This little building is set off of the road just a bit. When you walk in, you will see all things lavender. Candles, soaps, bath items, sachets, bouquets, and more. There is also some lovely pottery. As you continue to explore, the next room has a nice display of local honeys, jams, jellies, hot sauces, etc. And there is a big fridge that, in the summer, has produce from their gardens. The highlight to me, however, is in a little room that you will think is a wine tasting room. But no, it is an oil and vinegar tasting room. And, while I thought that the number of varieties of these was a little insane — once I got tasting, I ran a little amok. The blood orange infused olive oil was intensely flavored and my hostess said she most recently used it in a cheese ball. Hmmm. Tasted on bread, it was marvelous. «If you like that, taste it with a little drizzle of fig balsamic vinegar.» Holy moley. That really got me. So good. I bought those and a bottle of their house blend olive oil that was so verdant, that I though there were actual olives in the bottle. When I got home, we had some Brie that I drizzled the orange oil and fig vinegar over. Ate it ALL. Never tasted anything like it before and I loved it. The next day, I had bought some fish — and I remembered that Ruth(one of the 2 owners) had said how much she liked the Meyer Lemon olive oil on fish or chicken. Back I went. This place is addictive(thank goodness they give you a punch card — buy 10 and get one free). I think this was actually more fun than a wine tasting. There as so many wonderful flavors(infused here) and you can pair the oils and vinegars. Not something I would have expected to be excited about — but I am!!!
