Service is OK but the food is great. If you want authentic Mexican food and don’t mind the wait, this is your place. I recommend to call in your order, the wait is ALWAYS long and waitresses take forever to return for any refills. Take out is always best for me!

Food is good. But their service sucks. I waited 1 hours to be attended and 30 minutes to get my food. This is the kind of place you’ll go to if you have all the time in the world to wait. The only reason i am giving it a 3 star review is because if it’s food other than that service alone is 1 star.

If you are looking for the best home made food? This is the spot. You will have to wait since it’s ALWAYS packed. The service could be better but still gets a 4stars…

Great food, great service. I am pleased EVERY time I go here. I suggest the chiliaquiles. Not listed on the menu so You gotta ask.

The first time I came to Lenchita’s we were amazed by the quality of the food. Our second and third visit were bad! Rude servers and the food was blah! No salt or taste. I have to admit that their tortilas are yummy. Other than the tortillas, the agua de horchata is also OK not delicious or amazing. I will come back only for their amazing tortillas hechas a mano.

Awesome stuff! 1^st time being there and it’s pretty damn good. Had the Sopes with salsa Verde and some bomb home made tortillas. You can definitely taste the quality. I live a bit far from it but hopefully will be returning… very soon lol definitely check it out. Better than most Mexican places out there.

This place is like going to an S&M dungeon, you know your going to be treated bad before you walk in but you like it and keep going back. Food is authentic and Delicious. Service is horrible and the waitress will Definitely take forever and give you attitude, if your willing to accept the crappy service you’ll love this place

A few friends recommended this place, so I went and ordered what my friends recommended, only to find out that they only accept cash. Luckily there was a gas station across the street and they had an ATM.
I ordered the #2, #6 and #9 — I forgot the names. I brought it home for the family taste test. They all gave a 4 stars.
The hand made tortilla was the bomb. The food was very tasty and not too spicy — we topped them with their home made red and green chili.
The restaurant itself needs a facelift. It looked pretty dead and dark. Other than that, the food was excellent!

As a veteran of this establishment you must know… This is real Mexican food. No American influence at all. I say that with all due respect. This is the real deal. I must agree with Sergio A’s review. Well done! These tortillas are fresh, homemade and enough carbs for an entire day! The beans and rice are fresh and seasoned perfectly. This is a family favorite of ours, and it’s fair to say I’ve grown up eating this food. It is legit. I’ve had EVERY single thing on the menu and my favorite still remains the Costillas. (Super tender and succulent pork ribs in a mild red chile sauce that is delicious!) the Carne Asada is also perfect as well as their burritos (they are so simple– meat, lettuce, cheese. But there is something so good about its simplicity!) The Carne Asada is seasoned well and everything just tastes better because it’s all so fresh. We know the proprietor and I can vouch for the quality of food. I will say though, that service can be less than great sometimes, because this place is always packed, and these ladies gotta hustle. I love that it’s all women and that they work hard! There is always a line on weekends, so the best time to go is weekday mornings past 9! Cash only! Try the dulces (super sugary yam candy) and the horchata. Home made and delish! Gotta give my girls at Lenchita’s five stars!

I started coming to this place about 10 yrs ago. Yes it’s like of a hole in the wall but the food is so authentic. My husband usually calls it in, then picks it up. Good food does take time to make, so yes you will be there for a while if you don’t call in to place your order. We stick to the (Costillas) plate –lil ribs in bomb red sauce. But one of these days I will try a different plate.

The food is amazing! Hand made tortillas are the best but they’re phone service is the WORST. I call and they don’t even try to put me on hold, and I’ve noticed when I’m physically there they don’t answer phones right away they let them ring. Just recently I called, they answered and hanged up on me. Either way, I love their food and always come back.

This is the best place to get some Asada tacos with some hand made tortillas. The only issue is the seating arrangements need some improvements, It’s total chaos.

I loveeeee the sopes de asada! That’s my go to order! It comes with 2 sopes, rice, beans, and salsa on the side. It’s a really filling plate! I always order to go because they’re service is kind of slow inside and if u call ahead they can usually get ur order ready in 15 mins or so (don’t quote me on that, it can vary based on how busy it is. Duh!) it’s also cash only, no atm available. All the tortillas and sopes are hand made on site and they are bomb! Definitely a must try at least once especially if u live in a Pacoima! It’s a big part of the community! It definitely reminds me of home cooked Mexican food! Love it!

La comida es buena muy casera pero lamentablemente las empleadas no sirven por lo menos la q me atendió hasta los cubiertos se saco del mandil q x cierto lo trae muy sucio. asqueroso se mira eso. después que le dije se porto un poco amable para eso ya era tarde … no regreso

If you come here you’re basically eating hand made tortillas. Their huge and thick.
The service is awful, there was no variety of meats. It was literally asada (which is dry AF) and chicken that taste like supermarket rotisserie chicken. The tacos come with lettuce and cheese wtf what kind of «authentic Mexican place doesn’t put cilantro and onions.
I’m blown away of how busy this place. Makes me wonder what else this town has to eat.
And this place is cash only. Get with the times people. Who carries cash anymore.
And no soap in the restrooms.

I’ve tried several things from the menu and some have been great while others not so much. The tortillas are great because they are handmade. Chiles rellenos are great, tacos, gorditas and sopes are all good too. Chile verde or carne en molcajete are ok. I usually get lots of fat which ruins my meal when I bite into them.

So i order Albondigas and they only give me one potatoe and two Meat balls, no Vegetables and it tasted disgusting this place stinks there food Sucks! flys every where I asked for a refund because I didn’t eat that Nasty food the woman did not want to give me my money back! I will be reporting them to the Department of Public health. worst Restaurant I ever been to. it looked like a filthy cafeteria.

This place is right in the center of Pacoima. What makes this place above the rest is their handmade tortillas. Made fresh to order. Everything here is made from scratch from their Salsas to the delicious soups. Perfect for rainy cold days. The tacos are not your standard taco truck size, they are big… almost as big as flour tortillas. If your craving your grandmas homemade tortillas you won’t go wrong here! They are amazing! They have plenty of Aguas frescas and the horchata is made just right. A local favorite.

Ladies in aprons making handmade tortillas and real Mexican dishes no knock-​offs here.
