Well… we went the second day after they’d reopened and the lines were an hour+ all morning long. So let’s just say the staff hasn’t quite hit their groove yet. Our group of four was seated at a long table that we had to share with another party of 4. Food took over an hour to come to the table.
I ordered the crab cake benedict. Their portions are MASSIVE, which is always exciting. Any my eggs were perfectly poached. I was a little disappointed though when I cut into my «crabcake» and realized that it was of the frozen, imitation variety. For a place that serves real crab omelets on the menu for virtually the same price, why would you not serve crabcakes made with actual crab meat? That makes no sense. The hollandaise was also of the can.

If you want an authentic American HOME MADE & FRESH hearty breakfast/lunch.This is the place to go… It is absolutely delicious and filling. They give you more than your dollars worth… And service is always superb…

I have loved Mrs. Olsens for years! But this experience at the new location was unpleasant. The food was delicious! (As always) (5 Stars!) but the customer service was terrible. All the girls look so pissed off. We showed up at 1pm for a late brunch & it seemed as if we were intruding in their space. With comments as they passed by like «I wanna go home!!» And «Why doesn’t my table close out already??» «It’s 2pm! I should be home.»
They made our first experience at the new location very uncomfortable.
Overall, great food! Amazing as always. Well worth the uncomfortable feelings.

Same great menu and huge portions, new location with plenty of parking for a change.
Same congenial waitresses with big smiles and friendly service.
Nothing has changed but the space; huge and airy with big windows over looking the Oxnard Harbor. They have twice as many tables and clean modern restrooms.
This is a classic breakfast places and everything is good. My favorite is Oatmeal and a generous portion of fruit. Hubby had BANGERS AND mash.
Love the new digs! We were here on the opening day. there is a bar upstairs that you can enjoy a cocktail while you wait, if you are so inclined. The Coffee Hut was slammed and we got the same great food without too much of a delay.

It’s the same only bigger! Same awesome menu. Same great staff. Located now, right under the Lookout in the CI Harbor. More seating and a great view only compliment an already established icon.
