Definitely one of the best coffee shops on the island of Maui, and they’ve got smoothies to match their mean cup of joe! The atmosphere is cool and relaxing, and some times you can catch a show outside with locals performing traditional dances of Hawa’iin and Polynesia. My final word of advice is get the green banana smoothie with a congo bar, trust!

The Green Banana is a wonderful Café in Paia. It has all the trappings of a cool place to hangout that I need. First off their espresso is amazing, and every drink I’ve ordered from them is splendid. They have awesome smoothies, and wonderful baked goods. The atmosphere is cool, and relaxed, and the wifi is free. I can even opt for indoor or outdoor seating. What more do I need?

the yogurt place has super nice staff and pretty good shave ice, but the café doesn’t have nice staff… the coffee tastes very bland. meh.

The staff seemed a LITTLE full of themselves, I figured because they could tell we were not locals. The food was good, the place was clean, what more do you want for breakfast?

I’ve come here a few times for yogurt. Which is good, probably the best on the island actually. But yesterday I go in for my favorite item, the acai parfait, but before I can even get my order out, the kid working starts going off about how much the management sucks, he wasn’t properly trained and he has no idea how to make many of the things on the menu. So I tried to order my parfait and he says he has no idea what that is or how to make it, followed by more ranting about how the management sucks. I tried to explain it to him, because I’ve gotten it before but he says to me «I’m not making that» So I had no choice but to leave without it… Apparently a few people have quit recently. But management– learn how to treat your employees with respect, train them property, and offer consistent service. Haven’t had such a bad tasting experience on Maui, ever. the WORST.

Paia looks sleepy and at the same exciting. I don’t know but this little town hit me that way. I couldn’t wait to get off the car to stroll around this little town. We were trying to kill some time before the zip line adventure and spied this café. Great find. First question: Do you have wifi? A smile and a big Yes! Free too! Score! iPads out and a quick email review and one more check of the zip line company. We ordered the Dark Chocolate Macaroon Late on ice and Wild Coconut Chai Late on ice as well. I can’t say enough abou these drinks. They’re awesome! Sooo good and strong! Twitching eyes after:) if I live in Paia I will try all their drinks. The names alone are inviting! The décor was very cute! Red paper umbrellas hanging by the counter, a long table outside for an alfresco experience. Rich red leather covered chairs. Cute tables. What a setting! Pleasant guys behind the counter. Upstairs is the bathroom. Also. Bunch of computers for rent lays waiting. You need cash? They havevan ATM machine inside. But they do take cc’s! We found parking right in font. It’s metered parking everywhere with a max of two hours. Froyo next door. I’m just saying…:)

While enjoying a vacation of a life time, every day I stopped by the Green Banana Café’ to pick up rounds of espresso shots and then head for the beach. I went there faithfully until I met the owner, who practically pried the half and half out of my hand. I realize milk is like liquid gold on the island, but the way he hovered over me, snatched up the container and practically arm wrestled me for it, well, that encouraged me to move on.(I ended up finding a place in Haiku that I loved, so in the end it was a good thing).

**CUTESYFROYOANDSHAVEICEBARINPAIA** We were both craving shave ice and noticed that Green Banana Café also had a connected Fro Yo Bar. Inside, bubble gum colors of bright pinks and greens splashed everywhere. Chinese paper lanterns hung overhead and jars filled with lemons, candy, and toppings laid on the counter. Our server was cute and bubbly like the place. THANKYOU. You made us smile. ORDERED: *PASSIONFRUIT and GUAVA small($ 4) — No complaints. Not too sweet and the small was a perfect snack to stroll around Paia. Good flavors. Our first shave ice on Maui and hopefully not our last. RECOMMEND.

They do not know how to make good coffee. Horrible iced mochas. There iced mochas are essentially chocolote milk. The woman who work there are often friendly but the guys are usually ass holes. The owner always rude. I asked for a iced coffee, got a hot coffee and they made me pay 52 cents to change it, when indeed they messed up. really bad service.

Worst customer service. Owner, David Wong is the rudest person I’ve ever met!!! My friends and I decided to stop by Green Banana Café for a cup of coffee and a bite to eat. When we walked in, the owner was reprimanding a barista. No greeting… He walked up to the register and asked what we wanted in a rude voice. It took less than few minutes to figure out what we wanted, but he kept huffing and making rude comments. Need I mention there were only 2 customers in the whole coffee shop and noone behind us in line. My friend told him he should calm down a bit. That’s when he flipped us off and told us he wouldn’t be serving us coffee. Great aloha spirit. When asked few locals about this place, they said the owner has a reputation for being rude and everyone avoids this place at all costs!!! I’ll make sure to tell all my friends NOT to come by.

What can I say? Amazing little spot. Nice servers and great tea and goodies. Starbucks can eat a fat, overpriced hotdog. Aloha.

this place is really cute and a nice place to stop for coffee in paia. they have wifi access, and they have computers for you to use upstairs for a fee. they have yummy iced coffee topped w/salted cream. i was shocked to see this, b/c i have only seen this at 85 degrees C in irvine and taiwan. the barista said that they actually got the idea from 85 degrees C, and i was the first person he knew that has actually tried that coffee. they have their own rendition of it by using macadamia nut iced coffee as the base and then having the salted cream. i enjoyed my coffee on the patio outside while reading. a great way to pass time if you’re in paia.

This place is awesome! My husband and I found this place while we were in Maui a few weeks ago. The place is super cute and they put fresh fruit that they cut right in front of you into your yogurt. The employees were very friendly and even offered to take a picture for us without being asked. This is the cutest yogurt shop I have ever seen! We will definitely go back again the next time we are in Maui. (I think they remodeled since the picture that was posted by Jelp A. on Dec. 09 so I will post a new one up.)

Good frozen yogurt with a lot of toppings to choose from. Only thing is, no fresh fruit. You would think at least pineapple.

We stopped by here super early on our way to Hana Town to get a quick bite to eat. It took a little while to come out but holy crap this was one of the best Egg Sandwiches I have ever had. It had a poached egg, ham and what I thought was gruyère cheese. I’m not exactly sure but its was pretty good. The sandwich was good and if I lived there I would love to come back and try other stuff on the dinner menu. If you’re making the drive to hana town, stop here on the way out to grab a bite in the morning.

Next time you are on North Shore head on over to the Green Banana Café. The environment, service, drinks and food just can not be beat! Bring your lap top, I promise, it will be time well spent! So thankful that we have this gem in Paia!

I LOVETHISPLACE! I stumbled on this place while here on vacation and I love it. All the employees are VERY nice and super friendly. The atmostphere is very laid back and welcoming. The internet is free, blazing fast, and very reliable. I love the GREEN theme they have. Very island friendly… big thumbs up. Prices are great. Food & drinks are CRAZY good. Not sure what Lee L’s review is; because, I’ve been sitting here for an hour and have watching the employees interact with several people and they are VERY welcoming. Perhaps it’s a new staff or something? Come try it out and see for yourself. I will CERTAINLY be back.

Best coffee on the island, delicious bagel menu, great ambiance. Only complaint is the service. While there are several friendly baristas, there are several more consistently rude and unpleasant ones(including one of the owners). I had convinced several of my friends to try it(including fellow business owners in town) and they all said the same thing – that they loved the space and product, but felt like they were unwelcome and intruding on the staff by being there. So, as long as you don’t expect a «good morning, how’s it going» or a «thank you»(regardless of how much you spend or tip) — then this is the pefect café for you. I am still a fan, regardless of the lackluster service – the coffee is just that good!
