolness point for having an awesome dog in the salon!

Rip off! I mistakenly sent a friend praising this salon and after booking a $ 25 quick trim online with a certain stylist. He got someone else and a 15 minute, $ 50BAD haircut. When questioning it at paying he was told«well it’s been washed and we put product in it» and was still charged $ 50 despite his ‘fade’ looking like it was cut with hedge trimmers! If you still go after reading the terrible reviews on Unilocal just make sure you are ready to constantly educate your stylist on what it was you actually booked and be ready to leave looking like you did it yourself with toenail clippers. Obviously they don’t care for repeat customers as this will never be recommended by me to guests again. One unhappy guest for the weekend, thanks!

I came for a color and cut with Daniel. I was set on dying my hair blonde and within 2 minutes, he changed my mind(I think for convenience). In my opinion, it is more like $$$. $ 210 for light color(no foil) and cut. All in all, ok place, but if you don’t mind higher fees and a more trendy place, this is up your alley.

This was my FIRST time visiting Palm Springs! And I was in need of a haircut. I had the pleasure of meeting Javier. And I was VERY pleased with my cut! He is such a talented stylist! Javier was a terrible«stylist» and even worse colorists. Amongst many other things like his not listening… — he BURNED the heck out my scalp and when I was close to tears telling him whatever he just did was burning too much– he said«that is the price of being blond honey. « Excuse me? But i’ve been an un-natural blond for 20+ years and no one has EVER burned my scalp. Then again ive never had someone pull a rookie move and use straight bleach as root color… Head was tender for 2 weeks afterward… Just terrible experience with a cocky under-skilled novice who should go back to beautyschool and also develop some bedside manner.

Wow … Brien is amazing, best colorist ever … I moved here from San Francisco & had a great stylist there… I was lost moving here … I looked around and asked everyone who’s hair I liked(particularly cut & color) … Almost to a person it came back to Brien O’ Brien… I made an appointment and was blown away with what he did with my hair… I get compliments all the time… I have been seeing Brien for the last 4yrs now, every six weeks, and I am just as happy as I was after that 1st appt… Brien is a wonderful professional who is always improving his craft, lucky for all of us who recieve his services…

I have been having my hair cut and styled at Brien O’Brien’s salon for nearly 4 years. Brien is my hairstylist and I have nothing but praise for his abilities. His salon also provides other services which I have enjoyed as well. His staff is outstanding. A special thank you to Stephanie at the front desk. She is the voice and face of this great salon.

I LOVE the Brien O’Brien Salon. I usually see Michael, who is an amazing colorist, great stylist and one of the nicest guys I know. I have also seen Danny who is awesome. I love the atmosphere that has been created at the salon. I appreciate their mix of older gals from La Quinta, men from a business world and gay men looking for a trendy new look, with all feeling welcomed and respected. I have tried many places since moving to the desert and this is by far my favorite spot. Brien’s attention to detail and concern for customer satisfaction has produced A salon that is a real winner, and I refer friends without hesitation.

Michael was very sweet and I did click with him, however the salon owner is pretentious and rude, and although Michael was nice, my blow out was still damp in some places and styled like an old ladies hair. Way overpriced and not up to par– for a blowout you are better off driving the 20+ minutes to a blowout bar in Palm Desert.

Even though I had a haircut about a week before leaving for vacation the desert heat drove me into Brien O’Brien for another one. I saw Danny and he was meticulous. He didn’t rush and he even worked out a problem I always have with a couple of cowlicks. I should also mention the space was beautiful and very clean, the staff friendly and welcoming. I left feeling great! Thanks Danny, love my haircut :)

Natalie Noël! A Godsend! I came in with a mess from another salon(cut & color fiasco) & left feeling like a million bucks! Consultation, color & cut in under two hours & fantastic on top of that! I felt comfortable & welcome from the moment I stepped in the door :-) I’ll definitely be going back!

Natalie Noël is an exceptional stylist at Brien O’Brien! She excels in cutting and coloring my hair. Natalie is friendly and welcoming. It took me over one year to find a stylist that I could trust. After 3 serious mishaps at other salons in the Valley, Natalie came into my life. The salon is professional, quiet, and most accommodating and my experience with Stephanie and Brien are consistently wonderful.

Made an appointment on a late Friday Evening to get the Brazilian Blow Out done on Saturday morning at 9:00 am. I arrived early(surprise, surprise) and was able to tour«The Corridor» which is the complex that houses Brien O’Brien Salon, Koffi Palm Springs and a few more gift shops. There is parking in the rear but I parked across from Our Lady of Solitude because I knew God would watch over my ride. I walked into Koffi to get my drink then exited through the rear which is a dog park of sorts with grass, tables and dogs! I awaited the Salon to open and arrived inside at 9:00 am promptly and was greeted promptly. I was set up with my Stylist Natalie Noël and I had to inform her of my time crunch, she obliged and we began. Process: — Deep Scrub to remove all product from hair — coat hair in Brazilian Blow Out formula — blow dry hair with formula — flat iron hair with formula — Rinse hair — apply formula conditioner treatment — go under hair dryer for 15 mins w/conditioner in hair — rinse and wash — Blow Dry It is a long process that is worth every penny, if you get the right stylist at a worthwhile salon it makes the long process all the more bare able. Natalie is a great stylist and worked hard to meet my unrealistic dead line, a quick blow dry and I was out the door on my way to a baby shower. Brien O’Brien is offering the treatment for $ 200.00 for new clients and $ 300.00 for returning clients.

Never again. My last cut and color was perhaps the third worst in my life. I looked like a chopped up Raggedy-Ann doll. The journey from Brown to Blonde left defined bars of orange-ish colors under the back, and part was still untouched by the coloring at all. To even a novice stylist the defects were glaringly obvious. Janice was not honest enough to show me the damage she had done. My hair was and still is breaking off. I had to pay $ 400 for color correction, a switch to Kerastase Products, and a much more renowned stylist. I am now happier and regaining confidence in the hair industry.
