The business is closed. However, Pamela(the main manicurist /co-owner of this business) is curently working nearby at Rosie & Nails. She has provided excellent service for the Pacific Palisades clients during last 15 years.

Be forewarned, this is a long rant. Let’s start from the beginning. My sister and I made an appointment for gel manicures at 3:30 and arrive a few minutes early. We open the door, and are immediately shocked by the sight of a half-naked man receiving a massage in one of the spa chairs… Okay, we’ll forgive that(but seriously?). We’re told to select colors from a box, so I choose from that little color wheel and show the manicurist. «No.» Literally all she says to me when I show her the color. «No.» I ask her why, she shakes her head, looking disgusted, and says«no.» I figure they’re out of that color, but then I go through the box and find it. I pull it out and hand it to her. She makes a face, and at this point we’re pretty confused but also, it’s somewhat hilarious. She starts to soak my hands in COLD water. Not super enjoyable. Meanwhile, my sister is just sitting, bored, because apparently when you make 2 appointments they think you’re okay with having one manicurist between the two of you. She cuts my cuticles(in that painful way where I’m wincing the whole time), and then starts to paint my nails. THEENTIRETIME, she is looking at my hands like she’s severely disappointed in me. Halfway through, she looks at my hand, says«no» again, and proceeds to wipe off all the polish. «Another color,» she says. I try asking others working there why. They seem to say that she’s worried I won’t like the color(I. CHOSE. IT. DEARGODJUSTDOMYNAILS). Then something about the quality of the polish. That pisses me off. If you know the quality is bad, throw it out, don’t paint half of my nails and then shake your head and say«no» until I want to tear my hair out. I give in and choose another color because we’ve already committed to this place, and at the very least it’s providing some serious entertainment(half-naked middle-aged man is still being caressed in the background). Okay, so the new color is being applied, my sister is sitting on her phone waiting, and this manicurist is using a razor-sharp nail to move skin away from my nail. Whatever. It finally ends and my nails look fine. My sister goes through the same thing. That night, her gel nail polish chipped. We paid $ 65 for the both of us. As my sister said, «I’m just mad that a place like this exists.» PS what type of manicure doesn’t include hand lotion???

Well my nails chipped 2 hours after I got them done at this very uncomfortable and weird place. Thankfully they have me a full refund when I came back the next day. The staff is nice but they fail to do a good job

I went to this nail salon based on the previous reviews and I have to say it is a great nail salon! I have been twice and both times I left with my nails looking amazing. I had a shellac manicure and pedicure which does take a bit of time and I never felt rushed. They are very thorough, very friendly, and really make sure you are comfortable and having a good experience. I have had both Pamela and Kim do my nails and they really are fantastic. I am a bit finicky when it comes to getting my nails done so I can’t say enough good about this place. Plus, their pricing is extremely reasonable. I have definitely found my nail salon in the Palisades!

I love getting my nails done here. In fact, I go out of my way to come here. My nails last at least two weeks with the quality of polishes they use and they have a nice selection. Everyone is friendly and professional. They have been working here so long its like a family. This tiny nail salon costs a little more than some of the other salons but its totally worth it. Nothing fancy here but its comfortable, spa chairs optional, with a job well done. Its like Cheers where everyone knows your name, your feet, and your love life.
