Turquoise Salon

I wanted to give an update, because I don’t want another innocent person to fall prey to this Salon, or to that women Angela, who totally DAMAGED my hair! In turn I’ve spent $ 180.00 dollars to try to fix the breakage, and the dark root color, and cut. The topper, if you DO decide to RISK getting your hair done by Angela, and she does to you, what was done to me. SHE WON’T GIVE YOU YOUR MONEY BACK, and could care less about your experience, and what she was responsible for doing to your hair. In my opinion, she is a person who can’t «OWN» her mistakes, and how she got a licence is beyond me. I was also told by the owner that the State board could care less about complaints, and it won’t matter at all. Maybe. Thank god for review sites like Unilocal/​others. #LESSONLEARNED

Rachel that sucks you had a bad experience because I don’t even know where to begin, besides Angela is my hair goddess!
I have naturally dark brown curly hair (which I died black about two years ago). I usually do not get my hair done, I always just use box dyes from the store myself and finally I did the big NO NO and bleached it myself and it was a nightmare. I had a stylist on el paseo dye it a pretty red (at the time) and over time it faded and turned into this orange/​brass/​dead mop with streaks of bleach showing!
I Found Angela online and looked at some of the work she has done and decided it was time to make the call. I got right in for a next day appointment, went in and Angela knew exactly what to do to achieve the color I wanted! She is completely laid back and makes me feel like family which I love (The last salon I went to had rules and regulations for customers which made me feel Unwelcome, like I can’t act like myself in front of them).
I went back for my follow up appointment this past week and I am so happy! I was in and out with ease! She truly has the best interest in your hair and is not afraid to tell you what you should or shouldn’t do to save your hair! I will never see anybody in this desert but her! I live about 30 mins away and have a baby at home and folks she is worth the drive!!!

At Rachael, oh my goodness I can’t believe you had an experience like that! Are you sure it was Angela at turquoise??? I have had nothing but the best experience for months from Angela and would recommend her to all my friends. If anyone wants professional results that get compliments left and right, I definitely recommend Angela.

I randomly visited Unilocal to give a review for my long time stylist Angela Edmondson.
I was baffled at the review below and the complete inaccuracy of what she stated. I too have been a stylist for quite some time, and have never heard of anyone taking 4 – 5 hours on a full head of highlights. That’s ridiculous.
REGARDLESS– Do not let that review fool you. Angela is one of the best stylist in the valley, and her professionalism is not to be questioned!!! If the person knew anything about how the salon industry worked she would understand that product alone is the main reason of costs in the salon.
I LOVE YOU ANGELA!!! Keep rockin the hair world, and can’t wait for my next appointment!

DO NOT GO TO ANGELA EDMONDSON!!! I went in for full highlights from Angela and walked out with my hair so messed up I had to pay for extensive deep conditioning treatments and a color correction. I was in and out in 2 hours, that should give you a hint of how bad it was. It takes at least 4.5 to 5 hours to do full highlights (on mid length/​long hair) with 2 colors, a cut, and style. I guess she thinks she is a medical professional making over 55 dollars an hour. She was putting two colors on the same foil and rushing through everything! To make matters worse my haircut was deferent lengths on each side. Bottom line DO NOT GO TO ANGELA EDMONDSON!!! If you get literally «burned» from her its on you. Pay a little extra and get your hair done right. PS she curls your hair so you don’t see all the color lines, and check your hair line before you leave she always forgets to dye it, and leaves dye dripping down your head/​neck. She should not be learning on people without their consent!!!

Cutest lil boutique/​Salon ever! As soon as I walked in I felt welcome. Angela did a great job with my hair, I got an Ombré do, and I love it! She didn’t go over kill on the haircut, which usually happens at every other salon I go to. I am very happy with my hair! Give them a try!

I’m so jazzed to have found MARCIE at Turquoise salon. Finally, a Palm Springs hair stylist who is hip yet without attitude, reliable and highly competent! Marcie goes out of her way to find the products that work best with my hair. She gives me great razor cuts, straightens my hair with Keratin at a reasonable rate AND she’s the only stylist in the area who has managed to keep my bright red hair from fading in the brutal desert sun. I can’t recommend her highly enough: Marcie is a real find!

Art is absolutely amazing at what he does! So gifted and easy to talk to. I just love coming by and leaving with a smile on my face. The Turquoise Salon is clean and soothing as Art works his magic on your hair. Great price for the service and look that you get. I recommend to anyone who wants to look and feel their best.

Highly trained and friendly staff. Prices are very reasonable and it is always a good experience.
