Having worked in hospitality when I was younger, I do nitpick a bit when I stay at hotels. Our room was definitely clean. The beds were super comfy. I’d say more firm than soft but in a good way. They are not stiff as a board. I loved the alternative down comforter between 2 sheets. The comforter was perfect, but the double sheet coverage of it didn’t work very well. A duvet would be much better. I know comforters aren’t cleaned very regularly so the idea of the sheet protection was good, but didn’t work as well as a fixed duvet cover. The TV was nice. New, clear picture and it worked fine. The sink did not drain well but wasn’t bad enough to compromise anything. The shower head was a bit odd. You could turn it for different settings, but I’m pretty sure only 3 worked. I think this was the first time staying at a Baymont and I’ll definitely do it again.

SCREWEDOVER: Stayed here probably 10+ times just fine as a Miami University alumnus and parent of a military student. Made on-line reservations for 2017 graduation and military commissioning 2 months ago for about $ 75/night for 4 rooms. I have the confirmation number. Then received a telephone call a few days later from the manager named Desiree who cancelled my on-line reservation at told me to call her back on her private line today at 9am to book for graduation weekend 2017. I placed numerous calls today starting at 9:00am — 9:40 finally getting through to someone else who did not know of Desiree. Was told that graduation weekend would be $ 289 per night per room with a 2 night minimum that was payable immediately with no allowance for cancellation. I said no way. Needless to say I was SCREWEDOVER by Baymont Inn and will now stay at a Marriott in Middletown 20 miles away for $ 101 military rate for 1 night x 4 rooms for $ 400 instead of $ 289×2 night x 4 rooms = $ 2,312. Watch out for this manager and Baymont Inn’s practices. SHAMEFUL.

Horrible hotel. It’s not only dated but the General Manager has to be about the worst I have ever seen in the hospitality industry. After things didn’t work in my wife’s room(even their staff couldn’t figure out how to get the tv to work), she was rude and hung up on me. Then when my wife went to the front desk she was rude and arrogant with her. Steer clear of this hotel at all costs. Plenty of good hotels in Oxford.

Very friendly staff, but the hotel is somewhat drab and needs updating. Not a bad place to stay. We didn’t have a fridge or microwave in the room. Breakfast is minimal and not very enticing.

If you appreciate a comfy bed, free warm breakfast, helpful employees, and are looking for a convenient location when staying at Miami U, the Baymont hits all cylinders. Don’t get me wrong, I love a nice bathrobe and turn down service as much as the next girl, but when I am visiting a campus so far away from a metro city, it’s nice to grab a hotel a quick five minutes away, rather than drive over 30 + minutes to Cincinnati.

Better than the Sycamore inn anyway. Too bad it’s kind far from uptown, It’s not a easy distance in the ice and snow.
