I love the library and try to support them the best i can. I put three movieson hold, to be picked up from the Sylmar branch, and then returned them to the pacoima branch. I used the outside drop box just outside the entrance and for some reason all but one movie was checked back in. Need better organization skills or something because i returned all three and will be held responsible for the one that went missing in their hands, not mine.

Atmosphere is not the best to tutor someone but there is a good selection of books because nobody ever checks them out. Very loud for a library but the staff is very helpful if you ask.

Today while tutoring a 14 year old girl at an LA public library, there was a man watching porn on a computer right next to our table. There were other children sitting all around us. I get up to tell the librarian, and receive a reply saying they can’t monitor what people do on the Internet. Instead, the librarian offers the man a different computer away from us (but closer to the CHILDREN’S section of the library!!) There could be a sex offender pedophile 2 feet away getting off watching porn (possibly even child pornography) in a library full of children. There is something incredibly wrong with humanity if such an action is acceptable. Parents need to know what the heck is going on.

a very dirty place, bad atmosphere will not be coming here again
