The service here was friendly and the food came out quickly, and that’s pretty much the end of what’s good here. I ordered the cheese enchiladas combination that came with rice and beans. The beans tasted old and canned, which are pet peeves of mine. The rice was undercooked and whatever tomato sauce they used was just awful-tasting and runny. This is almost the worst-tasting enchiladas, rice and beans that I’ve tasted. I cant believe a place can be proud of serving food this bad. I gave two stars because of the friendly, attentive service, but with the food being such a huge disappointment it’s just not enough to bring back.

Well, the food certainly LOOKS amazing in the pictures! And, my own pictures of the food make it look fantastic, as well. Nice people working here — SUPER nice. 5-stars for small-family-business-and-friendliness. HOWEVER — the food quality was NOT very good, the food was nothing better than average, poorly prepared Tex-Mex(think Green Burrito quality)… BUT the prices are really outrageous(for what you get!!!) Not going back …

The corn tortillas here are the best I have ever had. If I am ever in the Pala area, I stop through to buy a dozen. The flour tortillas are solid too. All made in house. Very nice!

Right across the street from Pala. The machaca burrito was big and super good. The guy working the guy at the counter could not be nicer. Nothing fancy about this place, just good food! The red salsa has a good kick to it. Get out of the casino for a few minutes and support this small shop, you will not regret it! Todo bien!

I eat a lot of tacos all over Southern California, let’s just say I know my shit when it comes to the art of tacos. This place looked really promising, but I’ve had better and cheaper elsewhere. I ordered the following tacos: 1 carne asada, 1 carnitas &1 lengua. The lengua taco was the best, very tender. The carne asada was ok, not a lot of flavor. The carnitas was the worst, way too salty. Also, I ordered it without guacamole and of course they put it on there anyway. I like my tacos with cilantro, onions and my choice of salsa, that’s it! A small splash of lime and I’m good to go. I don’t need a big heaping pile of guacamole to alter the flavor of the meat, that’s not my thing. At $ 1.75 a pop, these are one of the most expensive«TJ Style» tacos I’ve had in a long time. I probably won’t be back, it’s a shame because I thought I would really like this place.

Caveat emptor– I’ve only been here once, but I was impressed with the extremely good carne asada tacos here. Soft tacos. With lots of tender, tasty meat. And grilled onions, which is a nice addition. Can’t say I was impressed with their salsa bar, though. If that was as good as the tacos, I’d probably give them 5 stars. The kid at the cash register was very friendly. He seemed genuinely happy to be serving customers. Don’t experience that very often, especially at a taco shop. I’ll definitely come here again when I’m in Pala.
