4 stars because I absolutely love and have never had a bad experience before, but I found dandelion weeds in my ahi salad I ordered for take out tonight. I noticed them because the spiny leaves scratched the roof of my mouth all up
Just a heads up to their employees/​management of you’re reading this: please pay a little more attention to what you’re serving.
I didn’t bother calling to complain or asking for my money back, I know things like this are bound to happen when you’re dealing with fresh food. I still love Urbane either way

First time eating here and I enjoyed my experience. Didn’t take long for them to give me my food to go. Portion is great and I was surprise to see it came along with a salad. Everything was so delicious. Definitely coming back. (:

This is my to go place for lunch! I work nearby and this is my top choice from everything else in the area. Everything I have ordered here is so good. My favorite is the SoCal sandwich. Their sandwiches come with a side salad and dressing. It’s definitely worth your buck!

I was introduced to Urbane Café a while back by a friend. I was hesitant about trying their food but she told me that I HAD to try the Southwest Chicken.
One day my friend and I were in the area and she treated me to a Southwest Chicken. Annnd oh my goodness this sandwich was off the charts! It was so flavorful! The chicken was tender and juicy, the cheese was ooey gooey, the avocado black bean salsa was perfect, the chipotle aioli was not too spicy, and the bread was super soft. What more could I ask for?!! It was perfect! Everything in this particular sandwich was perfectly well balanced. BUT WAIT, we cannot forget about Urbane Café’s side salad that comes with each sandwich. The salad is simple but perfect! I love the crumbled cheese and balsamic vinaigrette that accompanies the salad. The salad pairs perfectly with the Southwest Chicken sandwich.
Ever since that day, the Southwest Chicken sandwich has been my go-​to choice at Urbane Café.
At this particular location I have been let down a few times but I won’t dock a star for that. The first time I was sent home with cold chicken and the second time they mixed up my order with someone else’s and gave me a SoCal Chicken.
Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant! Its great. They give nicely sized portions for what you pay and the ingredients are of nice quality. You can tell that this restaurant doesn’t skimp on quality. I also recommend you go here around lunch time, which will ensure you get your sandwich hot but do make sure to check your meal before leaving (if you take it to go) because it can get easily mixed up with all the hussle and bussle that the lunch rush creates.

I had the Californian and it was delicious. The side salad it came with was also very tasty.
I will be back for sure to try the other menu items.

Fresh variety of sandwiches with a side salad (house) delicious and flavorful. They only serve sandwiches, salads and soup. A better alternative than Subway! Prices are responsible and service was ok. Order, sit yourself and wait for your vibrator to go off, puck up your meal and enjoy. No fluff just good fresh sandwiches.

I liked my BLAT (BLT + avocado) and the hubs liked his ahi salad special. Smart, friendly cashier. Fast service. I’d eat here again if I needed to grab lunch in the area, but it wasn’t super exciting. They’re serving the same menu as a lot of other places.

A friend of mine had introduced this place to me way back when they were only located in Ventura. I was hooked & stoked when they opened one up in Oxnard & Camarillo.
You can easily view the menu on the «more info» tab with a list of all their sandwiches, salads, extra sides, & soups. What makes this place great is their fire baked focaccia bread! It’s like the cherry on top of the salads & sandwiches.
If you’re counting macros, they have a nutrition calculator online as well.
Ways to order: call by phone or online, they have an app as well. If you have a catering order, they can do it for you on the day of & put it in a neat box to keep it fresh.

I had the So Cal chicken sandwich, it was very good, it did get a little spicy toward the end. The food was fresh and served fast and everything went well. Luckily there is one of these by my house because it’s a great place for lunch.

If you’re looking for a not so standard sandwich place, try Urbane Café. They have quite quite a few vegetarian options and amazing fire baked bread.
I love their Bella Portabello sandwich which is served with an ample side salad. It’s got a great flavor and perfectly gooey, but not soggy!

The Green Chile sandwich definitely hit the spot after a good workout. Unlike another popular sandwich chain that gives you $ 5 worth of 12 inches of bread, the chicken, chilies, tomatoes, onions and cheese filled every bite! In regards to a healthy, flavorful post workout meal, this sandwich put Pxxxxx Bread to shame. I substituted the salad for the lemon chicken quinoa soup. I wasn’t disappointed.
The only draw back to the establishment was the single unisex restroom, thus the ⁴⁄₅ stars. I’m not in favor of that.

I’ve been to this Urban Café before and have been very pleased. However after my visit on Saturday night I will never be back. I ordered my food to go and have way into eating my food I realized there was dirt all over the lettuce in my sandwhich. I don’t understand how the staff does not realize there is dirt on the food when preparing it. It’s disgusting and I will never be back.

First time at an Urban Café. Sandwich (Californian) and side salad was great. Their fresh bread was delicious. All employees were friendly. Indoor and outdoor seating is very limited. Nice sandwich and salad concept.

I have to say, I have been in Ventura since I was 9 years old and my family has been coming to urbane café since it opened up as «urban» café. We love the sandwiches but I also love the salad that comes with it.
I moved to Charlotte for work about 7 months ago and came back for Thanksgiving so I was looking forward to eating at all my favorite VTA spots. I was utterly disappointed to find that Urbane café has dramatically reduced the size of the house salad and dressing cup that come with the sandwiches. One of the only salads that I actually enjoy.
Furthermore, the sandwich which I was looking so forward to eating was severely lacking ingredients which has never happened before. I’m normally full with one half a sandwich and the salad. I feel like I’m just eating bread! There are like no black bean corn salsa or chipotle aioli. Seriously disappointed in my super bland sandwich, shame on you Urbane Café, I used to love the way you treat your customers. I gave a 2^nd star for nostalgic purposes. :(

The sandwiches are good from here, made fresh and served with a bit of a side salad. There are enough choices to satisfy most from vegetarian to the meat lovers. The bread is good but the sandwiches could be better with a little more meat and cheese.

Not sure how it happened, but I’ve become a regular at Urbane! Their focaccia bread is made fresh and every sandwich I’ve tried (southwest chicken, tri-​tip, cilantro chicken) is delicious! The side salad that comes with the sandwiches is one of my favorites, with mixed greens, mandarin oranges and feta cheese with balsamic vinaigrette dressing. The soups are delicious, and are also made fresh. Urbane is a healthy choice for lunch or dinner!

Had lunch on the patio today with my dogs and I had the café salad and it was delicious. The salad was kind of skimpy on the greens today but was still good. I wish they had umbrellas on all the tables because we had to sit in the full sun with no cover. Kind of a bummer.

This place is amazing! Tried it for the first time after checking out the Farmers Market and was definitely impressed! Great atmosphere and love the environment. Ordered a «Californian» sandwich which is included a side of mandarin salad with balsamic vinaigrette dressing. The Californian sandwich included artichoke hearts, Jack cheese, sun-​dried tomatoes, and avocados. Delicious! I honestly only ate half of the sandwich at the restaurant and saved the other half for later. ReAlly delicious and lots of flavors! It was about $ 8 for the plate, but definitely worth it! Delicious and satisfying! Definitely recommend to anyone who wants to eat a healthy, yet filling meal! Will definitely be back!

My friends and I went there on Tuesday. it was around 11:30 and there were a few customers waiting to order.
The restaurant is small and there are only some tables but you can eat outside too.
It was nice weather so we decided to eat outside.
I ordered Santa Maria BBQ Chicken sandwiches (Grilled BBQ Chicken, Cheddar Cheese, Ranch Dressing, Applewood-​Smoked Bacon, Housemade Apple Coleslaw) and a bottle of Lavender Lemonade, $ 11.82. All sandwiches include house side salad.
I liked it!!! The Ranch Dressing and Bacon were tasty and the Coleslaw was crunchy.
One of my friends ordered soup instead of house side salad. You can do it if you pay extra charge.
There are «Pizza Rev» and «Hook Burger» in the same area, so even though your friends and you want to eat different things, you can buy what you want each, and eat them outdoor space together!
※ There is shared parking in front of the restaurant. No problem to park.

Fresh, filling, flavorful, and healthy! What’s not to like about that?!
Service is fast and friendly. I walked in, ordered, was given a buzzer, and in under 10 minutes, was out the door, salad in hand.
I ordered the brussel sprout, beet, cranberry, and goat cheese salad. Perk: the salad comes with a slice of bread and the dressing is kept in a container on the side so you can add a little or a lot and not worry about eating a soggy salad later.
