Just finished breakfast with my family of 6 here. Several tables were seated after us and they all got their food before us. They didn’t check up on us once and when we asked where our food was, they told us they prepared food for all the other tables because they were smaller tables even if they were seated after us(why would you tell us that lol). They did apologize at the end of the meal… To tell us that a cook walked out on them but the apology probably should’ve come while we were waiting for food and without the explanation that they decided to wait on cooking our food until patrons who were seated after us were served. We will not be returning. Btw, food was just ok.

This place has gone sooo downhill in the last few months — smaller lunch menu, only open until 2, no longer offers military discount, and the service is poor. The last few times we have been there, the waitress(same one) forgot to put my sons order in. We ordered chicken strips and she said because he was little, she told them to cook them longer and they came out as hard and too difficult for him to eat. Then, she tried to kiss him on the mouth which is a HUGE no-no to us. I visited for lunch a few weeks ago and the same waitress totally hovered and asked if we were ready to order literally every 2 minutes. She came out at least 10 times within the hour to see if we needed something. There’s a fine line between being attentive and being annoying. They still have their onion rings which is about the only thing going for them at this point. It makes me so sad because we don’t have many places to go near by! They used to be packed every morning and now, I rarely see many patrons. Such a shame because they were sooo good!

Okay before anyone reads this review, let me tell you first. The food was delicious, but our waitress was one of the rudest people I have ever met. As someone who was a waitress before, even on my tired or long days, I know better than to treat a guest like that. Me and my sister in law weren’t greeted right away, but she saw us, looked twice, until we kept staring, and she finally acknowledged us, and seated us. We got some coffee, and than she asked right away for our order. We didn’t even open the menus yet, so we asked for a little more time. Twice she asked us again, within a really short time span. When I asked a question about a special going on, the waitress was so rude. «Does the breakfast burrito come with fries» «NO.» No smile, no anything, at least have suggested if I wanted to order it on the side. So after we placed our order, she brought out the food, and I asked if I could have extra salsa. Looking annoyed, she turned back rudely, «I have to charge you extra, is that fine?» Like even if it was extra I didn’t need the annoyed look or the rude attitude. After she she brought it, I asked for a glass of water. Walking away, no sarcasm, she turned back, annoyed again and said, «I’m going to kill you» What the hell? Really? I was so shocked by such rudeness. I didn’t leave a tip, I have never done that at a restaurant in my whole life. I have tipped slow waitresses, maybe some not as friendly. But that was just rude, and disrespectful. I don’t know if I would be coming back, I mean how could I after being treated like that. Very disgusted.

I ordered 2 breakfast plates to go and was pretty disappointed. Based on the reviews i expected a delicious meal but I was let down. Visiting from out of town and we ordered the chicken fried steak(which was the only thing we really enjoyed) and the fried chicken n waffles. The fried chicken was very poor quality in taste n poorly made. They also didn’t even give any condiments such as ketchup or syrup… eating dry waffles soaked in chicken grease wasn’t what i expected. Oh well it was worth a try!

Pro: I thought the food tasted good. The waitress was friendly. Con: One of our dishes was supposed to come with Avocados, it didn’t, but was corrected. I think the food is slightly over priced for the quality.

Excellent service here! I definitely suggest the caramel cappuccino. The food is better than average I would say. I would recommend this location to whoever is around the Oxnard area :)

Well according to my Fiancé we had to knock it down a star due to seating. But don’t let this sway you away, this food is to die for. The gravy should be illegal, honestly a controlled substance. I had the NY chicken fried steak… Amazing! I cannot say enough how great the food was. The service was wonderful, only two servers but they never left is unattended or our coffee cups run dry. I can honestly say we have found a our new favorite breakfast location.

Hands down one of the best breakfast I’ve had in a very long time. Everything on the perfect opportunity for the fruit its lights up and bite sized morsels and the strawberries and pineapples. My only complaint is the cook with Pam, so I had them cook it dry

If you’re looking for a good breakfast, lunch, or brunch, this is definitely a place to check out! Service: The service was good; they were very welcoming and helpful from the start. It didn’t take long for the food to come out, and yes, they cook it right after you order it. They are very frequent in checking in if you need anything and if everything is satisfactory. Cleanliness: Everything was clean. There is ONE bathroom for both males and females, and it’s decently clean. The door may seem like it doesn’t lock, but it’s just a little loose. Taste: We ordered a caramel cappuccino, which by the way was DELICIOUS. It had the perfect mix of caramel flavor. The meat lover’s omelette was likewise delicious. The flavors seriously pop your taste buds. All the meats(bacon, ham, sausage) really blended together with the eggs and cheese to give it a strong, flavorful taste. The tuna melt sandwich, which was the special of the day, did not look appealing to the eye, but it definitely was also yummy. It was fresh and tasted great, Atmosphere: The place was noisy, since it’s located right at the side of a busy road. It’s also very windy and can get cold, especially since they open up every door. There is seating both indoors and outdoors, and the outside seating has a roof over your head with nice shade. Other: There is 15% military discount for active duty. They have free wi-fi, but you need to ask the owner for the password. I was slightly upset that I wasn’t told about the wi-fi. It’s not advertised, and the servers did not let us know. Also, they do NOT accept American Express, just a heads up. Overall, I had a great first experience at this café. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good breakfast. The price is not expensive but not cheap either, it’s just right for what I got. Try it out, you’ll definitely enjoy this place!

Best little café for breakfast on the patio I could find while here in Port Hueneme for work. Good food & fluffy French toast. Service is great & friendly, and what’s better than hot coffee with a saltwater breeze?

I enjoy the fact that this lovely café is right around the corner from our condo! Food is yummy, employees/owners are nice and I love sitting outside. One thing I’d say is they are slow but hey if your in a hurry this may not be the spot for you :) I’ll be back for sure

OMGOMG The biscuits and gravy!!! OMG! The gravy isn’t white, it’s on the yellow side, but whatever, its sooo good! OK, enough plotzing. The service was excellent, and our waitress was super friendly. If you call ahead, they might make a special omelet for you. Very cute décor inside, and an easy walk to the beach to work off breakfast. Did I mention the biscuits and gravy? OMG!

Nice little place with indoor and outdoor seating. I came here for breakfast on a late Sunday morning and had to wait just a few minutes for a table of 4 to open up inside. I decided to go with the pancake sandwich with scrambled eggs and sausage. I was very interested in ordering this item because I had ordered this same sort of dish at a different restaurant, and it was not a sandwich at all. just your normal pancake breakfast. So I was happily surprised when my pancake sandwich actually looked like a pancake sandwich. Scrambled eggs and several sausage links sandwiched between 2 pancakes. In my opinion, this dish was pretty good. I like eating things together. The light and tasty pancakes went well with the savory sausages and sweet syrup. I usually eat my scrambled eggs with ketchup, but found myself not missing it much. The service is friendly and yes, expect a bit of a wait for the food because as they claim, it is made to order. Our waiter seemed to be in training because he kept coming back to our table and asking about our orders after we had already ordered. Understandable. if he was in training!

First time here and I like it. I had the traditional benedict. That is a deceptively simple dish to prepare and I have not found any place, in this area, that prepares it well, until now. The hollandaise was the perfect consistency and the eggs were poached to the exact doneness they should have been. Thank you, thank you thank you. I also liked the variety of the menu and if the yumminess of the other food is as good as the breakfast I just had, then I’m going to be a real regular there. Very nice, helpful and attentive server and really good coffee. This is a new place… 1 month, so I hope it doesn’t change. 2 things though… I wasn’t able to connect to the wifi,(password wouldn’t work) important to me in this area because tmobile signal sucks out here… and I felt sorry for the server because she was working by herself helping a bunch of customers. She did well though. A new gem! Try it, you won’t be sorry.(And I’m VERY picky)
