Perfect quick stop for on and off the 5 freeway. We both had a Carne Asada taco and a Carnitas taco with warm corn tortillas that were homemade and delicious! We had the pups with so it was great to be able sit on the patio. If you’re looking for authentic, this is the place to stop. Friendly service too.

It’s a small business in the heart of Pacoima, but the line was out the door. The staff is friendly and fast! We’ve been wanting to find a good Carnitas Place and«Carnitas Loya» has what it takes. Carnitas are soft and juicy, the tacos de langua have a delicious flavor. Salsas are great and flavorful. We also bought a piece of Chicharrón con carne which is just Michoacán style, crispy NOT hard like other places, meat is delicious and great for the person who knows.

I love the cueritos and the pineapple water. They honestly make the best pineapple water. Their tacos de cueritos are soooo delicious. Only thing the owner I believe he’s skinny and has mustache is a bit weird mostly he’s sense of humor and it takes a while to receive your order.

I am really excited about this find tonight. I feel it’s as good as Carnitas El Momo, considered the best carnitas in the United States. Now that I think about it. I think I prefer THESE tacos more than Carnitas El Momo in Boyle Heights! I was pleasantly surprised of this little taqueria in Pacoima serving up some excellent Michoacan-style tacos on handmade tortillas. The name of the restaurant is misleading. It’s not fast food. It took a long time for them to put my order of two tacos together. Trust me and just go for their carnitas tacos!

Truly exceptional food here. If you love carnitas you must come here. What is being served elsewhere cannot compare. Their other food is also excellent. Every detail is perfect, fresh, well chosen.

I haven’t been here literally in years! Decided to give it another try being that I live close by. I ordered the nachos de carnitas and the bf a torta de asada and I got a chicken taco for my son. Although they forgot the cheese(weird as its nachos), they were still some of the best nachos I’ve had! The carnitas are so juicy and tender, the chicken had no fat, my son devoured the taco and I tried my bf’s torta and just as delish! The place is small, and only outdoor seating but that’s ok I will take it to go. The staff is friendly and welcoming, I will definitely become a regular here for some more delicious carnitas yumm!

This place lives up to the hype! My wife ordered the carnitas plate and she loved it. She’s one that usually tampers with her food by adding things… this time she didn’t. The only thing is that they placed a jalapeño on top(which I gladly ate in 2 bites) so, if you don’t like spicy(I know everyone does) make sure to order it without one. I wanted to try the burrito(I’m a diehard lover of burritos) I wanted to give it a try. I tried the asada burrito with everything in it. The burrito comes with a jalapeño and homemade tortilla chips drizzled in pinto bean sauce. I chowed down the jalapeño(including my wife’s) and chips before opening the burrito. Now, I opened my burrito and took the first bite without adding any salsa AKA chile(they give you red and green chile) it was AMAZING! Halfway through I decided to add the green chile(since I love green chile beyond life) it was still good, but, not what expected. I then moved on to the red chile(red chiles in my experience are harder to get the heat and taste just right) the red chile is spicy and taste BOMB! I finished with my lips burning, a full stomach and found an old friend in red chile again! This place is GREAT and must when in The Valley.

The food is delicious. The reason I gave it only one star is because their customer service is horrible. There’s always a long line and you would think that by now they would’ve figured out a way to move the line quickly and more efficiently. We waited 50 minutes in line to buy chicharones to go. The same person whom is taking orders is the same person who is preparing and giving out the orders. They need a second and third window open or one person taking orders and another giving the out. Will think twice before visiting this place again.

I will start of by saying that the carnitas tacos are A M A Z I N G !! The best I’ve ever had! They are big & hand made. The carnitas are moist and literally melt in your mouth. On the other hand, my BF had a carne asada taco and carne asada nachos. He would like you all to know that the meat is flavor less and the tortilla chips were STALE. Let’s not forget, you will wait a very long time for your food.

My mouth is watering from thinking about this bomb ass place! Seriously, carnitas is probably one of the many perks of being a Mexican. Like, for real for real. I mean, who in their right mind would hate on a bomb ass carnitas taco w/a handmade tortilla? Would you kill a carnitas taco if it was placed right in front of your face with the green light of knowing you can eat it? Pffffft. Yeah the f you would! Seriously, if you’re in these neck of the woods id definitely stop by and get myself a few tacos. You won’t regret it. I love that they aren’t stingy w/their meat. When you ask for a taco, it is 80% meat. Not like these other uptight ass spots you go to & there’s like 5 tortillas and 3 chunks of meat –_– and the taco costed $ 3.99. Uhmmmm, what? Lol. Not here. Give them a try. You won’t be disappointed: D

Amazing food. Their carnitas were moist and full of flavor. The tacos were served on fresh hand made corn tortillas and the chicharones we fried to perfection. The chili that they serve on the side is not to spicy made with roasted chilies. This is no place for snooty people so leave your fancy pants at home.

First of all their puerco is no joke! I have had their tacos de buche as well as their tacos de carnitas. I can only eat 2 tacos because these are not your average street tacos. These are served on large homemade tortillas and they are very generous with their meat. This place is run down and old and in need of some serious upgrades, reminds me of an establishment right out of Mexico. The people who work here are very friendly like your tios and tias. So do yourself a favor if you want some scrumptious puerco go get it here.

This is a quaint little Mexican spot at the corner of Laurel Cyn and Van Nuys Blvd. I ordered two tacos and a quesadilla. They hand make they’re tortillas, and these aren’t your typical street tacos… these are huge. I got a large glass coke as well… total was $ 14…and be sure to bring cash. I dropped one star due to the fact parking is tricky at times, and the prices are higher than normal.

I have not had a chance to write a review on this place until today… I give it 3 stars & it is not based on their Carnitas, because those a delicious but more because of one major thing that compliments their delicious meat. Their«SALSA»! I have eaten here many times and everytime I eat their I. Get their salsa HOPING that for some reason it would change… But NO It does’nt! For some odd reason it taste OLD&ACEDO(Spanish For Old & Almost To The Point Of Going Bad) I dont know if they keep old Salsas from previous days and do not refrigerate correctly or what, but that to me is and will keep me away. I cannot continue to give my money to a place that does not taste or try their own food to taste the quality of their products. I will give this place another try maybe a month from now, to see if they read their reviews and change their approach to their salsas and then I will give it another review(Crossing my fingers they do) because I want to eat here again.
