La Mordida Taqueria

I NEVER post anything on Unilocal,but in this case I feel like its a must. Customer service is terrible, no manager or supervisor around in case anything hits the fan. Went in to buy a breakfast burrito, then they give you a choice of meat to add to the burrito. My go to is usually choosing all 3, chorizo, ham, and bacon. The cashier simply says no, we cant add all 3 meats. My initial reaction was shocked as i have been coming here for years. I asked if i could pay extra money to have all 3 meats. «No» was the only thing she said. Is there a boss around? «no», can i pay extra for the meat «no». Will no longer be going back here as the service has taken a turn for the worst. Go to the one up the street its better anyways.

I am usually pleased by this restaurant and have had many good experiences in the past. The reason for this one star is that I was into my second bite of my shrimp burrito and I noticed about a 2 inch strand of hair accompanied by a couple smaller hairs that looked like they came off of someone’s 5 o’clock shadow. I was so disgusted I spit out my food, threw it away, and walked out. That was my last time I’m ever setting foot in the taqueria.
Although the hairy food ruined my experience, I really liked the customer service they had to offer, really nice.

If you’re looking for a late night bite in Pacifica, chances are you’ll end up here since it’s the only place that’s open late (besides the pizzeria). Great selection of food, great for late night munchie runs.

Ordered the super quesadilla last week… Came back today for same order. Good, fast, friendly and local.

This taqueria has the most authentic Mex food I have had in the Bay Area. A place like this is just a gem because there are no decent Mexican restaurants within 10 miles and I am too lazy to drive further. The staff is attentive and the food always comes out in less than 10 minutes, I have been here at least 10 times and I never had to wait much for my food. I won’t spend time describing specific dishes because all of them deserve a 5 star rating.

I love this place now! When it first opened, it had issues. But now, it’s the best in town. As the Green Enchilada started to get really bad, this place took its place as the go to place for burritos. New cooks maybe? But it’s great! And open late!

First time here for the boyfriend and I. Last minute stop since grand de oro was closed. We were pretty impressed with both the food and the service. The line was slightly long upon arrival but the cashier moved faster than expected and powered through the line with a friendly smile. Salsa bar had a variety of offerings and containers were clean and fresh. Since we were starving in the beginning we asked for another basket of chips and they were delighted to give another. Food came out in a timely manner and it not only looked fantastic but tasted great! Portions were solid sized as well! We got the carnitas plate and the carne asada nachos. I asked for beans and sour cream on the side and that’s exactly how it came. Carnitas were moist and not dry, how they can often be at times at taquerias. Best part was the carnitas weren’t loaded with chunks of fat that typically make them super greasy. We even got a Coke in a bottle to top off our meal! The restaurant continued to pack in with customers which means they have delicious food! I will FOR SURE come back again!

When I was staying in Pacifica, I think I ate at this restaurant every day for lunch with my friend. Their food and salsa is really tasty — highly recommend.

I really, really wanted to like this place more — we’ve eaten here on several occasions and every time, at least one order is off. This last visit — requested and watched cashier write down — super shrimp burrito with black beans, less rice, add lettuce, spicy salsa. When I got home, found out it was basically a burrito of black beans and unseasoned, boiled shrimp with a little bit of guac, salsa, and cheese. No rice or lettuce. +1 for generous amount of shrimp, but I wasn’t expecting a burrito sized amount of black beans and shrimp. Stick to the SF taquerias when you can.

This place is just down the street from where I live. My girlfriend and I like their selection and enjoy the food. I always get a burrito and 2 tacos. The burritos are usually wrapped well, but it depends on who is in the back cooking because sometimes I get a burrito wrapped well or one that falls apart after 3 bites. Regardless of the way they are wrapped, I thoroughly enjoy it.
That being said, the reason I gave it 3 stars was for the food and the reason it doesn’t get 4 or 5 is because of the service. The reason I stopped going there is because of the girl behind the counter. She has blonde hair (fake) and is short and chubby. I described her because there are 3 girls and the other 2 are very pleasant and have great customer service. This girl is horrendous. I don’t expect to have my butt kissed, that’s not what I mean, but she doesn’t even do the bare minimum of customer service. She acts as if she doesn’t want to be there, she gives an attitude, doesn’t even fake a smile even though you’re kind enough to put a dollar in their tip jar. She just gives you a receipt stub that is suppose to have your order number on it, but doesn’t tell you what the number is with 7 numbers on it. In the past, she has «accidentally» charged extra multiple times. Reading other reviews, I’m not the only other person this has happened to. She is very rude to men, but very welcoming to women. I do not care if that’s her sexual preference, but you should treat every paying customer equally. I have refused to go in there for the last 8 months and give them any business, except yesterday, after a hard day of work, I gave in and went in there. I was greeted with the same girl, with the same horrible attitude. She walks everybody’s food out who ordered, but when it came to my order, she was texting on the phone and pointed at the cook to bring the food out to me. I was lightweight offended and that completely sealed it that they WILL NEVER recieve my business again until she is no longer there.

Carnitas was delicious! Rice and chips were very good. Prices seemed fair. Big portions, we had leftovers we took home. Basic table seating and could have been a little cleaner. Beer is available and very reasonable. We liked the little condiment bar with salsas, limes, onions and peppers. We’ll be back to try the nachos and maybe the fajitas.

I’ve been here three times and each of the times I’ve came here the food is really oily and very bland! Claim they’re authentic but where’s the spice and flavor? I’ve had their skimpy carnita burrito which was bite after bite of oil! Yuuuck. And their tacos are very bland as well. They will not be getting my business anymore.

Have been a weekly visitor since my move to Pacifica. Good burritos and tacos. Most employees are friendly. They do get a little busy, so calling ahead for to go orders always helps. Everything seems fresh, and have excellent taste.

Best taqueria in Pacifica.

The best chicken burrito in the area. The chicken is crispy and has lots of flavor. It is hard to find a good tasty chicken burrito. This place has them. The asada burritos are also very good.

Just another local business taking advantage of the fact that for now there isn’t much competition! I’m from San Diego and this place would be out of business immediately and might make it in the Mission, actually no it wouldn’t! If i’m craving mexican, I’m just going to drive to the Mission or Daly City because this is definitely NO BUENO! Just seems like Pacifica is just a fantastic place to open sub par business and some how manage to stay in business for now!

Cheap tasty and good plate dinners. Not just burito or taco but good combination plates. Spacey compared to SF. I enjoy’d it.

Great food, but what is up with the logo? Did a ‘designer’ design it, and who said, «Yes — I like that design. Take my money»??
Other than that, great work!

Been here twice. Had the carnitas plate and carne asada taco the first time. Taco plate (2 carne asada and 1 carnitas) the second time.
Liked it more the second time. The carnitas were super flavorful. Nice juicy and crispy!
I like going here after the gym, 24 is right next door.

My sister and I dropped by for lunch. Our order was taken quickly and our meals were delivered promptly.
I had a cheese quesadilla which was delicious and just huge.
My sister had a banado burrito which she said was also very good, albeit huge.
