Del Taco

Horrible service! We pulled up to the drive through order window at 10:59 to get our egg & cheese burritos. The worker told us to hold on for a minute then came back at 11:03 to take our order. However, we couldn’t order our burritos, because now according to the worker, it was 3 minutes after they stop serving breakfast. Seriously? We were ready to order before the cut off time so you would think they would honor that request. After pushing a bit, the worker said they ran out of eggs. Come on, that’s a bit hard to believe. Even the manager wouldn’t budge. Very poor customer service. Del Taco, you just lost some long time customers!

Wish I was exaggerating when I’m saying that I sat in the freaking drive thru for 10 minuets before even getting close to ordering. –_​– if it could be given negative stars it would’ve been done. Make your drive thru better.

Worst drive through EVER!!! Always ten cars deep, and even when it’s only 2 – 3 cars they still take forever!!!

Very good considering it’s fast food just had dinner a few hours ago fed the whole family with ten doll ordering from the value menu no drinks included good way to feed the family when your on a budget

Bomb food. Great service. Try the flatbread chicken taco. It’s great for breakfast too. One of those and I’m set.

Customer service needs improvement. second time I visit this location. Slow drive thru and incomplete order. Even the shift leader couldnt even smile or fake it. On the other hand, Nachos were good.

Del taco tries hard like its competitors. I find that Del Taco’s employees are more consistent in portion sizes than Taco Bell. Both companies have standards for taste, portions, appeal (aesthetic or gastronomical) etc., and I will admit that Iwill get a hankerin’ for Del or the Bell once in a while. The only difference being, when I patronize Taco Bell, I make it a point to ask the cashier to make sure my tacos don’t come half empty. Del taco will over-​fill the shell which is nice.

The lines in the drive thru are ALWAYS Long!!! On more than one occasion I’ve spent 15 mins waiting. Not acceptable.

Disclaimer: This is a 4 star fast food, non-​authentic Mexican restaurant… not to be compared to, or confused with, my other 4 star ratings. Got to keep it relative folks.
Now, first off… Ditto to the other tips/reviews…The drive thru here from about 6 to 8 pm on Taco Tuesday night is like a mini 405, on a Friday, minus the carpool lane. Avoid if possible. The funny thing is, the tacos here are cheap all week. On Tuesday, I think they drop from 49 cents to 39 cents… In other words you’d have to buy 10 to save a buck. I honestly consider ever day taco day here.
Moving on, if you like crinkle cut fries you’ll be in heaven at Del. Even better, try the chili cheese fry burrito, it’s like having a little angel on one shoulder and the devil on the other.
Other sinful pleasures, try the strawberry shake, it’s a «Whatchu talkin’ bout Willis» sort of moment. You might expect it from Foster Freeze or Diary Queen but Del does it best. Other goodies, chicken tacos, macho nachos, and my new favorite… the Cali Steak & Guac epic burrito. I didn’t really care for the other epic burritos but this one is actually damn good.
On the bad side, the only have outside bathrooms. Best part, a female Mexican employee in her late 30’s/early 40’s who is always pleasant and provides friendly service.

Love this place! Love there Tacos, Burritos, Burgers, Shakes and Chili Cheese Fries. I always have great meal. Never disappointed when I come to eat here. It’s a good place to stop and grab a bite to eat if you’re in the area.

Three cars in front of us and it took at least almost 10 minutes each for them to get their food till they got to us –30 minutes to even get to the front window. What kind of fast food place is this? Don’t come here if you’re going through the drive through that’s all I can say.

Sometimes I just need those chicken soft tacos, in multiples of 2. Usually when I want them, it happens to be Tuesday or Thursday, YES! This Oxnard location is by far the best of any in our area. I do ask myself, is it that the chicken soft tacos are so good, or the del scorcho sauce is so good? That may be one of life’s queries I’ll never be able to answer.

Worst drive thru ever! The lady asked me how am I doing & responded to her… After that I didn’t hear anything from her, not even a «just a second I’ll be right with you» just heard nothing so I initiated to order my food and still didn’t get a respond from her… After 3 to 4 more minutes she finally said something & guess what she said «sorry, can you repeat that» omg!!! So went to the 1^st window and paid the strawberry lemonade and I still have to wait for another 5 minutes to get my order!!! I just ordered lemonade and it took them over 10 minutes for that!

So it was almost 11 pm on a Saturday night. We were staying over at the Residence Inn and unfortunately the little lobby store was lacking in much of anything except for cookies, chips, and candy. With a half hour left before SNL starting, and not knowing the area at all, I checked Unilocal on my phone for a place close by to grab some food. Since it was so late, options were limited to fast food. McDonalds and the like didn’t sound good, so I ended up at Del Taco. There was a long line for the drive thru which could mean, it’s either really good or they’re really slow. Turned out to be the latter (at least for me). It took a long time to get the food and when I got back to our hotel room, SNL was in full swing. I then saw that the order was all messed up. I ordered Macho Nachos with chicken no jalapenos and ended up with Nachos with jalapenos and no tomatoes or sour cream. The chicken tacos without lettuce had lettuce, and the chicken quesadilla had no special request but ended up being, well… gross.
Maybe the food at all Del Taco’s tastes like this… I don’t know because I haven’t been to others. I just don’t recommend this particular Del Taco.

The only people that talk trash about Del Taco are people that have something up their rear. The food is very good. On nice Saturday afternoons, when the breeze is just right and the world around seems at rest, I like to take a nice walk over for a burger and chili fries.

I wasn’t sure what to do since today isn’t Taco Tuesday, but I ultimately succumbed to the power of female persuasion. Two tacos & a beef burrito for $ 5.08 did the trick just fine!
