This is a decent little café. Good food, good prices. Nothing spectacular. It was a little perplexing to see a line of people waiting to get in, and a row of two-tops shoved together to become four-tops when most people were in couples. They could have gotten us in faster by better utilizing their tables. Our waiter was very nice, but very scarce… the table next to us had their server visit every few minutes, and we waited like 10 to pay the bill. It was very strange to see our server handling tables far away… why not assign tables in groups? Oh well, we weren’t in a hurry. I’ll definitely go back, but there is some room for improvement.

We’ve eaten breakfast here a few times and we’ve never had a bad experience. The service is great. I like to get the continental breakfast and my hubby gets the Pala combination breakfast. The pancakes are fluffy and delicious; The ham is flavorful, even my picky toddler likes it. We’ve never had lunch or dinner here, but the breakfast is always delicious.

I came here because it’s the only place in the area that does steak and egg breakfast. We got seated immediately… That’s the only reason I gave it two stars… Waited 40 minutes for the food which was mediocre at best… Very disappointed

If you play with your player’s card, you can approach a host for a food credit. It helps to offset the cost, although their food prices are reasonable($ 20.95 for a prime rib dinner that comes with your choice of soup or salad). If you’re watching your pennies, you probably shouldn’t be at a casino anyway. But, you can save a few by not ordering a soda and drinking a free one from the self serve soda kiosks located throughout the casino. My girlfriend likes their salmon teriyaki bowl. They give you a nice sized piece of fish. It’s served over rice and you have a choice of white or brown rice. A good choice if you like salmon. I had the prime rib tonight. It had a good flavor and was a big piece of meat. Came with mashed potatoes and veggies. That along with the soup more than filled me up. We had a comp so we got the dessert also. The brownie al a mode is great as is the apple cobbler(also served with ice cream). Nice place to take a break from donating and have a good meal. Enjoy!

We got greeted and seated quick. But let me just say, that: I’d come back any day and time for that waffle chicken fried steak! Every single bite was crispy and moist. Delicious. The waffle was crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The way I like it. The service was amazing. The portions are huge. I have to give Shaina a big shout out! She’s by far the best there. Very pleased with my visit. I’ll be coming back!

A nice café restaurant inside the Pala Resort and Casino. They serve American breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as some Mexican food. We had… –TUNASALADSANDWICH on CROISSANT– I like it. It’s simple yet delicious. Generous tuna and not too much mayo. I had ONIONRINGS on the side and they were not fresh. You can tell it was frozen because it was mushy on the inside. Get the FRENCHFRIES instead. They are crispy and salted properly. –MUSHROOMSWISHBURGER — El hubby really liked it. It had lots of sauteed mushrooms. The meat was cooked perfectly to medium well. Service was great. Our server was nice and friendly and we got out food in a timely manner. I’d come here again.

A very good café for a quick bite to eat. They serve breakfast lunch and dinner. Prices are extremely reasonable. There’s no waiting and the service is very quick. I will definitely come back here for breakfast.

We have a table of 6 people. We didn’t wait too long. We knew what we wanted before we sat down to save time. Not even 20 mins laters. Our food is out. I was very surprised. The supervisor on shift today, Sonia I think, was absolutely amazing! 2 Pala burgers. Came out perfect. But the sides were mixed up. Both were fries but one came out with onion rings. The super gave us fries immediately. Pastrami sandwich was really good. Generous with the meats! Philly cheese steak. It was okay. Nothing amazing but okay Steak nachos were great! Generous with the toppings. The ratio was good the meats were cooked well. Chicken nachos were also great. I hate dry chicken! But surprisingly this wasn’t. Really good!

solid fries yo! i got the pala burger with fries and the fries are deep fried so similar to curly fries! i ate here on a midnight craving for burger and it was filling anc satisfying. the burger patty is solid but the burger needs some spread for flavor. like chipotle aioli or something of the like.

For breakfast at a casino this is the place to go and it’s reasonably priced. The food was your basic corn beef hash and eggs, the waitress and waiters were friendly.

This is my fourth time eating here for breakfast and each time it has gotten worst. I ordered my breakfast the 2 egg scramble and they do not have non pork choices. You can substitute your meat choice with slices tomatoes or cottage cheese you can’t get double hash browns. In my previous experience the hash browns come out white not brown so I asked if they can brown my hash browns… When they came out I had hash brown crumbles it was so hard that the crumbled up. Ordered water with lemon and the sticker was left in the lemon. Never again. Waitress was so nice that’s why’d I have them a 2 and not a 1.

A group of my friends met for breakfast before heading back home and I must say that the service and food was excellent. We showed up without a reservation and the manager and wait staff quickly put our table of 18 together and sat our group. Our request for separate checks was graciously granted and we all managed to order our food, eat and visit with each other all within the hour… and the café was busy. For $ 7.95 my breakfast came with two over easy eggs, ham steak, perfectly cooked hash browns and toast. I only managed half as the portions were huge! Our server was awesome! I highly recommend the Pala Café for breakfast if you are staying at the resort!

DIRTYWATERWITHBLACKSTUFFFLOATINGAND A COFFEECUPWITHLIPSTICKSTILLLEFTONIT!!! With that being said I jetted immediately and made it clear to the manager the restaurant they are running is FILTHY. I feel bad for the people who ate here… I’m petty disgusted at how filthy this place is.

Great place for just a staple breakfast, lunch or sit down dinner — diner type of restaurant. This review is for breakfast only. The Chicken fried steak was huge, period. It was flat, crispy and took over the plate. It had a nice texture of being not over breaded, but still maintaining flavor. Coupled with a waffle was a good balance of salty/crispy and sweet mushy. Service was prompt and just a good quality staple of food for a reasonable price. The meal was a little on the bland and over salted side, but no surprise from where we were.

We ate lunch here this weekend, for about the 5th time overall. I ordered the Chicken Salad Croissant Sandwich,(with a side of fries) and my wife ordered the Caesar Salad Chicken Wrap,(with a side of onion rings). Overall, the fare here is pretty typical of any regular café and breakfast can be ordered any time of day. What I really want to comment on was our appetizer but I’ll get to that later. And, as many other reviewers commented, the service was SLOW. Not the food service, just the time it took to be greeted at the table and have an order taken… My Chicken Salad Croissant Sandwich itself was really, really good. The croissant was extremely light, subliminally flakey and just a wee bit on the sweet side. The fries on the other hand, were just so/so at best. My wife’s onion rings were really good but she said the Caesar Salad Chicken Wrap was«warm», which really threw her for a loop. BUT… She did say it was good,(though not great). The really bizarre thing about this visit was the appetizer. Since the wife and I had been playing for the better part of 24 hours straight, both of us were about to pass out if sustenence weren’t found soon. So when we were finally greeted at the table, our first thought was to immediately get an appetizer. We ordered the chips and salsa,(with a side of guacamole), in the hopes it would arrive before we succumbed to hunger. Now here is the bizarre part… When the chips arrived, they were warm and soft,(quasi chewy), almost as if they were freshly made corn tortillas, cut into«triangles» and fried right then and there. The«issue» as it was is that they were soft and like I said, kind of chewey, almost«doughy». Not at all crispy and crunchy as one would expect. What’s even more wacky about it all was that they were really, really good. I mean like ridiculously good. Problem is, I don’t know if that was just an accident of birth or truly intentional!!! If I had been thinking, I would’ve saved myself the headache and just asked if that is the way they were supposed to be served… Dumb me.

Every casino has a coffee shop and this one is Pala’s. It’s the only San Diego casino that can serve you breakfast 24⁄7. Because of that, this is my favorite San Diego casino coffee shop. Selection of the other meals are pretty good and the value is good as well. Nothing here is great. But nothing here is terrible. Staff is friendly but somewhat on the slow side. Given the choices in this casino, this is a good one.

Pala Café is whatever. I only eat here because my mom likes having brunch at the casino. My first time here, I ordered a Turkey burger. It was decent; I could have made a better one at home and I don’t even cook. The fries looked & tasted like something they bought at a grocery store in a frozen bag. Not exaggerating. I barely touched them. Today, we came for breakfast, so I decided to try something non-traditional(and healthy)-bagel & smoked salmon platter. My mom got eggs, sausage & hash browns. Again, my food was whatever. Probably one of the better plates on the menu though. Complaints: they don’t offer healthy alternatives. I asked for low-fat cream cheese, they only had plain regular. No wheat bread option, only white. Not exactly the place for health-conscious people. Service is decent. Huge portions, but very overpriced. Don’t expect much when you come here.

Food here is ok. I came for lunch couple weeks back and ended up getting the Corned Beef Reuben. It was alright. Nothing to complain about really except that it was a bit dry. The french fries weren’t that good though. It had that crinkly style form that you buy at the grocery store made by Ore Ida. I’d probably recommend to try Noodles or the Buffet than come here.
